Chapter 2029: Part 1: Trouble is coming

Meeting room

Matteo heard the explanation. He frowned. He understood that it wouldn’t be easy to get an answer from Appraiser Frank.

His original character was coming out. He lost his patience and asked, ”Appraiser Frank, I hope you will cooperate with me. This is not your territory.

”It’s a city under the control of the water magic tower. Your presence here is suspicious. I want you to share the information with us,” he added.

Quiet!

The next second, there was pin-drop silence. The friends behind Matteo were dumbfounded. The worst thing had happened.

The expressions of Otto, Patrick, Hank, and the old man Rock showed they were pissed off. If not for their Master, they would have attacked already.

On the other hand, I heard the threat. My mouth curved into an arc. I expected the threat.

”Wizard Matteo, I said I’m here for a break. You are accusing me unnecessarily,” I said to Matteo in a cold tone.

Matteo’s eyes flashed with anger.

He stood up and said, ”If you don’t cooperate, then I will have no choice other than to capture you.”

Boom!

Otto and the others stood up. A slight pressure leaked from their bodies. The shock force spread across the room.

The faces of Matteo and his friends changed drastically.

”I want to see. How would you like to capture our boss?” Otto said in a cold tone.

Next, the old man Rock smiled at the others. ”They won’t be able to do anything.”

After saying that, he released a slight pressure of the Magic Lord. It immediately weighed down on the five of them, including Matteo.

Boom!

The pressure of the Magic Lord made them uncomfortable. Matteo and the others understood that it was a difficult fight against the Magic Lord.

Matteo realized that the old man must be a veteran. The pressure itself said that.

”We are leaving,” he said with great difficulty.

Boom!

Then the pressure disappeared completely. Next, the face of Matteo turned red with embarrassment. He left the meeting room with his friends.

They didn’t stop anywhere and left the hotel directly.

”Master, you should have attacked them,” Otto said.

”There is no need to offend them first. I’m sure he will do something to restrict us,” I said to them.

Everyone understood. Then I stood up and returned to the room with the others.

Meanwhile

Matteo and his friends arrived at an open park. They had space to discuss in private. Matteo’s friends were worried right now.

Like they had guessed, Matteo had offended Appraiser Frank. They were expecting Appraiser Frank to raise a complaint against them in the Silver Tower.

Matteo was silent. He was coming up with a solution. He didn’t want Appraiser Frank and his team members to leave the city.

If they left Blue Heart City, it would become hard for them to trace them.

Even if they tried to trace them, it would be possible for Appraiser Frank to come back with reinforcements.

...

Flynn Estate

Magic Lord Lisa inspected the corpses. She too found out that their internal organs were crushed.

She didn’t know whether the Forbidden Wizard had attacked them with coercion.

The magic traces of the enemy were nowhere to be found. Only the magic imprints of the water magic spell were found.

It was related to the spell attack of the former family head, Neil Flynn.

Magic Lord Lisa turned towards City Lord Elena and Supreme Wizard Rebecca.

”The strength of the enemy is unknown. But I have gathered enough information. I will go back to the Magic City and inform the higher-ups,” Magic Lord Lisa said to them.

Supreme Wizard Rebecca decided to return as well.

But City Lord Elena was thinking about other things. She was worried whether any clash had occurred.

Magic Lord Lisa saw the reaction of Rebecca and Elena. She found the expression of Elena was not right.

She asked, ”City Lord, what happened?”

Elena collected her thoughts. She then turned towards the Magic Lord.

”Wizard Matteo asked me about Appraiser Frank’s address. I’m worried that there might have been a confrontation,” Elena replied.

Only then did Rebecca and Magic Lord Lisa realize that Matteo and the others went to the hotel room.

Magic Lord Lisa was angry. She didn’t want to offend the Silver Tower. But there were people with different views. The sea wave faction had other people as well.

They had arrogant attitudes and disliked other magic towers.

Lisa then phoned Matteo. But he was not answering the call. Her expression worsened further. She once again called the other members. The result was the same.

She was not naive. She thought that the others were avoiding her.

”Take me to the hotel,” she said to City Lord Elena.

Hearing that, Elena agreed.

Meanwhile

Matteo made a decision. He wanted them not to leave the city. But he knew Magic Lord Lisa wouldn’t allow that. So he decided to leave the city.

He would wait outside with his friends. Once Magic Lord Lisa and Rebecca left the city, they would enter the city once again to face them.

Without a Magic Lord here, he thought he could handle City Lord Elena.

On the other hand, the Magic Lord and the others reached the Blue Drop Hotel a few minutes later.

They came to the hotel lobby and spoke with the manager there. They learned that Matteo and his team had a discussion with Appraiser Frank and his team.

At first, the discussion was peaceful, but later the mana pressure had destroyed the room. They didn’t know who released the pressure.

Magic Lord Lisa’s expression changed. She learned that Matteo and his friends left the hotel angrily. Appraiser Frank returned to the hotel room with his team.

City Lord Elena was scared. Her support was Rebecca and the Magic Lord. If they were to leave the city, she didn’t know whether others would come.

Rebecca saw through this matter as well. She was angry at Matteo. Lisa turned towards City Lord Elena.

Magic Lord Lisa then said, ”There are other people in the sea wave faction. As long as Appraiser Frank stays here, it’s not good for the city or you.

”You should contact him and explain the matter after we leave the city,” she added.
