Bear School Astartes

”Three days.”

Lann let go of the hand covering the side of his neck and wiped it with a damp cloth. After the remaining bloodstains disappeared, there was no trace of any injury left.

”That’s quite fast.”

”You need to eat more and rest during this period,” the biochemical brain advised. ”The nutrients in your blood are also in a state that needs replenishing, sir.”

”Yeah, it’s really troublesome.” Lann touched his head, which felt a bit hypoglycemic.

Ever since he started panting just now, he also felt his digestive system working at high speed.

His blood was craving more nutrients to fill itself up.

This feeling was like when he first implanted the [Bone Enhancement Organ], he could ’see’ his bones hungry for nourishment.

-----------------

The Silver Swan Tavern is the most upscale and luxurious tavern in Gos Velen City.

When Lann first arrived in this city, he heard evaluations about this tavern.

At that time, the young Demon Hunter, a bit tight on money, came here to taste something new and gather information. He once ordered a very cheap set meal and sat in the hall, burying his head in the food like a henchman.

Back then, the tavern’s best side would not be shown to him.

Just like Lann did not know at the time that the tavern’s basement had a private thermal spring bath.

There were several large pools of different temperatures, a sauna room, and you could call up to the staff above to have them bring you a chilled glass of wine.

But as the years went by, everything changed.

Margaret spent a sum of money that would make an ordinary person gasp in amazement to rent out the thermal spring.

Tishaya also came along, with two successive heads of Airetusa Academy visiting together, the owner of the Silver Swan Tavern was flattered and quickly offered the best service, organizing everything methodically.

’Splash,’ the water splashed, and Margaret emerged from the pool.

She was completely naked; the hot water from the spring stimulated her capillaries, giving her already smooth skin a subtle alluring blush.

After emerging from the pool, she picked up a bucket of cool water and poured it over her chest.

The temperature contrast stimulated her to let out a soft moan, as the water streamed down her alluring, exaggerated curves.

Even the stone-carved nymph and Goddess statues would pale in comparison to this body.

Unfortunately, the only spectator present was already unphased by such a scene.

Unlike the completely naked Margaret, Tishaya wrapped herself in a towel, sitting in the hot spring with a table placed in front of her in the water.

She was meticulously arranging the angles of the glasses and bottles on the table.

As if the items on the table were more mysterious than her student’s figure.

Margaret pouted uninterestedly and sat next to Tishaya.

”You look good, and your figure is well maintained.”

Only when her student finally stopped messing around did Tishaya scrutinize her and evaluate.

”Or rather, it’s better than before... Is this what you want to hear?”

Upon hearing this, Margaret confidently placed her hands back on the edge of the hot spring, leaning against the edge, her chest out and head held high.

”I haven’t ’maintained’ anything, it’s nourishment, Tishaya.”

When women talk about bold topics, the explicitness is always beyond imagination.

Margaret started the conversation, and naturally, the two began discussing.

About how she staggered back to her bedroom in the morning, and how she only woke up in the afternoon...

Tishaya, though being Margaret’s teacher, now interacted with her more like friends and confidants.

And among confidants, when discussing sexual life, the one having a better time cannot help but brag.

”He’s like a beast, you know?”

Margaret spoke with exaggerated expression, and her hands tightly clenched in front of her, signaling how much effort she put in.

”Wild, relentless...”

Tishaya raised her eyebrows as she watched her perform.

”Knock~ knock~”

Just as Margaret was showing off to Tishaya, there was a soft knocking sound coming from the stairwell of the basement hot spring.

”Um, I’m not intending to interrupt your review.”

Lann came down holding a bottle of wine with condensation on the glass, with a normal expression.

”But I must say, Belengar has arrived. If you’re going to treat someone to a meal, it’s not good to be late, right?”

In the face of the Female Warlock, who not only had physiological needs like a hungry wolf but also an open verbal and conceptual extent, Lann was already accustomed.

To be honest, with his hearing, he could overhear the apprentices telling a dozen jokes about him if he walked through any corridor in Airetusa.

Margaret turned around without reserve, placing her heavy chest on the edge of the hot spring, flattening it into a pancake shape, and gave Lann a teasing smile.

”We’ll be ready soon, darling.”

”Yes, soon.” Tishaya, with only a towel on, reached out to take the wine bottle Lann handed over, while also advising him, ”go chat with him first, we can discuss the production issues over dinner.”

The young demon hunter shrugged helplessly, ”Do I look like someone who still needs you to teach me step by step, Tishaya?”

”She habitually treats everyone like a child.” Margaret laughed heartily as she emerged from the water, her bare body boldly exposed. ”Luckily I’ve already graduated.”

Lann shook his head and turned to walk upstairs.

The bathroom was hot and humid, not wearing armor, he still disliked such an environment.

Upstairs in the Silver Swan Tavern, Belengar was already seated at their reserved spot.

The hall of the Silver Swan Tavern was the place where Lann first came and quickly finished a meal at a spliced long table.

But there were also single tables, placed higher up but not quite on the second-floor platform.

You can sense the tavern’s lively atmosphere, while still maintaining some privacy due to the distance.

Belengar was already seated, unchanged, with a shirt inside, a leather jacket outside, wearing convenient pants and boots.

The tightly fitted muscles of his shirt were intimidating enough for most people.

It’s said he has already picked a manor around Gos Velen and bought it without much haggling. But when it comes to dressing, he still doesn’t seem to care much.

”You don’t even carry a sword with you these days.”

Climbing two more steps, Lann said as he approached the seat and took the long blade from his waist to lean against the table, sitting down.

”Don’t make fun of me.” Belengar shrugged indifferently, holding a beer while waiting for food. ”It’s been a long time since I’ve had a face-off with anyone.”

”Although I still have a demon hunter’s physique, I estimate I can only handle two soldiers now? Three soldiers without crossbows, I’d barely manage to escape.”

”In the city, a short sword is enough. The longsword is virtually useless.”

As he spoke, Belengar tapped his left side beneath the table, making the sound of a blade wobbling in its sheath.

Looks like he still brought a ’little something.’

Lann didn’t hide himself. For one, returning to Airetusa wasn’t something to keep secret, nor could it be hidden.

Secondly, the high-end nature of the Silver Swan Tavern meant there weren’t too many people, so his appearance wouldn’t cause a big stir.

Indeed, most of those in the tavern were established businessmen, many were suppliers to Airetusa Academy, making big money from mages.

Or the senior staff from Giancardi Bank or high-ranking city government officials.

Although these people appeared surprised yet honored when Lann showed up, they were nonetheless respectable.

They’d at most come up for a quiet chat, or stand afar to raise a glass, without disrupting the peaceful atmosphere within the lively venue.

Tishaya and Margaret soon emerged from the underground hot springs.

Their hair was damp, slightly dripping water.

Yet such a seemingly disheveled posture, on them, with their enchanting beauty, only made them more captivating.

But anyone able to dine at the Silver Swan in Gos Velen City knows exactly what kind of figures female warlocks are.

Being able to interact with these strong and beautiful women when they choose to is certainly an extraordinary enjoyment.

Yet when they don’t wish to, just another peek might bring bad luck.

So everyone’s eyes were very disciplined.

Dining and discussing matters is proven to be an effective social strategy everywhere.

Possibly because eating relaxes, making conversations easier.

Overall, using Lann as a link, Belengar and the female warlocks got along quite well.

Unfortunately, Lann’s relationship with Lambert could only be described as okay. If Geralt or Vesemir were here, they could join the dining.

In conclusion, at this social-based dinner, they all seemed relaxed and at ease.

The conversation shifted from Belengar’s former demon hunting career to ’how strong Lann could still become.’

Then it moved to after Henry Gemitis’s heart condition was healed, Ban Aide Academy started tightening the quality of graduates, clearing out quite a few slacker male warlocks.

But shortly thereafter, these unqualified male warlock apprentices were quickly absorbed by intelligence systems or other places of various countries.

People who can wield magic are high-quality talents anywhere.

During this, Lann never stopped eating.

But he wasn’t talking, instead always eating and drinking. The social dinner was turned into an actual dinner.

He didn’t even touch the alcohol, specifically asking the waiter for milk and juice instead.

If it were someone else, this act might even surprise and irritate others at the table, feeling slighted.

But on Lann, although he kept eating, the manners and aura remained calm and soothing.

It did not bring any discomfort; on the contrary, the other three at the table ended up eating more, feeling good appetites today with great chef skill displayed.

Margaret, sitting next to him, found it amusing, tilting her head to watch him, while also adding lots of food to the table.

But after making a round of conversation, the topic inevitably slid towards a heavy direction.

——The increasingly tense social atmosphere today.

Aimed at non-human races.

And Lann paused his eating for a moment at this point.
