Chapter 1752 1752: Her Grandmaʼs Talk With Her Friend

Yu Qi and Long Hui went to see Ma Xiurong. Tobias Mathew wanted to establish a business deal here. So, they decided to return here for a few months. Ma Xiurong invited Yu Qi to meet her at her house. She told Yu Qi that she had something to tell Yu Qi.

Remembering the time when Yu Qi heard Ma Xiurong say something similar to someone, Yu Qi decided to meet Ma Xiurong. However, she did not want to go alone. So, she asked Long Hui to tag along. They had been welcomed by the maid. The maid then asked them to follow her.

The villa was very beautiful. Ma Xiurong liked nature. So, her interior design of the villa matched her likeness. The maid brought them to the back of the villa. Yu Qi could see Ma Xiurong was sitting at the gazebo drinking something while looking at nature.

”Mrs Mathew.” Yu Qi greeted the old lady.

”Oh, you are here. Come and sit with me.” Ma Xiurong smiled while welcoming Yu Qi and Long Hui to sit together.

She then asked the maid to go and prepare the tea.

”It has been a while since I saw you at the party.” Ma Xiurong began to talk.

”Yes, Mrs Mathew.” Yu Qi nodded.

”I am calling you here to ask you about something.” Ma Xiurong stated.

The maid came over and served the tea with some refreshments. Then she stood up far from them. If Ma Xiurong gestured for her to come over, she would see and come over.

”What is the matter, Mrs Mathew?” Yu Qi asked.

”I heard about your life. You are an orphan, then, got adopted by a family who abused you. After that, you left that family and got adopted again by the Tang Family.” Ma Xiurong stated.

”That is right.” Yu Qi nodded.

Everyone could find out about her life if they investigated that. It was not a secret thought.

”So, do you know about your biological family?” Ma Xiurong asked.

”I know.” Yu Qi nodded.

Ma Xiurong was surprised. She thought that Yu Qi did not know about her biological family.

”You know?” Ma Xiurong asked.

”Yeah.” Yu Qi nodded again.

”Who is it?” Ma Xiurong asked.

”Before I answer that question, may I ask, why do you want to know that?” Yu Qi threw a question. ”Actually, I have a friend. She looked very similar to you when she was still young. That is why I am asking if you know your biological family.” Ma Xiurong explained.

”I see. Then, what is your friendʼs name?” Yu Qi asked again.

”Dian Yiyi.” Ma Xiurong answered.

”Oh, you are my grandmaʼs friend.” Yu Qi smiled.

”So, you are really her grandchildren.” Ma Xiurong smiled. ”Then, you know that you are the granddaughter of Mu Guang Qi?” ”I do.” Yu Qi nodded.

”Then, why donʼt you return to your real family?” Ma Xiurong asked.

”I think I donʼt have to. Besides, if I appear as my Grandpaʼs granddaughter, what do you think his other grandchildren would think?” Yu Qi smiled.

Ma Xiurong understood that. In a rich family, some siblings would kill each other to obtain the inheritance. Not to mention, Yu Qi was their step-cousin. Ma Xiurong remembered that Mu Guang Qi married another woman else after Dian Yiyi died. That woman gave birth to two sons. And the two sons already had their own children. Ma Xiurong was furious when she found out Mu Guang Qi got married not long after Dian Yiyi died. She almost wanted to go and beat Mu Guang Qi. Luckily, her husband investigated the matter and told her that Mu Guang Qi married because of his Familyʼs order. It was not like he wanted to marry her out of love. ”Does your grandfather know about your existence?” Ma Xiurong asked.

”He does.” Yu Qi smiled.

”I see. I thought you did not know about the matter. So, I call you to let you know about the matter.” Ma Xiurong was relieved. ”I see.” Yu Qi smiled.

”You really look like your grandmother. She is beautiful and confident as you.” Ma Xiurong stated.

”How do you two meet in the first?” Yu Qi wanted to know more about her grandmother.

”She saved me.” Ma Xiurong began to recall the past. ”That night, I just finished my work and was about to return home but suddenly some hooligans came over and blocked my path. I was a weak woman. I donʼt know what to do to pass these hooligans. That was where your grandmother appeared and saved me from those hooligans. She beat up that hooligan and called the police after that. We became friends at night.” ”How old are you at that time?” Yu Qi asked.

”Just turned 19, I recalled. But your grandmother is 20 years old if I am not mistaken.” Ma Xiurong said.

”So, Grandma is like a hero to you.” Yu Qi chuckled.

”Not a hero, but a knight in armour.” Ma Xiurong laughed when she remembered something else. ”You know what? We even talked about our future together. We want our children to get married if we have children of the opposite gender. We even thought if we ended up having sons, we hope that our sons could have children of the opposite gender. Thatʼs why we can get our grandchildren to marry each other and become an in-law family.”
