Bear School Astartes

Terror Tyrannosaurus, from the world where the New Continent is located.

This left Lann unsure whether to be in a good mood or a bad mood.

The good side is that among the countless Otherworldly realms, the terrifying creatures brought by the convergence of celestial spheres are something he is familiar with.

Although during his adventures in the New Continent, he never encountered such a creature directly, he learned about it from the Dragon-man Scholar, the head of the ecological research class in the New Continent Expedition Team.

However, the bad side is... this thing is too strong!

Even in the New Continent, where monsters generally have astonishing vitality and formidable physical and strength, the terror of this monster belongs to the type that you best not joke about!

Terror Tyrannosaurus is classified biologically within the Beast Dragon Species.

Their characteristics are similar to the Tyrannosaurus Rex of Lann’s homeland’s ancient times, powerful bodies with two front claws that degenerated into short, weak forms.

Whereas the Terror Tyrannosaurus stands at the pinnacle of this dragon species’ ecological niche!

The earth and stone scattered by the shaking fell silently, and on the gigantic body, those small dull yellow eyes exuded the unique ruthlessness and cold-bloodedness of reptilian creatures.

These eyes would be laughable on other creatures, but on the Terror Tyrannosaurus... everything about this creature only brings despair and fear!

In the thick fog, the Terror Tyrannosaurus simply placed its iconic head within Lann’s visibility range.

Its entire body was covered with massive muscles that seemed eager to burst out of its skin!

The visual impact was comparable to the muscle-bound, Earth-Swallowing Giant Worms that drilled through hills and emerged before the Lonely Mountain of Ardan World!

The dark green fragmented scales carried an eerie viscous slickness.

And the most iconic feature is its mouth.

The enormous mouth, with corners extending all the way to the neck! Inside the bright red oral cavity, muscles sliced through the dark green scales.

It’s hard to imagine how large the mouth would be when opened to its limit!

Throughout its life, its chaotic teeth that grew uncontrollably, even breaking through the oral cavity to the outer skin of the upper and lower jaws, greatly increased the head weight of the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

Though this dragon merely exposed its head from the fog in front of Lann, Lann knew.

To balance the head weight and the terrifying muscle mass, its tail, at the thickest part, was almost as sturdy as its waist!

Teeth easily wore down, so they grew madly, head weight and muscle too heavy so the tail was magnified, the body’s weight too large so muscles kept growing until they held up...

This violent, grotesque evolutionary tendency, like adding water to dough or dough being too watery, was blended to form the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

Violent, chaotic, reckless, for one goal only.

For that goal, Terror Tyrannosaurus ancestors and their present form have absolutely no qualms of molding their bodies into their current form.

—For food!

Since records began, no one has ever seen them reach a ’satisfied’ state!

If you forcefully classify the state of a Terror Tyrannosaurus, there’s only one—starving insane!

Every Terror Tyrannosaurus, every minute, they are all in a starving insane state.

When creatures are hungry, they want to eat, so aside from themselves, all meat to a Terror Tyrannosaurus is food.

This unreasonable aggressiveness, along with their body evolution to ensure feeding, keeps these dragons’ mission difficulty on the New Continent Hunter task boards never below eight stars!

Under certain special circumstances, Terror Tyrannosaurus can easily reach the task rank equivalent to the apex of the food chain, like a disaster-level Ancient Dragon, which is nine stars!

Ancient Dragons are referred to as [Disasters] by people in the New Continent world, and just living normally in an area can cause drastic impacts on the local environment.

And Terror Tyrannosaurus, to some extent, is no different from [Disasters].

It is ’a disaster against the biological chain’!

Also known by hunters as [Ecological Chain Landslide].

This monster, due to its boundless appetite that borders on madness, and its body evolved for the purpose of feeding, boasts tremendous power and mass.

Without equal impediment, it can easily consume all living things in an area within a short time!

Causing regional biological extinction!

The situation in the Mahakan Mountains lately, if related to the Terror Tyrannosaurus... Lann almost felt unsurprised.

But then again, can this Terror Tyrannosaurus... truly be measured against the traditional standards in the New Continent Investigation Team’s routine textbooks?

”Sir, based on the known Terror Tyrannosaurus skeleton, and observing the head of this Terror Tyrannosaurus before us, I have completed a proportional drawing, now projecting onto the retina.”

A voice, elegant and organized amid tension, sounded in his mind.

In the corner of Lann’s vision, a side view of the Terror Tyrannosaurus was labeled with data, projected by the biochemical artificial intelligence.

The overall shape was not much different from ordinary Terror Tyrannosaurus, however, the labeled body length in the side view...

”Forty meters long!”

Lann squinted his eyes, his hanging hand loosening and tightening, activating his muscles and nerves.

”Just based on this extraordinary size, it can be considered a ’special individual’ among the Terror Tyrannosaurs.”

Forty meters long, this figure might leave one with no impression just from saying it.

But if you compare it: a normal human around 1.7 meters tall standing beside the hind claw of this Terror Tyrannosaurus. The thickness of the reptilian claw touching the ground is only about a head and shoulders taller than a human.

A human’s head can’t even reach the Achilles tendon!

”Also, without a doubt, sir...” Mentos’ voice remained calm but tinged with a reminder, ”The most noteworthy thing about this Terror Tyrannosaurus isn’t its size, far from it.”

Its menacing large mouth that reached out from the thick fog to gnaw down retreated.

The stones and soil falling from the disordered teeth of that large mouth were dropping down, the monster’s appetite could never be satisfied, with thick drool flowing from its mouth corners.

The transparent sticky liquid dripped onto the ground, causing soil and stones to quickly bubble and emit white smoke, clearly possessing corrosive properties like a strong acid.

Yet, all these processes were silent due to the dense fog.

The colossal monster’s yellowish eyes looked at the Demon Hunter, taking steps back.

In just two steps, it became a shadow in the dense fog again, and soon even the shadow was no longer visible.

Lann cautiously walked toward the spot where the Terror Tyrannosaurus attacked him earlier.

Without looking back, he grabbed a Fog Demon’s claw and then kicked high.

The ”Immortal Pinnacle Kick” enveloped in a high-density air stream burst the head of the Fog Demon.

Lann didn’t look back at the dissipating Fog Demon, instead scanning the ground within a five-meter visibility range.

As if searching for something.

The entire process took less than ten seconds, and Lann already showed a knowing expression.

”As expected.” The Demon Hunter guarded around with doubled vigilance and attention, ”A forty-meter-long Terror Tyrannosaurus that leaves no footprints on the ground! Yet that mouth’s bite earlier caused substantial physical impact!”

”... Does this creature now have magic power?!”

Aside from supernatural power, Lann really couldn’t think of any other way physical impacts could be selectively displayed.

Terror Tyrannosaurs born on the New Continent and now appearing in the Magic Middle Ages.

Unless it somehow went to an unknown other world during the celestial convergence—a low-probability event—this creature, although its entire ecology is bizarre and brutal, is still a naturally born being.

The most likely supernatural power it could have encountered is Chaos Magic Power.

No wonder, with this size, this weight, not leaving any trace on the ground it walked over!

Although it’s still unclear how exactly this Terror Tyrannosaurus accomplished this, since it already possesses Chaos Magic Power, anything is possible now.

For now, the most pressing issue isn’t chasing how this Terror Tyrannosaurus attained these abilities.

The real urgency now is...

”!!!”

Silently, just above where Lann stood in this milky white thick fog.

A massive, robust shadow is descending rapidly from the sky, expanding swiftly!

Ordinarily, creatures with massive size and mass would avoid abrupt and intense movements because that would put undue stress on their muscles and skeletal joints, exceeding their limits.

Causing their own fractures wouldn’t be unusual.

But the Terror Tyrannosaurus is different.

In its great size and weight, it has already become frenzied and uncontrollable due to its insatiable appetite.

To eat quickly, to kill prey as soon as possible... it would do anything! Dare anything!

Its hind legs, unlike its front claws, did not atrophy, every muscle stretching and intertwining! Finally, stomping the ground! This forty-meter-long body of solid, engorged muscles actually leaped into the air!

This leap, fully leveraging the flying brick properties. No cares about its body weight, built up entirely with unbelievably strong muscles!

The distance of the leap even completely surpassed the length of this Terror Tyrannosaurus itself! Jumping to a height of at least twenty meters, with a trajectory extending fifty meters, at least!

And the end of the arc, is Lann!

The thick texture of the dense fog is sticky, which causes, when objects make intense movements, the thick fog to reveal the motion’s trajectory. But it inevitably causes a delay.

The wave diffusion caused by stirring glue versus clear water should certainly vary in speed.

By the time the Terror Tyrannosaurus crossed at least fifty meters, crashing down silently, Lann only sensed the change in the fog’s flow at the last moment!

The vertical pupils in the Demon Hunter’s eyes contracted sharply!

Then, in a fraction of a second, his figure turned into a wisp of green smoke.
