Genetic Ascension

Chapter 1061 Answers

It wasnʼt long before Sylas got his answers.

He wasnʼt too surprised by Malik breaking free of his control. He didnʼt have the patience to carefully layer his suggestion like Nosphaleen did. And he also had no intention of using Nosphaleenʼs usual methods to execute things.

The fact that he could get Malik to obey his words for a short time at all just went to show how powerful his Will was. If he had targeted an F-Grade with similar talent to Malik, they would have probably been at his beck and call for the rest of their lives without even the slightest chance to change their fates.

ʼSo this is the map… interesting…ʼ

Sylas began to orient himself.

He now had the founding knowledge he needed, but what he knew about the Skai 11331 Galaxy itself was limited. This wasnʼt to say that there were things in the galaxy he didnʼt understand, but rather details that the Golden Grove couldnʼt or didnʼt bother to store.

For example, the wormhole highways that stretched across the galaxy were mapped out in ways that only the elites of the galaxy itself would understand.

There were numerous methods for detecting wormholes and where they went, but having an entire map like this was something that only powers that relied on them would have.

Then there was the other elephant in the room.

Where was Earth in relation to all of this? In this sea of stars, it was impossible for Sylas to tell… except for the fact that he had enough knowledge of astronomy to grasp it.

The All-Seeing Eye had called this galaxy the Milky Way. This was something that Sylas had ignored for a while, but it wasnʼt lost on him at all that this was the same name used on Earth.

Maybe things had changed, but the location of Earth in relation to the rest of the galaxy should be…

ʼAround here.ʼ

Based on the twinge in his Luck, Sylas knew that he was right. Plus, he was the Progenitor of Earth— even if his Luck was much lower, he would have been able to grasp Earthʼs location like this.

If Sylas wanted to upgrade his Professions to the E Tier and avoid losing what were effectively four, maybe even five separate Legendary Professions to the machinations of the All-Seeing Eye, he needed to take the heads of the other two Chosen.

Judging by the twinge in his Luck, he really didnʼt have much time to do that.

The good news about using the All-Seeing Eye to gain his Demerits was that it was a temporary item that triggered it, so soon it would be gone and heʼd have the blessings of his Progenitor Merit again.

The bad news was that because it had hijacked his Profession Advancement Quest, once it was gone, he would never be able to upgrade his Professions again.

This was unacceptable to Sylas. They played a part that was far too crucial in his advancement.

However, just running headfirst toward the two Chosen would get him killed.

If Sylas was correct, then his enemies in this case were…

[Skai Galaxy Titans Leaderboard]

—

[1. Sylas Grimblade | Lv. 50 | (Human Simioid)]

[2. Zoryx Kaelthar | Lv. 50 | (Thryskai)]

[3. Thalrik Dazeth | Lv. 50 | (Trakar)]

—

Sylas didnʼt even react to his shift up from third place to first. He had never cared very much about this list in the first place—his eyes were set much higher.

What was important to him was that his enemies right now werenʼt Zoryx and Thalrik. They were the organizations behind them.

The Thryskai were an issue all to themselves, but the Trakar were arguably even more disastrous.

However, the time crunch Sylas was under actually worked in his favor. That was because if he stretched this out for too long, and the Thryskai sensed the danger, they might take the opportunity to call in outside help.

Sylas wasnʼt a fool. Sure, there were rules against outside interference, but had that stopped them with Earth? The All-Seeing Eye was far more ruthless than the modern system. Though this meant that some things were far harder, it also meant that other things were far easier.

It was ruthless in all ways.

The outside world didnʼt seem to have noticed that the Skai 11331 Galaxy had been taken over by the Legendary System just yet, and they even seemed to be cut off from being sensed in some ways, but exposed in others.

In that case, Sylas not only had to act fast before his enemies realized what sort of monster they were dealing with, he had to act in ways no one would ever expect.

Originally, he planned to use Lorien for that, but it was clear that she was of no use—at least not in the ways he had been hoping. In that case…

”The Sylphs.”

The conclusion was obvious to Sylas, and for reasons that others might not be able to think of easily. But first—

”I have enough now. Itʼs time to upgrade my eyes.”

Sylas had planned on using Ulrikʼs eyes and another F-Grade, but if he could use two E-Grade Thryskai Third Eyes instead…

Why shouldnʼt he?

Would it almost certainly try to kill him?

That went without saying.

But now, he felt like he had the capital to deal with such backlash. It would only make his foundation stronger.

[Sacred Oculum Transmutation (???) (Secret)]

—

Even with his new Scouting Skill, Sylas still couldnʼt see the Grade of this technique, but that much was still fine by him.

All of the materials he needed, including the Blood Essence of three King Beasts with Ocular Lineages, were on his person right now. Thankfully, the Thryskai had presented themselves to him all on their own.

When his eyes reached Tier 2, the limitations on his Unravelling Pupils and Weaving Irises would no longer be there. The strain would vanish, and he would be able to unleash the greatest strength possible onto the world.

Sylas closed his eyes, the items slowly floating out from his Madness Key.

BANG!

The earth around him was suddenly compressed by the power of his telekinesis, forming a smooth surface with a ten-meter diameter.

BANG!

The earth was compressed again, but this time deep etchings of fine Runes appeared, forming a maze of energy in the surroundings. Sylas had only just begun, but large plumes of Aether were already rushing over.
