I reported you for selling fake medicine. If I stop selling it, why are you crying?

Chapter 86 When do we set off?Chapter 86 When do we set off?
It is not possible for a person to go into the mountains alone. Even if Cheng Ming has master-level fighting skills, it is impossible for him to fight a tiger or a bear.

And it’s easy to get lost in the mountains and forests.

So two conditions are needed - bodyguards and guides.

As soon as Cheng Ming got off the plane in Heicheng, he went directly to the largest local security company.

He was greeted by a manager with tattoos on his arms.

”Brother, what do you need?”

”Of course I need people when I come to your place.” Cheng Ming said, ”I need two short-term bodyguards, preferably those with experience in the mountains.”

The manager with a big belly and tattooed arms suddenly changed his expression: ”Brother, we won’t do anything illegal!”

”It’s not hunting.” Cheng Ming explained, but then he had a flash of inspiration.

He was going into the mountains.

Moreover, this is a mountainous area with bears and tigers, so it would be much safer if you could bring some equipment with you.

”Can you get a license to hunt with a gun? Money is not a problem.”

”Brother, what are you going to do?” The tattooed manager looked horrified. ”Are you going to hunt tigers and leopards?”

”No.”

Cheng Ming was speechless and quickly explained it to the manager Huabi, who then suddenly understood.

”But brother, hunting with guns is not possible anywhere, but we can bring compound bows, electric batons, long weapons, etc., even if we encounter bears or Siberian tigers, it won’t be a problem. Besides, wild animals usually don’t dare to attack when they see a large number of people.”

”Okay, find me four people.”

”Brother Xing, how long will it take?”

”Not sure. If I’m lucky, it will take me ten days or half a month, but the longest will not exceed six months.”

When Cheng Ming came out of the security company, he brought four burly men in suits, all of whom were veterans and very skilled.

Now that the security issue has been resolved, the next step is the guide.

Cheng Ming also checked the information in advance.

There are some ginseng collectors in Heicheng. These people usually live on the outskirts of the mountains and make a living by looking for wild ginseng.

He came to a large local Chinese medicine pharmacy.

Tell the Chinese medicine boss your purpose.

Henban is a hospitable man from Northeast China.

He said, ”I do know a village that makes a living by collecting ginseng, but the people in that village haven’t sent wild ginseng to us for a long time, and I don’t know if they are still doing it.”

”Thank you boss.”

Get the address of the ginseng collecting village.

Cheng Ming and four bodyguards rented an off-road vehicle and drove to the mountainous area in the countryside near the Lesser Khingan Mountains.

After walking dozens of kilometers along the mountain road, we finally arrived at the ginseng pickers’ village that the pharmacy owner had mentioned.

It was a novelty to see a luxurious off-road vehicle arriving in the dilapidated village. Several big men changed into transport uniforms, but their strong physiques were still very eye-catching.

A few old men who were chatting at the village entrance looked at Cheng Ming and others with surprise.

However, when Cheng Ming looked at this small village, he felt that for some reason, this village was a bit... desolate.

The bodyguard walked towards the old men sitting under the big tree and started chatting with one of them.

”Uncle, is this a ginseng picking village?”

”What village?”

”Ginseng Picking Village!”

”No, this is called Dahu Village!”

“No, I’m asking if your village is a ginseng picker’s village. Do all the people here pick ginseng?” The bodyguard said helplessly.

There were so many words that the hard of hearing man was completely dizzy.

Another old man nearby laughed and said, ”Yes, but now Wang Mazi is the only one picking ginseng in our village. Other young people don’t do it anymore.”

Cheng Ming asked, ”Uncle, why don’t you do it?”

”There’s no more ginseng to collect,” the old man said. ”It’s not enough to support the whole family.”

Cheng Ming was silent.

I didn’t expect it to be like this. No wonder the pharmacy owner said that no one has sent ginseng here from this village for a long time. So they don’t do it anymore?
It seems like we came to the wrong place this time.

But it’s all here.

Cheng Ming asked again: ”Uncle, which house is Wang Mazi’s that you just mentioned?”

”Turn left and go to the third store ahead.” ”Thank you, sir.”

Cheng Ming casually handed a bag of fruit to a few elderly people, and the old men happily shared it.

He and his bodyguards came to the door of the house the uncles mentioned.

Although this is a mountain village, there is actually a road. Almost every house in the village is made of bricks, except for this one, which is still a mud house.

A small courtyard was surrounded by rotten firewood, and two children were chasing and playing in the courtyard.

Seeing Cheng Ming and others approaching, the two children were not afraid. They looked at Cheng Ming and others across the low courtyard wall.

At this time, the sound of a man and a woman arguing came from the house.

”Wang Mazi, let me ask you one last time, are you going to work in the city?”

”Don’t go.”

”Fuck you! You’re picking ginseng to fight with those bitches, can you support me?”

”Wouldn’t it be better if you spend less at home and go to the city less often?”

”What’s the point of living like this? Look, so many people in the village have gone to work in the city. They drive cars and live in Western-style buildings! What about you? You’re still living in this shabby house!”

”Why compare with others? Have I ever lacked food or clothes for you?”

”Get the hell out of here! I’ll give you the child, and I’m leaving now!”

The voice just fell.

A woman wearing a leopard print skirt and black stockings walked out of the door carrying a bag. She didn’t even look at the children in the yard. She opened the door and walked out without looking back.

Passing by Cheng Ming and the others, the woman saw the bodyguards staring at her and yelled, ”Look at your mother!”

Several bodyguards turned their heads.

The man inside didn’t chase out and seemed to have accepted his fate.

Cheng Ming came to the gate and shouted, ”Is anyone there?”

Not long after, a dark-skinned man walked out of the gate. When he saw Cheng Ming and his companions, a hint of vigilance appeared in his eyes.

”Who are you looking for?”

”We are here to look for ginseng pickers. I heard that you are the only one picking ginseng around here?”

The man heard this and struggled a little. Finally, he said, ”There are no more ginseng collectors here. You can go now.”

Cheng Ming said: ”Brother, you are Wang Mazi, right? Give me a hand, I will give you money.”

”I’ve already told you there are no ginseng pickers left, hurry up and leave!”

The man waved his hands impatiently to drive away a few people.

Cheng Ming had no choice but to take out a stack of 10,000 yuan in cash.

”How about hiring you for a month for 10,000 yuan?”

When Wang Mazi saw the money, his eyes widened, then he ran over with a smile to open the gate.

”Boss! Come on in and talk.”

Cheng Ming and others came in.

After entering, I found that the house was really small and the furniture was very broken. There was a broken bed in the corner of the living room and an old man was lying on the bed.

”That’s my father. He’s old and has difficulty walking.” Wang Mazi said.

Cheng Ming nodded.

No wonder the woman just now wanted to leave. With such poor conditions and having to support an elderly person, few women would be willing to stay.

”Boss, you said you wanted to hire me?” the man asked with a smile.

”Yes, ten thousand yuan a month, are you willing?” Cheng Ming asked.

”Of course!” Wang Mazi was very excited.

That’s 10,000 yuan a month! Those people in the village who go to work in the city don’t earn that much, right?

Even in the short term it’s worth it.

”But you have to tell me what you need me to do first. I won’t do anything that is against the law!”

Cheng Ming burst out laughing. Even though this man is so poor, he still has principles.

”Don’t worry, it’s not illegal.”

”I’m going to the mountains to look for ginseng. How about you being my guide for 10,000 yuan a month?”

”No problem!” Wang Mazi was very excited, even a little anxious, ”When do we leave?”
