Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Capítulo 564: The Fractured Palace

An elegant woman with several purple tendrils floating above her shoulders sat calmly on an elegantly jewelled throne. Her hands lay in her lap as she gripped the fabric of her silken dress tightly while covertly peeking at the expressions around her.

It wasn’t until the loud voices surrounding them faded that the kneeling man in the centre of the large room spoke. His posture was sharp, lest for the slight tremble in his shoulders each time the woman’s eyes met his.

“Lord Vladik, Lady Verna. I come with news of Princess Zara.”

Beside her sat the male who took centre stage of this throne room. His name was Valek, and he is the husband of Verna, the purple Djinn. The only daughter of the prestigious Balthazar clan.

Unlike the royal clan, which protected the Djinn from outside threats, using soul arts and barrier spells. Balthazar dealt with poisons, assassinations and the dark side of the Djinn race.

Lord Vladik leaned on his pink tendril, his face similar to a certain princess.

At least their genes couldn’t be denied, a sharp jawline and a high-bridged nose. Vladik’s aura appeared exhausted, with dark bags under his eyes; he just waved towards the kneeling guard.

“Speak, Levin.”

“Master…” The guard swallowed with a loud gulp, his eyes shifting to the ground instantly after facing the pale glare of his mistress. “Princess Zara has been spotted!”

“Oh? Lady Verna’s body quivered, and her lips twitched, but upon noticing a gaze from the audience, her lips changed, and she immediately smiled. “It’s good news that we’ve found my dear sister-in-law.”

Lord Vladik just glanced at her.

Her spine froze.

The sharp and testing gaze from her husband was enough to become a subtle and final warning.

‘This bitch… couldn’t she just die!’

The dark emotions of Lady Verna churned inside; the light colour of her aura shifted into a brighter colour. A warning to any predators of how poisonous she might be. With the shift of her legs, a sweet, almost dizzying scent filled the room.

“Tsk.” She clicked her lips upon realising her husband’s lack of interest.

‘Just you wait, bastard… soon you won’t be so arrogant.’

Lord Vladik’s eyes shone the instant he heard of his sister’s well-being, but his face remained expressionless, a strange but curious contrast. “How is she?”

“Lord!” The nervous guard almost pressed his forehead to the ground. Could an uneducated guard understand the subtleties of the royal court? And that for every ally, there might be seven enemies buried deeper than a corpse. “She has been seen in ‘That’ realm… and rumours of her engaging in…” He hesitated, sweat pooling inside his desert robes, fear and anxiety for his report would never be a good one.

“Go on, Levin.” Lord Vladik urged with a smile.

Low gasps filled the room, whispers… for the news, a mere guard could never be the only soul carrying this information.

Once again, Levin’s faith and devotion to this clan weren’t false. With a slam, he pounded his chest and recited the guards ‘ honour. “My Lord and Master! This warrior swears on the desert sun, to only speak the truth or so his soul be destroyed.”

This time, Lord Vladik’s face changed, a tiny shift… but the corners of his lips lifted.

If not for her previous failure, would Lady Verna have glanced at her partner, and scapegoat… to see this switch?

Alas, her focus remained on the guard who just roared in the royal court.

With a nod, Levin’s face beamed with joy. “My Lord! The Princess has been rumoured to have fornicated with the western, hairy beasts. Even now she remains in that realm within his domain for the past month without any sign’s of leaving!”

That realm.

All the noble and wealthy Djinn who observed from the dark shuddered at the thought of their kind being in such a place. In the one world where they suffered a significant defeat, back when their god sought to surpass the others…

A single black wolf stopped their glorious empire.

Crack!

Lord Vladik’s hands sank into the expensive marble throne, his tendrils like a berserk beast tearing into the backrest.

“What?” He gasped, surprised by the bizarre and utterly insane words. “Zara… my dear sister, she is in the Human realm…?”

‘Oh my, this is the perfect opportunity!’

Lady Verna’s heart almost burst with glee. There was something she held deep; her family and countless members of their council and court all received support from a single clan. Hearing such words brought her turbulent emotions.

With a single fan, she covered her lips, twisted into a depraved grin.

“Which clan…”

The Lord’s voice trembled, his pink hue losing colour with each moment that passed. His eyes burned in fury… something about the guard’s words destroyed his previous arrogant nature.

A cold crept through the royal halls…

How could a mere guard resist the sharp, heavy aura crushing him from either side? Those who support the current Lord, those who support the princess and those who support the Lady, those who aimed for something else.

“Volkov, the clan of the black demon.”

BOOM!

Before the guard could sigh in relief, a pink aura obliterated his body into flesh mist and bone meal…

“Volkov, Volkov…. VOLKOV! That cursed family, always… why…. Urk!?”

Lord Valik vomited blood after screaming in the chambers, his explosive yet unstable aura shattering the ground and the marble flooring. Giant spider-webbed cracks reached from the elevated throne to the entrance… some nobles fell to the ground with the collapse of their seats, and yet no one spoke out… only a bitter silence remained.

The clues to Princess Zara vanished… a once unimpressive yet vital female Djinn in a male line void of women.

‘Yes~ He fell for it, Kukukukuku, no man can resist this Verna’s maddening kiss!’

Once his outburst ended, his eyes refocused, and a sudden hiss of flames puffed from his chest before he collapsed like a rag doll.

“My Lord! You must remain calm!”

“Think of your body, we must get you some rest, my dear.” Lady Verna reacted fast to her husband’s collapse… she hid away the arrogant and false smirk, no longer sneering, she cried crocodile tears and gave soft, affectionate whimpers.

Several hours later, the chaos of the royal chambers spread.

Despite a gag order…

In a beautiful room filled with silk veils, cloths and a red curtain surrounding a massive bed, almost the size of three queen-sized beds pushed together. There, a beautiful purple Djinn lay against a soft cushion, her tendrils held gently by multiple maids.

“My Lady… your skin is so smooth.”

“How much lotion do you wish for tonight, Lady?”

With faces covered in black veils, but the colour of each woman was dark purple, much like their master.

‘These girls are so efficient.’

“Have you managed to smooth it over with my father?” Lady Verna rolled onto the side, using her hand to caress the leading Djinn’s cheek, ever so softly squishing her lips with each finger. “Please tell me, Dula.”

Dula, the leading maid and the only one with her face revealed, has a sharp gaze, small eyes and blades hidden all over her body. “The Great Master has accepted your plans. Since the princess chose that disgusting house… He will lend you the Carnal Corps.”

A jolt of pleasure shot through the woman’s body, her spine twisted as she curled and bent herself while letting out coquettish and sultry sounds.

“Good, you girls have done so well… who needs men, with wonderful women like you?” Her cheeks red, as she sipped from the goblet of wine beside her bed, “Now… undress.”

The maids stopped their massages and immediately removed their black dancing robes without a complaint.

Some lacked tendrils, half torn or likely cut with a blade, the others… their stomachs, chests and backs filled with deep scars and markings from clear torture.

These women were the seven dark blades of Verna.

Her secret force.

And beloved harem.

“Oh my… that’s good Dala…”

“Mistress…”

“Dula, open your mouth.”

In the corner of the royal palace, once again, the current queen enjoyed her night of delight with the wounded souls of fallen clans. To them, there was only Lady Verna. None of the males or other members mattered… when they suffered, it was only she who accepted them, despite their wounds and defects.

Meanwhile, back in S-City, Nikolai sat at his office desk, reading, writing and observing the documents prepared for his two-day leave. Each time he dated one of his women, there would be dozens, almost hundreds of things to sign.

‘This is quite fun…’

Despite this, his hands moved swiftly, and memories of his past surfaced. When struggling to make ends meet, at first, when meeting Sarah, he said he lacked the desire to perform business. Yet now, as he looked at the documents forming a neat pile… this simple action brought him happiness.

‘Tomorrow who will I be dating?’

He smiled with a curious yet satisfied grin.

The girls decided that since he chose the members, they would choose the days, and so tomorrow would be a surprise for him. This subtle feeling of losing control brought a strange excitement to Nikolai.

“Well… I should.”

Clack!

When he picked up another document, the door opened suddenly, revealing a familiar set of tendrils and elegant beauty.

“Patriarch Volkov, may I speak with you?”

Nikolai glanced at the clock, then back to Princess Zara. ‘It’s just before midnight… I wonder what this beauty has to tell me now.’

“Come inside, let us enjoy a drink while we talk.”

Zara’s confusion came as quickly as it had before she nodded, her lips, expression and movements all calculated to hide her purpose.

“Understood, Nikolai.”
