Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 522: Chapter 200: Legacy, Conviction, Peace, and Perseverance

The grand battle of the hundred schools has ended.

At this time, ordinary universities in the city are also starting to go on vacation. The stations are crowded and bustling with activity.

Perhaps the era of Earth’s counterattack has truly arrived, as the Divine Land’s official stance on some alien matters has shifted from a strict ban to symbolically allowing public acceptance.

The most direct manifestation is the gradual appearance of some videos involving aliens on ordinary internet video platforms.

These videos haven’t been banned; rather, they’ve been featured on the homepage for quite some time.

Of course, these are foreign videos and aren’t too graphic, looking similar to special effects in movies, and even much more blurred.

But more and more ordinary people have solid evidence that indeed, there’s unknown danger on this Earth.

In the past, people regarded aliens as legends.

Legends passed from the older generation to the younger, rumors among friends, and stories from some retired soldiers.

But these all lacked concrete evidence.

Just like the mythical Sun Wukong.

Some people firmly believed the Celestial Palace exists, as well as the Underworld and Yama, but lacked solid evidence.

Similarly, some believed in the existence of aliens, but with global media bans, there was no proof.

Now, it seems countries have reached some agreement, as relatively safe videos, which won’t cause instant panic, are gradually being shown to the public.

Subtly accepting things is also a way.

The general public has finally realized that the various corps of the Divine Land Military Department are truly fighting in dangerous places and it’s quite brutal.

But overall, it hasn’t caused much panic for now.

Of course, there are some small-scale troublemakers, but they’ve been quickly suppressed by the authorities.

In this era without hot weapons, ordinary people’s lethality is very limited.

Although it’s winter, Dongdu City isn’t as cold as Beidu City. A hoodie is enough for winter.

The food street remains bustling.

Some want to have hotpot, others are grilling barbeque, and some working students appear in various restaurants to earn some extra money at night.

Everyone is busy.

”Look, I have a top-secret video from abroad, showing precious footage of aliens invading Earth.”

A table of diners is sharing videos on their phones.

Not far away, an elderly man is lying in a rocking chair, staring blankly at the street lamp.

The restaurant owner is his son-in-law. The old man likes the hustle and bustle, and this rocking chair has become his exclusive seat.

”Looks like information is finally getting unblocked.

”News about aliens was completely sealed off from the public for over 200 years, nearly three generations.

”Perhaps the prediction circulating in the military for a long time, the Earth counterattack era that all Martial Artists aspire to, is really about to arrive.

”The era of peace for humanity might be truly near.”

The old man’s teeth have all fallen out, and he couldn’t be bothered to use dentures.

Every time he recalls his years on the battlefield, his eyes can’t help but well up.

Just a month ago, he bid farewell to his last retired comrade.

In the original battle camp, he is the sole survivor.

Some died on the battlefield, some after retiring, and others in hospitals.

Reflecting on those wars, calling them brutal wouldn’t suffice; it was pure despair.

At the entrance of the Earth’s Wet Ghost Tower, commanders of various battle camps typically didn’t survive more than two months. Once a commander was sacrificed, only high-ranking aliens remained, and at that time, lives were the only thing to be offered.

Hundreds of low-grade Martial Artists were exchanged for one high-grade alien powerhouse.

Generations of sacrifices finally kept the aliens outside the Wet Ghost Tower.

And now, a new generation of Martial Artists is rapidly emerging.

Recalling yesterday’s hundred-school battle, the old man can’t sit still in excitement.

He has already burned paper money for his comrades overnight, fearing that it might be of no use, he wishes to die quickly, to reach the blissful realm to tell his comrades about the Earth’s situation.

Now at Wuda, eighteen-year-old Third-Grade Martial Artists have emerged.

Actually, there are more than one; five have appeared this year alone.

An eighteen-year-old Second-Grade is no longer a rare person.

And in the senior year at Wuda, two Fifth-Grade Powerhouses emerged.

Fifth-Grade, ah.

If there were so many Fifth-Grades before, not so many would have needed to die.

This is truly a good era.

An indescribably good era.

”Grandpa, look at my new clothes.”

At this moment, a middle school student excitedly ran to the old man’s side.

He wore a brand new hoodie.

Seeing the old man, the boy turned around.

...

[My name is Li Xiaogang, I’m 14 years old]

[I’m from a poor family, I’m handsomer than you]

[Sorry, but I still defeated you]

...

On the back of the hoodie, three lines of text were spray-painted prominently.

”Grandpa, is it cool or what?

”This is the latest fashion brand from the Divine Land, limited to one per person, with personalized spray-painted names, leading the trend.”

The middle school student proudly pointed at the text with his thumb.

”I’ll beat you, you ungrateful brat.

”Your parents work day and night to support you; where do you get this crap about a poor family?

”You little rascal, following trends with no ambition, not understanding hard work, I’ll beat you.”

Seeing the trendy hoodie, the old man was almost infuriated to death.

Looking at this long street, our business is the best, and you dare say you’re from a poor family?
