Chapter 1010 - 1010: Ask For Tang Han Leeʼs Advise

”Doctor Yu Qi, how was your holiday?” Nurse Shin Te asked during lunch.

They know that Yu Qi took several days off to go on a vacation with her fiance. The culprit who leaked the information was her second brother, Tang Jin Wei. He was blabbering about Yu Qi and her fiance. So, everyone ended up knowing about it.

Well, Yu Qi did not feel embarrassed at all. Because she did not do anything wrong. She went on a vacation with her fiance. So, it was nothing wrong with it.

”Hmm... Everything is great.” Yu Qi nodded smiled.

”With handsome man by your side, everything is great.” Nurse Su Han said.

”Doctor Yu Qi, when will you get married?” Nurse Shin Tu asked.

”You are asking Doctor Yu Qi... how about you? When will you get married?” Nurse Su Han asked Nurse Shin Tu.

”Well, I am still preparing for it.” Nurse Shin Tu said. She already had a boyfriend

”Doctor Yu Qi is still young but you will approach your 30ʼs soon. You should get married as soon as possible. The risk during child-birth increases as the age increases.” Nurse Su Han advised.

She was already married and had 2 children. She told them that her sister in law got pregnant in the late ʼ30s, approaching 40 because of her work. In the end, she could not go through the pregnancy due to some risks. She lost the child and could not get pregnant until now.

”Donʼt worry. I will get married this year.” Nurse Shin Te smiled.

She knew that Nurse Su Han advised her because of the goodwill. She knew about Nurse Su Hanʼs sister in lawʼs story because Nurse Su Hanʼs sister in law was admitted to this hospital.

The lunch ended. They got back to work. When Yu Qi got back to work, she was being visited by a patient who claimed that she had some pains in her eyes. Yu Qi checked it. When she was checking the eyes, she noticed there was a mass behind the womanʼs eyes.

She did not know what caused this mass. She asked the woman whether she knew about this. The woman said she knew about this. The woman said the previous doctor of her told her about this mass. But it was small at that time. The doctor diagnosed that it was just inflammation and nothing more. She had been prescribed antibiotics and some eye drops.

After a week, the headaches became more severe. She also could feel that she had started to lose her vision until it was affecting her work. She did not want to go to the previous doctor. So, here she was.

Yu Qi nodded, understanding what the woman was going through. Yu Qi took some of her blood samples. Yu Qi told the woman to return first and wait for the call. The woman understood. She returned first.

Taking the blood sample, Yu Qi went to the laboratory to run a series of highly specialised blood tests. When she got the result, she was stunned by it. Yu Qi went to meet her first brother, Tang Han Lee.

At that time, Tang Han Lee had just finished his consultation with one of his patients. Yu Qi knocked on his door. Tang Han Lee was surprised to see her little sister here.

”Yu Qi, come in.” Tang Han Lee invited her in.

Yu Qi sat down in front of Tang Han Lee.

”Big Brother, I want something to discuss with you.” Yu Qi said.

Seeing his little sister was serious, he started to get serious too. ”What is it?”

”I have a patient today who claims to have a headache and she is losing her vision. She had her previous doctor check her for it. The doctor told her there was a mass behind her eye and diagnosed it as inflammation. She had been prescribed antibiotics and eye drops.” Yu Qi started to tell Tang Han Lee about the womanʼs condition.

”A mass...” Tang Han Lee frowned.

”After a while, the pain and her vision are getting worse. I can not diagnose it on the spot. So, I have taken her blood test and run some blood tests on her blood. Here are the results which I have gotten from the tests.” Yu Qi placed the file on the table.

Tang Han Lee took and opened the file. As he read the detail inside the file, Yu Qi could see that he was frowning.

” Toxocara...” Tang Han Lee sighed.

”Yes. A parasite. ” Yu Qi nodded.

Toxocara was a parasitic roundworm. Inside the womanʼs eye, Toxocara had latched on her retina.

”The presence of the parasite has caused the inflammation and scarring to the eye, leading to her blurry vision, headache and ultimately the mass behind her eye.” Tang Han Lee made the conclusion from the information he got.

”From what I know, Toxocara parasites have a special coating that they use as a protection against the body immune cell. This ability allowed them to thrive in nearly any part of the human body, but it is often in the eye where they are most dangerous.” Yu Qi added.

”Thatʼs right. There, the infection can go unchecked, resulting in blindness and even completed loss of the eyeball.” Tang Han Lee nodded.

”Big Brother, I am not an expert as much as you. I hope you can take over this case.” Yu Qi asked.

”Sure. I will take over the case.” Tang Han Lee nodded.
