Eternal Thief

Chapter 1291 Badass Ace!

Raven was alone in the room at this moment, and his eyes narrowed coldly. At this moment, he took out a black Communication Spirit Totem and activated it.

”Raveneye, did you find out what happened to that human boy?” he asked in a cold tone.

Ravenʼs current mood was caused by his tracking spell being dispelled over an hour ago, which was quite shocking to Raven. After all, Raven knew that entering the Western District of the Runic Forge City wouldnʼt be simple for Ace, but this wasnʼt. enough to get Ace killed, not to mention that he couldnʼt think of someone strong enough to detect his tracking spell on Ace.

After all, even if someone discovered it, that kind of powerful person wouldnʼt bother with it; they would simply think that. So unless Ace was killed, Raven couldnʼt think of anyone who could dispel his mark on Ace, and Ace wasnʼt strong enough to do it.

The only other possibility was that Ace had a mysterious backer that they didnʼt know about, and he played both Eleanor and him. But this also didnʼt make any sense since Eleanor had bonded Ace with a Law Contract, so he couldnʼt betray them unless he wanted to die.

Thatʼs why Raven quickly assigned Raveneye the task of investigating what exactly happened. He was hoping to find clues before he confronted Eleanor.

After all, their identities were extremely sensitive, and Ace had seen everyoneʼs faces except Ravenʼs. So, if there was a chance Ace could bring them trouble, Raven wouldnʼt hesitate to abandon his scheme and cut his losses short, which he wanted to avoid at all costs.

As for going out himself, he wonʼt risk it since there might be some trap to lure him there, so Raveneye was the best person for this job.

With a hint of doubt, Raveneyeʼs husky voice sounded from the Communication Spirit Totem, ”Are you sure you give me the correct coordinates of where your tracking spell was destroyed on that human boy?”

Ravenʼs eyes flashed with surprise when he heard this unexpected response from Raveneye, and he instantly sensed something amiss.

”Yes, I couldnʼt be wrong. Whatʼs the matter? Donʼt tell me itʼs a trap?” Raven asked.

”I donʼt know if itʼs a trap or not, but the tracking talisman you gave me has led me somewhere troublesome, and it is definitely not a good sign.” Raveneyeʼs grave voice rang.

”Where?”

”The Feline Alchemy Shop!”

Ravenʼs eyes widened ever so slightly, ”Could it be that woman? But how the hell did he offend her? Although that lunatic is infamous for her eccentric tendencies and likes to play a hooligan, she had never killed anyone within the Crown Domain before.”

”Your guess is as good as mine.” Raveneye replied, ”But whatever the case is, I donʼt want to go inside to check. However, if that human boy really had fallen into her hands, destroying your spell isnʼt a big deal for her. Now, whether heʼs alive or not, I wonʼt take the risk of going inside her shop, and my abilities are completely blocked because of that shopʼs protection formation.

”I think we should forget about that boy. Even if she captured him, since heʼs bonded with a law contract, he wonʼt be able to say anything about us. All we can do now is to keep our distance.

”The plan is already in motion, so taking this risk will only bring unnecessary trouble. However, we should keep this news to ourselves for now. After all, Ravenmindʼs attachment to that human makes her unpredictable. And if Iʼm not wrong, there is something strange about him, and that lunatic mightʼve also captured him for this reason as well.”

Raven fell silent. He believed Raveneyeʼs assessment; after all, he was the Nightfall Ravenhoodʼs scout and could infiltrate even a King Sect that wasnʼt part of the three righteous and three evils.

But even Raveneye didnʼt dare step into Feline Alchemy Shop because Nightfall Ravenhood has some information about its owner, and if it was true, then going there would be akin to suicide.

So, Raven didnʼt hesitate and said, ”Alright, weʼll do as you say and abandon that boy. Iʼll explain it to Ravenmind once we are done with our mission. Meanwhile, keep an eye on her just to be sure she wonʼt try to approach him. After all, with a law contract between them, she can probably sense his location.

”Although she had never made any mistake, just as you said, that boy is strange, so that she might try something foolish.”

”Iʼll make sure it wonʼt happen. But she wonʼt have time since she will be busy joining the Kingʼs Anvil. Just give the Ravencrown a heads-up. Sheʼll take care of it.” Raveneye impassively stated.

Raven nodded, ”Will do. Since this matter is settled, you should focus on the Gray Hunter. Heʼs the most crucial part of the puzzle!”

”Iʼm on it!”

The next moment, the Communication Spirit Totem went dormant. Raven couldnʼt help but sigh, ”The Feline Alchemy Shop... what are the odds of him falling there of all places? I canʼt put my mind at ease unless that boy is gone. Should I move personally?” Ravenʼs eyes flashed with a cold glint. Although he agreed to leave Ace alone on the surface, Raven wasnʼt someone who left things alone, especially if they could harm him and the Nightfall Ravenhood.

Heʼd been planning this mission for a long time, and now that he was so close to achieving his goal, he didnʼt want to take any chances...but the Feline Alchemy Shop really made him hesitant.

Within the Feline Alchemy Shop, Ace was unaware that the Ravens had already abandoned him for good once they learned where he was.

At this moment, Ace was helplessly following Zaria in the inner shop while little Leah was chatting none stop beside him, telling him some story of a baddie who attacked her and how Zaria ʼkissed his assʼ while she held his hand, and she was full of smiles.

...and then Big Sister Zaria kick that shithead in the balls, making him look like a rotten monkey ass! Hehehehe, it was hilarious!” Leah giggled cutely, looking very adorable as her cat ears twitched.

But Ace smiled wryly when he heard those ʼinsultsʼ mixed in the story while he glanced at the charming woman ahead, who was smiling with pride.

At this moment, Ace entered the second floor, and he was surprised because it was a luxurious hall completely different from the shop interior below.

Furthermore, Ace instantly smelled the rich aroma of medicine. His eyes were instantly attracted to a closed white door in the distance, and he could feel that it was locked with a powerful restriction.

Leah said, ”This is our home! Big Sister Zaria never let anyone here except for the nice ʼStinky Old Pervert. ʼYou are the second person, Handsome Dog! Come, Iʼll show you my room!”

Ace was speechless again when Leah called this nice person a ʼStinky Old Pervert, but he was also surprised and curious about his identity since he didnʼt think Leah was making things up.

Since this Stinky Old Pervert can enter here, this could only mean he has close ties with Zaria or at least some kind of relationship.

But Ace didnʼt dare probe with that madwoman present, and he could feel that,

despite not looking at him, her eyes were on him.

At this moment, Ace finally spoke to Zaria before Leah could drag him towards her room, ”Umm, Boss, can you please tell her not to call me Handsome Dog? Since I agree to stay here, at least give me some face. Just call me Ace, alright?”

Leah stopped as she looked at Ace and then Zaria with expectance; she would only listen to Zaria despite wanting to follow Ace.

Zaria gave Ace a strange smile, which gave Ace a bad feeling. ”Your request is indeed reasonable. Alright, Iʼm not an unreasonable person, and we canʼt have our shopkeeper known as ʼHandsome Dog, or weʼll lose all face. So, you should have an imposing name befitting for our shop. Alright, Iʼve decided you should be Badass Ace from now on!”

Aceʼs expression went dark, and Leah started to clap cheerfully and called adorably, ”Wow, Badass Ace is very fierce!”
