Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe

Adam jumped from the floating ice boulder, then canceled his spell, causing the Magus Hands to disappear and the boulder to plunge into the ocean.

A moment later, a strong gust of wind blew, heralding the arrival of the elf with ash-blond hair and silver eyes.

The elf’s white robes fluttered in the wind as he stood beside the raven-haired youth. His eyes were cold, and his expression indifferent.

His blades were drenched in the blood of his enemies, causing Malcolm and the other necromancers’ expressions to turn grave.

Nylian Feno calmly looked at the three cultists. Needless to say, their states weren’t the best.

Then, he turned to Adam. Although the youth was unharmed, Nylian noticed that his breathing was slightly strained.

”You have done well, Adam,” said the elf sincerely, his voice calm and gentle. He then thought of something and added, ”Despite being the same rank as me, you are still my junior from Saratoga, so don’t expect me to address you as Lord.”

Adam couldn’t help but chuckle at that remark. ”Of course, Lord Feno. As you’ve said, you are my senior from Saratoga, so I also won’t be calling you by your first name.”

”Hmph! Cheeky brat,” the elf muttered under his breath.

He turned his attention towards the three Cultists and pointed his blade at them, ”Scum from the Cult! You couldn’t even take on a child. Yet, you dare stand tall before me?”

”You arrogant bastard!” Malcolm growled.

However, he couldn’t come up with a retort to the elf’s statement. It was as he had said. Despite fighting for so long, they still hadn’t managed to harm a hair on Adam’s body.

If anything, it was the exact opposite!

Damn it! He thought angrily.

This is turning worse by the second! It’s all because that bastard managed to restrain the golem at the bottom of the sea…

Otherwise, we would have long since dealt with him!

His eyes narrowed, his gaze lingering on Nylian Feno.

And him being here means not only Malak, but even Barnabas Booth is dead! Damn it!

Right at that moment, Adam turned to the elf and asked, ”Lord Feno, how do you wish to proceed? Should we divide the enemies? You take half and I take half?”

Nylian was silent for a moment before asking a question of his own. ”A few minutes ago, I sensed an extremely hostile and deathly aura from this place. But now… it’s not here.”

”Yes, it was a Rank 3 undead creature.” Adam nodded. ”A flesh golem made from the corpses of several Mana Vortex Magi.”

Then, he pointed at the bottom of the sea. ”I’ve managed to restrain it there. Truth be told, I believe that is the reason I’ve been able to go toe to toe with these cultists till now. That golem, after all, is extremely durable and can tank rank 3 spells without batting an eyelid.”

”Is it still alive?” Nylian asked with narrowed eyes.

Adam nodded, casting his vigilant gaze towards his enemies. ”I can feel it struggling to get free.” He paused for a moment before adding solemnly, ”I fear it’s only a matter of time before it emerges again. Would you like to take care of that thing instead?”

Nylian thought for a brief moment before nodding. ”Very well. Leave the golem to me. I trust you can handle these three?”

”You bastards!” Malcolm roared in absolute fury. ”How much are you going to keep looking down on us—”

SPLASH!!!

Adam didn’t even give the man the chance to finish his words as he stretched his hand and summoned his weapon.

Under the stunned gaze of Nylian Feno, a towering black pillar more than a hundred meters in height shot out from the depths of the sea, its body glimmering under the rays of the morning sun.

Adam’s lips parted and he coldly muttered in snake tongue, ”Shrink.”

Under the bewildered gazes of everyone present, the towering pillar shrank from a hundred meters to slightly less than three meters as it flew straight into Adam’s grip.

The youth spun the staff in his hand and, without hesitating a moment longer, dashed towards Malcolm and the two cultists, leaving behind his parting words for his ally.

”Lord Feno, I shall leave the golem to you.”

Nylian saw the raven-haired youth bravely charge towards his enemies. There was no fear in his eyes whatsoever.

Seeing such a display, he couldn’t help but come to admire him.

Earlier, he had conflicting feelings towards Adam, given that the youth had manipulated his daughter into attending the Duskfall Masquerade for selfish reasons.

Although he had put his precious daughter’s life in danger by taking her there in the first place, he had also made sure to protect her from any harm.

Thus, the reason for his conflicting emotions.

But now that he saw him fearlessly battling the enemies of Ravenfell with all his might, he had come to finally respect him.

Not just that, but the fact that Adam had become a Mana Vortex Magus before the age of thirty-five was already enough to commend his abilities.

People called him the Prodigy of Saratoga, when in fact, the real prodigy was right before his eyes.

His lips curled into a faint smile as he shook his head, ”No, labeling you with the word ’prodigy’ would be an injustice. You are something… far greater.”

Nylian’s expression gradually turned solemn as he shifted his attention to another part of the sea.

His eyes narrowed when he sensed a terrifying and powerful presence making its way up to the surface at great speed.

Yes, this is a strong one, he thought, his eyes flickering with excitement for a bloody battle.

Within moments, the grotesque aberration emerged from the depths of the water, its expression filled with rage and madness.

ROAARRR!!!

The golem was furious after being restrained at the bottom of the sea for so long, without being able to do anything to free himself.

He looked around with his bloodshot eyes, searching for the culprit. Then, his gaze finally landed on Adam, who was swinging his staff around and battling the three cultists.

The golem let out another bestial roar before bolting in that direction, aiming to brutally kill the youth.

However, he had only taken a couple of steps forward when his eyes suddenly narrowed, and he noticed a cold blade arrive at his throat, dangerously close to cleaving his head from his body.

The attack had arrived so suddenly that the golem hadn’t even realized it.

Then, came the ominous words as if spoken by the death reaper himself.

”Allow me to kill you a second time.”
