Chapter 1970: Sky Dominion

Wrath unsheathed his sword in one go and lunged. But before he understood what was happening, he was thrusting toward the wrong direction. He could have sworn that Sylas was in front of him, but he ended up behind him instead.

Sylas was almost entirely focused on the scene of Whale Runes whizzing by his naked eye.

The Boar roared, space twisting and shattering. A domain of bloody red spread out and Sylas uncovered that his control over space was falling into an endless quagmire.

With a step, the Boar had appeared before him.

Sylasʼ eyes flashed with a tesseract. He took a breath and slowly exhaled, the world slowing around him considerably as Madness bloomed from him.

The rainbow feathered armor separated from his body, his telekinesis wrapping around it and then forming an illusory humanoid within it.

BANG.

Sylas didnʼt even look at the Boar, his foot tapping the ground as he extended the distance. His eyes had never been more focused. In fact, it almost felt like the moment he received some external pressure, he became even faster.

It was like he had never been trying his best until this moment. Or, maybe... even this wasnʼt his limit.

BOOM.

Wrath and the Rune Armor puppet slid back against one another.

The First Layer, Weight of a Domain.

Wrath looked down at his wrist. It was bent at an awkward angle, having snapped off in the wrong direction.

He honestly couldnʼt believe it. If the Gluttony Seed could explosively increase the strength of Will while the Lust Seed explosively increased the strength of Charisma, the Wrath Seed was like an exponential, violent upswing of pure, raw strength.

The angrier he got, the more powerful his body became. It was the most direct and maybe even most useful of the Seeds in terms of giving one immediately usable strength.

And yet... he had just lost an exchange of power against a vacant Rune Armor...

What?

BOOM.

The Armor appeared before Wrath in an instant, attacking again and shattering the latterʼs chest.

Weight of a Domain. It pulled on the Will of the Dino Race, its existence as both a bridge and a reminder. The Will they carried forward was more than just their own. They spanned not only several Divergent Evolution Races, but also a descendant generation that looked toward them for insight and hope of strength.

Such a Will had a disproportionate impact on the Mesh of Reality.

Its weight was simply heavier. And as such, every strike one wielding this Armor levied came with the mass of celestial bodies.

The Armor wasnʼt stronger than Wrath.

It was heavier.

The Dino King Armor suddenly vanished.

BOOM.

A crater appeared in its place and the roar of The Boar pealed across the skies.

Chi. Chi. Chi. Chi.

Feathers pelted down from above like arrows with the weight of moons. The crater doubled, then doubled again, and then doubled once more.

The original pit that Wrath created became little more than a pathetic waste bucket compared to what the armor formed.

The Second Layer, Eternal Rebirth.

A vision of a future that went beyond just what was physically present. It was a belief, an idea, and it was eternal for as long as it was remembered.

The armor could endlessly regenerate without the input of its user. Meaning... it was quite easy to sacrifice feathers, fuse them with the abilities of the first layer, and have an endless hail of attacks with the weight of worlds behind them.

By the same token, the one on the inside would heal so long as their Will could sustain it and they werenʼt attacked by a Will stronger than their own.

An endless regeneration, an endless healing, one that rivalled even the Hibernation Realm.

The clouds cleared and Wrath barely stumbled upward, holes riddling his body. Red veins popped across his body, so numerous and concentrated he looked more vein than man.

High above him, the Rune Armor floated and his main target, Sylas, seemed to have been entirely forgotten. Though maybe in fairness to Wrath... Sylas had also seemed to have forgotten about him, his pupils still darting around as he tried to grasp the D-tier Whale Emperor Armor.

The Dino Race armor raised its hands, its wings expanding out wide and far. In that moment, with the meteors falling from the skies and the sun beaming from above, it looked every bit the part of a descending deity.

And then words echoed across the air.

Sylas didnʼt speak, and the Rune Armor shouldnʼt have been able to. And yet, the words echoed nonetheless.

”Sky Dominion.”

The world turned to grey, white, and black. Everything froze in place, at least from the perspective of Wrath.

Stars began to form in the skies, one point after another twinkling fiercer and fiercer until they flashed so wildly it was impossible to focus on any one of them... But the Rune Armor itself.

The Third Layer, Sky Dominion.

Why were Angel Wings so special? It was hard to say. Honestly, it glanced like something that was more aesthetic than anything else.

However... it wasnʼt what they looked like that was the core, but rather what they represented, a huge taboo, something that had once caused the Serpentes to be struck down from the clouds they had ridden upon.

It wasnʼt just flight, it was command of the skies. It wasnʼt just wings, they were the scepters of the lofty and powerful. They werenʼt just feathers, they were the purest, most recognizable form of power and Dominion.

When Angel Wings appeared, it represented not just flight. They represented a command of the skies that no one could shake.

The Rune Armor slowly lowered a palm from the skies, aiming it right at Wrath.

Lightning crackled.

”Death.”

The words echoed from nowhere and then pressed down.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

A pillar of lightning as thick as a mountain descended, ripping right through the crater and out from the bottom of

the platform the temple called home.

A platform as thick as a planet was torn right through.
