Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Mo Kai wasn’t far from the battlefield.

After leaving the Peak Secret Realm, the more he thought about it, the more something felt off. Where did this unknown Peak expert come from, threatening him to submit to Su Qingfeng? It was simply ridiculous. This Peak expert acted like a hired shill!

As for the Yangxiang Race needing to submit to the human race to destroy the other seven races and thoroughly survive the tribulation? That was absolute nonsense.

He also didn’t know where his disciple, Hong Guo, had gone. Probably because the distance was too great, he couldn’t sense Hong Guo’s presence at all.

But looking back on it, he wondered if a majestic Peak expert had any reason to lie to him, or what his motive could possibly be. Did a long-dead Peak expert have any reason to scam him? And what was with that garbage prophecy? The claim that a Peak expert would die and a city would be destroyed in the near future sounded like the ramblings of a madman.

Ultimately, Mo Kai decided to check around Jing Niao City first; his disciple might have returned there. However, before Mo Kai even reached Jing Niao City, he heard the news that the city had gone to war with the human race. At this time, he was located near the Blood Boiling Race’s territory. Mo Kai snatched a few Source Image Stone screens from the Blood Boiling Race and began to observe the war.

It turned out that Cang Ji had already broken through. Mo Kai was startled at first, but then flew into a rage.

Dammit! He had clearly found the Peak Secret Realm and obtained the Peak serendipity, yet he only received one-tenth of it. It would be a lie to say Mo Kai wasn’t jealous that Cang Ji had beaten him to the breakthrough.

The progression of the war was thrilling. He originally thought the annihilation of Mao Yao City could already be considered a large-scale war, but who would have thought that compared to Jing Niao City, Mao Yao City was nothing. With so many Ninth Grade experts participating, this scale of war was a rare sight in the past ten years.

Eventually, Mo Kai witnessed the Palm Eye Race’s Ninth Grade, Ying Guanming, being slain by a Divine Land Ninth Grade general! Immediately after was the Yangxiang Race’s Qing Gai. Mo Kai knew Qing Gai; the two even had some bad blood. Qing Gai was Cang Ji’s junior brother and had always been incredibly arrogant.

Compared to the deaths of two Ninth Grades, the thing that shocked Mo Kai the most was Baiheng City. That’s right! Through the Source Image Stone’s screen, he had witnessed the entire process of Baiheng City’s destruction. During that time, Mo Kai held his breath the entire time.

The Martial Artists living in Baiheng City were all exceptionally wealthy or noble. Even a lowly Third Grade might dare to talk back to a Grandmaster. The permanent residents were all direct descendants of the Eight Races’ Ninth Grades and Peak experts. Mo Kai had visited Baiheng City once. At that time, even though he was already a Ninth Grade, he still had to tuck his tail between his legs and act exceedingly polite while walking down the street.

In Mo Kai’s heart, Baiheng City could be considered a Holy Land. The significance of that city was in no way inferior to the Eight Races Sacred Land. Yet such a Holy Land, even under the protection of a group of Peak experts, was still shattered into pieces by the human race. The humans had even used the Yangxiang Race’s cannons to do it!

Seeing the destruction of Baiheng City, Mo Kai was genuinely terrified. To others, Baiheng City was simply destroyed. But it made Mo Kai think of the figure’s back in the Peak Secret Realm. One of his prophecies back then was that a large city of the Yangxiang Race would be destroyed. Baiheng City... of course, it counted as a large city, perhaps even a mega-city.

Immediately after came Cang Ji’s death. A genuine Yangxiang Race Peak expert, slaughtered alive by a group of human Ninth Grades. It was absolutely unbelievable.

Cang Ji’s death made the mysterious Peak expert’s prophecy even clearer. In the near future, a Peak expert would die, and a city would be destroyed. Let alone Baiheng City, even if it were Jing Niao City that was destroyed, Mo Kai wouldn’t dare doubt the prophecy anymore. It was just too bizarre.

Mo Kai rationalized that perhaps in the eyes of that mysterious Peak expert, Jing Niao City didn’t even count as a real city, which was why he had prophesied Baiheng City’s fall instead. This was truly terrifying.

As the Divine Land forces cleaned up the battlefield, Mo Kai also saw the people he thoroughly despised: Su Qingfeng and Yao Chenqing. That old bastard Liu Yizhou didn’t come this time.

”What should I do?!” Mo Kai muttered to himself.

Because the Divine Land took over the Jing Niao City battlefield, the image on the Source Image Stone gradually faded away.

After tossing the Source Image Stone aside, Mo Kai sat blankly in the tree, momentarily falling into self-doubt. The prophecy was utter nonsense, but it was also devilishly accurate, as every single part of it had actually come true. If he were to follow the mandate of heaven, did he really have to go and serve Su Qingfeng?

He was unwilling! How could he possibly be willing? A prophecy was just a prophecy, but Mo Kai still cared about his pride and dignity. In all the years he had lived, he had never been so conflicted.

Right at this moment, the ground beneath Mo Kai’s feet shattered, and his Qi Ring emerged involuntarily.

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

The heavens shook and the earth trembled as layer after layer of the ground collapsed with Mo Kai at the center.

”The Peak serendipity!” Mo Kai’s pupils suddenly contracted. That’s right. The third prophecy had also inexplicably come true. When a Peak expert died and a city was breached, the second portion of the Peak serendipity would descend.

Mo Kai basked in the nourishment of the Peak serendipity. At the same time, he became even more conflicted internally. What exactly did this prophecy represent? And what role did Su Qingfeng play in all of this? There were so many Earth Martial Artists out there, so why did he have to go serve this bastard? Why?

The tremors lasted for less than a minute. Afterward, Mo Kai retracted his Qi Ring. The land within a hundred-mile radius was left in total devastation; even the distant mountain ranges had collapsed, and vast swaths of the jungle had been flattened. Although the demonic beasts were displeased, they didn’t dare provoke Mo Kai because of the Peak aura emanating from him.

Indeed, it was another one-tenth of the serendipity—not a bit more, not a bit less.

”Su Qingfeng, could it be that you are the future Human Emperor?” Mo Kai analyzed with furrowed brows. He had noticed another detail on the Jing Niao City battlefield. When Su Qingfeng was distributing pills to the others, they looked somewhat familiar. Others might not have paid attention, but Mo Kai could recognize them. The several Ninth Grade pills he handed out were most likely his own.

Although he couldn’t be one hundred percent certain, Mo Kai firmly believed his own judgment. Su Qingfeng was a human Martial Artist. It was impossible for him to get his hands on so many Yangxiang Race Ninth Grade pills; even Mo Kai himself had only obtained them by extorting Cang Ji. Why would those pills be in Su Qingfeng’s possession? Could it be... it was the doing of that mysterious Peak expert?

Mo Kai took out a large bluestone from his Void Space. The reason he had lost his pills in the first place was because this large bluestone had forcefully occupied a slot in his Void Space, causing the pills to vanish into thin air.

”Su Qingfeng, just what kind of serendipity are you carrying?!” Mo Kai gritted his teeth. With all this evidence laid out before him, Mo Kai had no choice but to believe that Su Qingfeng had definitely received that Peak expert’s inheritance. And the destiny that the Peak expert spoke of was probably eighty percent true as well.

One prophecy coming true could be a coincidence. But for all three to come true, that was far from normal. He wondered if the thousand-year tribulation was actually real.

At this moment, Mo Kai plunged into a state of frantic self-doubt and self-denial, practically on the verge of developing a split personality. Anyone with a normal IQ wouldn’t believe such foolish words, but the conclusive evidence made it so that he had no choice but to believe. Furthermore, the mysterious Peak expert had said that if he didn’t submit to Su Qingfeng, he would have no part in the remaining Peak serendipity.

Mo Kai was unwilling to accept this. He was a rogue Martial Artist, not a direct descendant of the Holy Land. This was his only chance to turn his life around.

RUMBLE!

In the distance, the Blood Boiling Race’s Ninth Grade, Fei Tianhong, had just hurriedly rushed back. Before he could even return to Boiling Blood City, he suddenly sensed a terrifying Peak aura. Fei Tianhong was badly frightened. He hastily rushed over, wanting to see what kind of divine being this was.

The aura seemed to originate from the Yangxiang Race. Cang Ji had just died, so could another Ninth Grade from the Yangxiang Race have broken through? It was simply unbelievable.

”Huh... it’s Cang Ji!”

Just as he flew over, Fei Tianhong was scared out of his wits. Lying in the center of the deep crater was a blood-soaked member of the Yangxiang Race. His appearance was exactly that of Cang Ji.

SWISH!

Without overthinking it, Fei Tianhong immediately descended. He didn’t carefully probe Cang Ji’s aura. Because the Peak aura from just a moment ago was far too obvious, he didn’t hold a shred of suspicion.

”Cang Ji, weren’t you killed? Why are you here?” Fei Tianhong hastily asked.

”There’s no time to explain, hurry up and transfer some Qi Blood to me!” Mo Kai, who had instantly disguised himself as Cang Ji, spoke breathlessly. His voice was like a broken gong, sounding completely distorted.

”What exactly happened?” Fei Tianhong warily glanced at the sky. Fortunately, there were no human Ninth Grades pursuing him. He had never imagined that Cang Ji would actually still be alive. It was simply unbelievable. As expected, the methods of a Peak expert were truly on another level.

”First, transfer some Qi Blood. I can’t hold on much longer. I’ll explain later, and there will definitely be benefits for you!” Mo Kai gasped weakly.

In his heart, he cursed anxiously, ”Rumor has it that this Fei Tianhong has the best relationship with Cang Ji. Now that Cang Ji is in trouble, shouldn’t you hurry up and save him?”

”I fought with the human Ninth Grades for too long, so my Qi Blood is also on the verge of drying up, but I managed to recover a little bit just now.

”I’ll transfer it to you right away. It’s great that you’re not dead.

”Once your injuries heal, we’ll go settle the score with the Divine Land!”

Fei Tianhong didn’t harbor many suspicions. Cang Ji was indeed his good friend. Moreover, providing timely help right now meant that, given Cang Ji’s personality, he would definitely compensate him in the future. Perhaps Cang Ji would even gift him a Peak serendipity.

Whether out of genuine friendship or driven by greed, Fei Tianhong completely dropped his guard and began transferring his Qi Blood to Mo Kai. Of course, this was also thanks to Mo Kai’s superb acting skills and his flawless disguise. After all, acting had always been Mo Kai’s forte.

Ten minutes later.

”Cang Ji, do you feel any better? I’m sorry, I only have this much Qi Blood left in my body. I’m completely drained now!” Fei Tianhong stood up. His face was paler than a sheet of hemp paper. To save Cang Ji, Fei Tianhong had truly gone all out.

”Yeah, I’m much better...” Mo Kai nodded. At the same time, he fused the Qi Blood that Fei Tianhong had transferred into his body with an extremely destructive stream of Peak aura.

BOOM!

With a muffled sound, Mo Kai shockingly returned all the Qi Blood intact back to Fei Tianhong. Since it was originally Fei Tianhong’s own Qi Blood, it faced zero resistance on its way back, instantly flowing through his internal organs.

PFFT!

Fei Tianhong spurted out a mouthful of fresh blood. He simply couldn’t withstand the Qi Blood infused with a Peak aura.

”Cang Ji... you...” Fei Tianhong’s internal organs were pulverized, and he was instantly heavily injured.

”Sorry, I’m not Cang Ji!” Mo Kai turned his head, looking at Fei Tianhong with a fake smile.
