The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2339: Power of Chaos and Power of Order vs Power of Negation

Cain did not believe the Ancient One was bluffing. He knew, with absolute certainty, that facing such a monster meant risking true death—the kind from which even a True Name might not return. Yet there was no path in which he would accept becoming someone’s slave. For someone like him, submission was simply impossible.

Seeing the cold resolve burning in the eyes of the Scarlet King, the Ancient One’s killing intent exploded outward. His grip tightened, shadows thickening around his hand as countless eyes began to open within the darkness, writhing and shifting with malicious purpose.

Just as shadowy tendrils lined with those eyes were about to pierce Cain’s head, a golden projectile flashed from the distance.

It moved so fast and so silently that the Ancient One only sensed it when it was already upon him.

Awe and shock filled the eyes of the Leader of the Freedom Path as the projectile bypassed his perception entirely—and worse, pierced straight through the omnipresent field of the Power of Negation that protected his body at all times.

”BOOM!”

Before the Ancient One could react, the projectile struck his temple and detonated. His body was blasted violently into the distance, rolling across the ground and carving a small canyon into the earth.

With the Ancient One’s hand no longer crushing his skull, Cain finally drew a deep breath. The Depravita Aura surged, rapidly repairing the damage to his head as he forced himself upright. He immediately turned his gaze toward the Ancient One and saw the man lying in the distance.

Though shadows still clung to his figure, Cain could clearly see it.

Half of the Ancient One’s skull had been pulverized.

Cain stood frozen in awe and disbelief. Even after landing two point-blank Ragnarök attacks, he had only managed to leave deep wounds on the body of the Ancient One. He had never come close to inflicting damage on that level.

Slowly, he turned toward the origin of the shot.

Standing there was a young man who looked strikingly similar to him. White hair flowed loosely, and red eyes glowed like distant stars. In his hands were two guns, each overflowing with golden plasma that pulsed with vibrations reminiscent of the universe’s birth—resonances that connected all things.

”Hello, brother.”

The newcomer smiled widely at Cain.

There was no mistaking it.

It was the Crimson Exarch—Cain’s primordial-essence twin.

A storm of complicated emotions crossed Cain’s face as he met his brother’s gaze. The man had just saved his life, yet his schemes after their saga across the Red King’s Sacred Dimension had nearly shattered Cain’s Neo-Demon Core. Their relationship was far from amicable.

The Crimson Exarch noticed the tension in Cain’s eyes and chuckled lightly.

”I know you’re angry at me,” he said. ”But I did it with the best intentions.”

His smile faded as he turned toward the distant figure of the Ancient One, his expression sharpening.

”We can talk about the past later. Right now, all our focus should be on that man.”

Cain immediately followed his gaze.

The Ancient One was rising from the ground. His life force and soul energy were violently unstable—unsurprising, given that half his head was missing. He was unimaginably powerful, his body beyond durable, but he did not possess an immortal constitution. A wound like that was crippling.

Yet his remaining eye burned with icy rage as his power surged once more. The Power of Negation erupted with greater intensity than ever before.

Under the solemn gazes of the Scarlet King and the Crimson Exarch, the Ancient One’s head began to restore itself.

This was not regeneration.

It was as if the wound had never existed—negated outright from reality and space-time.

The sight was deeply unsettling, as if they felt like no matter what they did, they could never truly harm the Ancient One.

However, Cain and the Crimson Exarch both sensed a silver lining. The Ancient One’s aura and Power of Negation were noticeably weaker. Whatever that rebirth had cost him, it had not been insignificant.

The Ancient One turned his gaze toward the Crimson Exarch, hatred and loathing boiling within his remaining eye.

”You little traitorous rat.”

The Crimson Exarch smiled faintly.

”Technically, the only reason I joined your side was to learn your frequency and vibrations so I could kill you,” he replied calmly. ”So I’m not sure ’traitor’ is the right word. Still, if it makes you feel better, go ahead.”

The Ancient One clenched his fists as he saw the mockery behind the Crimson Exarch’s words. His power surged violently, causing the ground beneath him to tremble.

The Crimson Exarch took a deep breath as he felt the crushing might radiating from the Ancient One.

”Wings of Order.”

The moment the words left his mouth, massive crimson plasma wings erupted from his back. They shimmered with authority, capable of resonating directly with the rules and laws of the universe itself.

Cain’s eyes widened briefly. This was the true might of the Power of Order, the antithesis of his Power of Chaos.

But there was no time to dwell on it.

Cain tightened his grip on Sky Devourer, and the Wings of Chaos flared violently behind him, warping space with their presence. The Crimson Exarch glanced at Cain, surprise flashing across his face before he smiled faintly.

He hadn’t expected Cain to have advanced the Power of Chaos to such a level.

”I only have one more Big Crunch Shot attuned to the frequency and vibrations of the Ancient One,” the Crimson Exarch said, his voice solemn and resolute. ”If I miss... we’re done.”

Cain nodded.

That single shot—the one that had blown apart half of the Ancient One’s head—was their best and possibly only chance. If it failed, the Ancient One would almost certainly kill them both.

Silence reigned.

The three figures stared at one another, power rising to suffocating levels—

—and then they moved.

The ground shattered beneath their feet as all three launched forward simultaneously, the clash of Chaos, Order, and Negation.
