The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 531: The Soul Kingʼs plot

When General Casidius heard that command, his eyes widened, as did those of all other generals from the Inferno Daemon Race.

”Void King, the sectors on our flanks have yet to finish evacuating all civilians. There is no real military gain in attacking them, and we will only be causing death to the weak who cannot pose any threat to us.”

Even though the Inferno Daemon Race and the Godslayer Humankind Race were at war, thousands of years of battle had led to the formation of unspoken rules between both sides. Although there were no qualms about killing soldiers on either side since that was the nature of war and every warrior had accepted such a burden, things were different when it came to civilians.

Of course, there were events in which the actions of the Dark Races led to the death of many civilians, such as the Gaia Invasion, the event in which Cain awakened his Ego Wave and defeated a Wave Champion Atrox.

However, that event came as a response since during a military mission from the Godslayer Human Race, something went wrong, and human spies blew up a civilian city. That triggered the rage of the Atrox Immortus Race, who infiltrated several Sectors with the help of the Inferno Daemon Race and wreaked havoc.

That was why when Zarak fought the Apotheosis Master of the Abyssal Clan, this one uttered the words, ”Every action has a reaction.”

Even if it was an enemy race, General Casidius did not feel good about killing a bunch of children and old people who could not fight back.

However, the Void King did not have that problem.

”You have your orders. Leave.”

General Casidius clenched his fists as he nodded and left with the rest of the generals, leaving the four Dark Kings alone.

Once the four Dark Kings were alone, the Void Kingʼs eyes grew cold as he glanced at the Blood King, making this one tremble.

”Soul King. You have news related to Cain Laurifer, right?”

When the Blood King heard that, his entire body began to tremble. The reason was that, according to his report, Cain Laurifer had perished inside an alternate dimension trying to escape from him, yet that was a lie.

The Blood King was so ashamed and afraid of his failure that he lied to the Void King and made sure that the Azure King and all other members of the Azure Royal Family would follow his charade, erasing any mention of Cainʼs last words and the name of the Scarlet King.

In all fairness, the Blood King expected Cain to die from his wounds. After all, the Dark King nearly made the heart of the young man explode and completely crippled his path, yet it seemed he had underestimated him again.

The Soul Kingʼs eyes were equally cold as he glanced at the Blood King before focusing on the Void King.

”Yes. The boy arrived in the Hyperion Continent just before the start of the Great Cataclysm. The infamous Scarlet King who terrorized Kronosʼ underworld was Cain Laurifer. His Astral Rebirth Path of Power was crippled, yet he obtained battle power beyond his previous peak using the Essence Evolution Path of Power.

He destroyed dozens of Tier 1 Dark Factions of Silent World and then stormed into a battle between Silent World and Blood Path with the help of an Atrox Duke.

He severed the arm of a Divine Ascension Master and killed several Late Apotheosis Masters before hijacking Blood Pathʼs intercontinental teleportation formation and leaving.

Right now, his battle power seems to have reached the Peak Apotheosis Realm as he killed a Divine Beast just a few weeks ago on the shore of the Hyperion Continent, along with nearly another million Wave Beasts in less than twelve hours.”

The Void King clenched his fists, and a sense of shock appeared in the eyes of the Shadow King as they heard the feats that the young man had managed to achieve on the foreign continents. Clearly, Cain Laurifer was not someone who needed the help of his race to succeed; he was a shining star wherever he went.

”IMPOSSIBLE!”

The shock in the Blood Kingʼs heart was much greater than the others, as what he heard was like a nightmare come true.

”You must be wrong. How could that brat start from zero in the Essence Evolution Path and reach quasi-Divine battle power in less than two years!?”

”Hmph. Of the two, I am not the one that lies! Had you told us the truth, we could have used our forces in the Kronos Continent to track down the boy and kill him, yet your lies allowed him to escape. He even used his codename as a taunt, yet we knew nothing due to your cowardice.”

The Soul King sneered as he saw the reaction of the Blood King and no longer bothered with this one, turning to the Void King, waiting to see how this one would handle this problem.

The Void King remained silent for a moment before focusing on the Soul King.

”How feasible would it be to send assassins to take care of him now?” y Virtual Library Empire

”I am afraid that he has obtained the favor of the Patriarch of the Zagninis Clan, and the Solis Clanʼs Patriarch just named him his Foster Son. To take him down, we will have to go through two True Titans.”

”I see.”

The Void King immediately discarded the idea since trying to overcome two True Titans was a task requiring the Dark Kingsʼ direct involvement.

”There is a way. The Astral Bloodline Realm will open in a few days, and no one above the Apotheosis Realm can enter, so the Patriarchs cannot protect the boy there. I have already set pieces in motion.”

A sharp light appeared in the eyes of the Void King as he heard this, and he softly nodded.

”As always, you never bring a problem without a solution.”

”It is my pleasure to be of assistance.”
