Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Nikolai couldn’t accept it.

That girl… Clara?

She looked no older than ten, the last time I saw her. How was this possible?

No human changes like this… unless—unless she was never just human to begin with.

”That’s right, my sister is the last of her kind; she’s a rare breed of fairy.”

Faires, a rare and almost make-believe experience, even monsters believed them to be a cute race only in tales, hence the name.

However, Ryan sat with a calm face and told Nikolai a cold, harsh truth.

”The blood of fairies is what allows the SSS to fight against monsters, the purest of blood coming from the royal clan, which is where my mother came from. Unlike Clara, my mother didn’t awaken her bloodline and only carried dormant genes, so she was forced to marry my father, a high-ranking member of the SSS.”

Ryan also added that all fairies were female.

”So then why did your sister look so young? Is she still your little sister?”

There were countless questions in Nikolai’s mind itching at his scalp, trying to surface, but he wanted Ryan to get everything out first.

”Listen, Nikolai, Fairies don’t age like humans. Until they awaken, their bodies stay sealed in their childhood form. It’s a protective state like a cocoon, so their true self doesn’t manifest until their soul matures. For Clara, that moment came when she turned 21. Her body simply followed her blood’s truth.”

However, that sounded too convenient.

He had only seen her a few months ago, so the switch from child to beauty made Nikolai’s mind chaotic.

”Why does her blood smell so delicious?”

He asked the question while gripping the edge of his seat, holding back his heavy breathing and the volatile desire to bite her neck and tear it apart.

”...eh?” Ryan looked confused and looked at his sister.

”Brother, it’s because he’s like me... his blood is special too.”

When Clara spoke, it sounded like delicate bells ringing—her atmosphere fluttered with a faint aura of a rainbow colour that spread through the room and calmed all people inside it.

”I’m sorry, Brother Nikolai. Does it hurt?”

The beautiful fairy looked at him with a calm expression.

Her words took a moment to register as Leona returned with three Irish coffees, a hot chocolate and some snacks that Nikolai wondered where she found them.

”It’s fine, Clara.”

Ryan’s expression made Nikolai feel awkward about his reaction.

”So, Clara didn’t just grow up overnight—she’s part fairy?”

Leona sat beside Nikolai after serving Ryan and Clara with a hot chocolate.

She looked at Nikolai before smiling and leaning against his arm, not getting involved with the conversation, her tail flicking behind her back.

”That’s right, she didn’t. Until they awaken, fairies stay locked in childhood stasis, both emotionally, magically, and even physically. It’s nature’s way of hiding them. The moment she hit twenty-one… her actual body bloomed.”

I see...

Nikolai noticed her beautiful, white hair, decorated with small vines and petals, as if it had been born from nature itself. Her dress flowed like gossamer, and the aura that wrapped her body felt soft, with a subtle floral scent and a faint glow.

And the way her eyes shimmered like morning dew when she lifted her cocoa.

”So, what did you need help with, Ryan?”

I’ve already seen your sister’s appearance... I’ll have to ask more about it later.

Ryan’s expression became serious, and his shoulders slumped. ”Although my father’s actions cannot be condoned, I recently learned some important information after he disappeared.”

”Oh?”

The man who tried to capture and use him as a blood bank wasn’t someone Nikolai could forgive easily, but he also wanted to give Ryan a chance, as a good friend who had earned back his trust and affection.

”My father has been under some kind of mind-altering poison... In his notes, he mentions... look here.” With that, Ryan took out an old, tattered diary to a specific page.

-- Today is xx the 20XX

I found the answer today. A strange silver wolf appeared and killed all the monsters I’d captured, even the demon inside the room vanished. The man seemed to be someone from a peculiar family of werewolves that even the SSS and that slut Madoka didn’t wish to cause trouble with... His name is Ivan Volkov.

This man seems to be related to my son’s friend.

However, the biggest issue I have is that I no longer trust anything.

Even myself...

My life is a big lie; my wife was someone prepared for me, only to produce children that carried her unique bloodline. Alucard said she admired me, and with her bloodline, it would create a strong heir.

The liars!

Little did I know that she already had someone she loved, and now she’s gone, how can I tell the children in the future?

Is this what happens when you become greedy for power?

I don’t like the person I am anymore...

Alucard Nosferatu, this damn potion you make me drink, I won’t take it ever again!

The diary pages showed the gradual changes in Ryan’s father; his thoughts of resistance slowly vanished, and his words became soulless and straightforward.

”His notes were a little vague, but once Clara awakened, she was able to detect something strange about him... she didn’t dare speak to him and told me to escape, and then he vanished just before she became an adult...” Ryan tapped the desk with trembling fingers, ”I worry he is dead, although flawed, he’s still our father.”

Nikolai didn’t understand much from reading the pages. Aside from a few names and the fact that Ryan’s father wasn’t the bad guy he thought he was, everything else seemed complicated.

I cannot simply forgive him for his actions, but he deserves the chance to explain himself.

The biggest shock was learning that Ryan’s father took instructions from the Nosferatu family, which meant that the blood inside Clara might be necessary.

”Is it related to their experiments... Marianne’s blood, my blood, and the mermaid’s tears... by chance, do they need all of our bloodlines to achieve something?”

”Darling, you should take it easy and drink your coffee first.” Leona tapped Nikolai’s shoulder; her gentle smile helped him calm down and realise he was trying to solve everything instantly, without taking the time.

”Thanks, Leo.”

He leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes while breathing softly.

”I’m sorry for asking so much suddenly.” He looked up with a soft expression and then took a long sip from the steaming cup. ”Ryan, I bet you are exhausted, so you should take the time to rest a little. You, too, Clara, you both seem like you haven’t slept in a week.”

The dark rings under their eyes were visible.

”But...”

Ryan tried to argue, but Nikolai wouldn’t budge, and Clara looked like she was about to collapse after the hot chocolate.

”Go on, Leona, can you guide them to a comfortable room, then meet me in the main bedroom?”

”Nn~ of course darling.”

Leona seemed excited after he spoke, and stood neatly by the door after they finished drinking.

Nikolai waited as Leona guided them into a room, before letting out a deep breath; his head pounded from the information overload.

”A fairy with human blood... a hybrid with an evil god’s blood... Kumiko with divine blood and... then we have Marianne’s blood... finally the mermaid’s tear, do they all mean something or am I just being paranoid?”

The Nosferatu clan destroyed Kumiko’s clan, capturing Marianne and taking the last mermaid, Sasha, hostage. The same clan orchestrated everything.

Nosferatu also contributed to the situation involving Clara and Nikolai.

Mother wouldn’t have died, Lunaria wouldn’t have... I would probably have died that night, too.

He gulped the last mouthful of his coffee, the deep taste spreading through his tongue as the sharp taste of whiskey added a sweet aftertaste, allowing him to relax.

”I should leave this for now and send the information to Dad, Nagisa and the others...”

He made a note on his phone and then sent it to the group chat he had created, so everyone was aware of the situation.

Tomorrow, he would think about it in more detail. When Leona came to the door, he gasped... her fair skin wrapped in an almost see-through pink nightdress, with no panties or bra... ”My dear, I think you need to rest tonight... how about a comfortable massage?”

Nikolai’s heart skipped several beats when the sexy maid stepped inside his room; her perfume filled his senses, making his mind hazy as her nightdress rode up when she sat down beside him.

Leona’s leg slipped across his thighs as she mounted him, face to face, her docile eyes seemed aggressive tonight.

”Shall we go to bed, My Dear?”

He lifted her in his arms as he stood up, walking to the master bedroom, a massive room with a super-king-size bed, built to accommodate more than four women at a time.

Nikolai hooked the door with his foot and kicked it.

The sound of the door shutting behind them was followed by the lock, sealing their fate together...
