Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 275: Yun-10 AircraftChapter 275: Yun-10 Aircraft - A Plane of Reputation
The successful delivery of the Y-10 aircraft was like a bright light across the sky, instantly igniting the burning flames in the hearts of countless Chinese people and making them feel extremely proud.

This is a domestically-developed large aircraft that we independently developed and produced!

It carries the dreams and expectations of generations and has gone through countless hardships and obstacles before it was able to soar into the blue sky.

Because of this, it also has a loud and friendly name - ”the pride machine”!
With the emergence of domestically-produced large aircraft, it not only fills an important gap in my country’s aviation industry, but also brings unprecedented opportunities and choices to domestic airlines.

In the past, due to the lack of competitive domestic large aircraft, domestic airlines often had to rely on several large foreign aircraft manufacturers when purchasing.

Today, however, the situation has changed fundamentally.

Those foreign giants that produce large aircraft, which once acted arrogantly at the negotiating table and arbitrarily set many harsh conditions for domestic airlines, can no longer act as recklessly as they did in the past.

Because Yan State has its own powerful weapon - domestically produced large aircraft.

This gives domestic airlines more confidence and greater voice in their competition with foreign manufacturers, allowing them to deal with various complex situations more calmly.

If the subsequent 077 Mechanical Military Factory can continue its efforts and develop more powerful large aircraft with better performance and more advanced technology, the challenges faced by several major foreign aircraft manufacturers will become more severe.

By then, the global aviation market landscape may be completely rewritten, and China’s aviation industry will stand tall in the world with a new look.

”Tsk? What’s so great about it? It’s just a big plane. It’s a big plane with outdated construction technology. What’s the use of it? I don’t want this kind of thing!”

Eagle Sauce: Once Yan Country successfully owns its own large aircraft, they will definitely use this as a basis to develop airborne early warning aircraft.

This will greatly enhance their military power in the air domain, which is not a good thing for us. We must find a way to intervene.

Mao Xiong: The threat posed by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory cannot be underestimated. If it is allowed to develop for a few more years, the military strength of Yan Country will be greatly enhanced, and by then the situation may become difficult to control.

White Elephant Country: Don’t believe in rumors, don’t spread rumors! Although Yan Country has the ability to build large aircraft, it doesn’t mean that they must have the corresponding technology to build airborne early warning aircraft. Want to build an early warning aircraft? It will take another ten years!
Han Guo: Smecta! In my opinion, Yan Guo’s 077 Mechanical Military Factory is definitely stealing our country’s advanced technology, otherwise how could it achieve such results so quickly?

Countries around the world have taken action.

……

McDonnell Douglas Company (Yanguo Branch)
Monte Brooke sat at his desk with a gloomy face, his strong hands tightly holding a newspaper as if he was going to crumple it.

On the main page of the newspaper was a high-definition picture of an enormous Y-10 aircraft. Its huge wings and smooth fuselage lines were particularly eye-catching.

Next to this stunning picture is a text report detailing the performance, features, and development history of the Y-10 aircraft.

At this moment, Monte Brook’s heart was like a raging storm, and it was difficult to calm down. He even felt a surge of uncontrollable anger.

He never imagined that the Y-10 aircraft, which was once on the verge of extinction, would be able to be reborn from the ashes like a phoenix.

This large aircraft, which is regarded as the national pride of Yan State, has now been successfully built, and five of them have been delivered to Sichuan Airlines for actual operation.

For a long time, Monte Brook has always regarded the vast large aircraft market in Yan Country as the ”private territory” of their own McDonnell Douglas Company.

Here, they launched fierce competition with other large aircraft manufacturing giants from all over the world. In order to consolidate its position in this market, McDonnell Douglas spared no expense and reached a cooperation agreement with related companies in Shanghai, and the two sides jointly established a joint venture company.

This so-called joint venture is a simple assembly plant.

At this moment, Monte Brook’s heart was full of regret, and he was also extremely angry about the current situation.

He couldn’t help but wonder: Why didn’t he take decisive action to completely kill this potential competitor when the Y-10 aircraft project team was still under his control?

Now that the Y-10 aircraft has risen, it will become an extremely tough nut to crack and a strong competitor for McDonnell Douglas in its development path in the Yan country market.

Then, Monte Brook clenched his fists tightly, trying hard to suppress the rage burning in his heart.

He took a few deep breaths and tried to calm himself down. Then he turned to look at the assistant who was standing respectfully beside him and said in a low voice with unquestionable dignity: ”Go, invite Lucio Deco over to me. Tell him that I have something important to discuss with him.”

Time passed by minute by minute, and it seemed like a century had passed.

A burst of hurried footsteps came from far away, and then the office door was pushed open, and Lucio Deco walked in sweating and panting.

Monte Brook’s originally tense face relaxed a little the moment he saw Lucio Deco, and the corners of his mouth finally managed to force out a barely perceptible smile.

”Lucio, come, come here and sit down!” Monte Brook said as he took a few steps forward enthusiastically and stretched out his hand in a welcoming gesture.

”President Brooke!”

Lucio Deco quickly took two steps to Monte Brook, bowed to him respectfully, and greeted him in a respectful voice.

At this time, the assistant also came over quickly with two cups of steaming coffee. After placing them gently on the table, he turned around and left the room very tactfully, closing the door behind him.

Lucio Deco first thanked him politely, then picked up one of the cups of coffee and took a sip carefully.

The rich and mellow taste instantly spread in his mouth, but at this moment he obviously had no intention of savoring this delicious coffee.

After putting down the cup, he looked up at Mont Brook, his eyes firm and eager, and asked: ”President Brook, may I ask why you specifically called me here this time?”

Mont Brook did not answer immediately, but sighed deeply.

He slowly raised his hand, picked up the crumpled newspaper on the table, and handed it to Lucio Deco.

Lucio Deco took the newspaper in confusion. When he saw the contents clearly, his face turned pale instantly and a layer of fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

”hiss!”

Lucio Deco gasped, then stood up with a look of guilt and fear on his face. He bowed repeatedly to Monte Brook and kept saying, ”President Brook, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault.”
