Chapter 54 Ellie's True Identity! What choice should Joel make?

”what happened?”

Joel looks back.

”See for yourself” Tess threw over a handheld instrument that looked like a temperature measuring machine.

It shows Ellie’s measurement results just now [infected]

”Damn it!” Joel scolded, ”Damn it, Marlene deliberately framed us?”

”Let’s transport an infected girl?”

The two looked at Ellie, and Ellie kept shaking her head and said in a crying voice.

”I’m not infected, I’m not infected.”

”No?” Joel raised the instrument, ”Could it be fake?”

After speaking, he threw the instrument to Ellie angrily.

”I can explain, you listen to me explain.”

Ellie said in panic.

”Then you’d better explain quickly.” Tess stepped forward, and the pistol was already aimed at Ellie.

Chen Yingying yelled, ”Fuck, what’s going on, brothers, my palms are already sweating, why is this plot not going as I imagined.”

”Hey! Lao Li, that bastard, wants to kill someone again?”

”Is my language wrong again?”

”Will Ellie be infected and infect my wife Tess?”

”In addition to the pictures, Naughty Cat is really awesome in terms of plot!”

…………

”Look at my wrist.” Ellie rolled up the sleeve of her right hand.

A scar the size of a coin after being bitten on the arm was exposed.

Joelton said impatiently, ”I don’t care how you got infected.”

Ellie said eagerly: ”This is the wound I was bitten three weeks ago.”

”Impossible, every infected person will mutate within two days.” Tess denied.

”Don’t let him talk nonsense.”

”It’s been three weeks. Think about it, why did Marlene frame you? She has no reason to frame you.”

Joel and Tess looked at each other, as if they felt that there was really no reason to frame themselves.

Tess puts down the pistol, and Joel turns around and says ”I don’t believe what she said.”

Suddenly, two beams of white lights shot over the open space in front of Joel.

Immediately there was the roar of the engine of the vehicle.

”Quick, run! The reinforcements are here.”

Tess pulled Ellie up and ran in one direction.

Chen Yingying followed closely behind.

A soldier behind him shouted loudly: ”There are two casualties in District 12, please help.”

”Repeat, there are two casualties in District 12, please support.”

”Quick! Keep up!” Tess called from ahead.

At this time, the rain was getting heavier, and the rain was cold and painful on the face.

”Fuck, do you want the game to be so realistic? The rain has blurred my eyes.”

Chen Yingying complained.

Shuiyou: ”Sister Chen, stop complaining, run, the soldiers behind are chasing you in armored vehicles!”

”Yes, at that moment just now, I saw a Gatling on the roof of the car.”

”Fuck, sister Chen, you are in danger.”

”Brothers, put the public screen on Kuaipao.”

…………

Running all the way, jumping off the broken road.

Head down through the thick exposed drainpipes.

Drilled into the underground drainage pipe again.

There are white spotlights sweeping back and forth overhead.

Chen Yingying’s heart was extremely nervous, and the bullet screen kept telling her what happened next, which undoubtedly added to the sense of urgency.

With the sewers dead ahead, Tess climbed up to the ground.

A broken tank stopped on the side of the road, blocking the figures of several people.

You can see a lot of soldiers holding flashlights in front of them and searching for them. The white light of the flashlights penetrates the rain and fog, making it easy for people to find the soldiers’ positions.

”Follow me carefully, don’t disturb them.” Tess said in a low voice.

”Okay!” Chen Yingying replied.

Ellie followed the two closely at this time, walking between them.

Although the heavy rain affected the line of sight, it also provided excellent conditions for several people to hide their figures.

”Brothers, what do you think of Ellie’s situation?”

Chen Yingying felt a little nervous, so she casually said a few words to ease the excitement of being discovered all the time.

”This is very simple. Judging from my years of experience in reading mystery novels, Ellie is infected.”

”Fuck, brother in front, your explanation is too awesome.”

”The last time I saw such a powerful analysis was the last time.”

”Oh, I didn’t think of it either. Anyone who is too big will give me an analysis.”

”Obviously, Ellie was infected, but she didn’t mutate. What does this mean? It means that Ellie won’t mutate.”

”Okay, okay! All the great gods, please accept the supernatural powers, I really can’t stand it.”

”It’s too awesome, all of him is nonsense, none of it is useful.”

…………

Fortunately, Chen Yingying completely followed Tess’ instructions this time, carefully avoiding the sight of the soldiers.

The three passed through many searches without any risk.

Finally passed through the sewer, listening to the roar of the car going away.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Tess looked at Ellie and asked softly:

”Now you can tell us the plan, we send you to Firefly, and then what will happen?”

Ellie thought for a while and said, ”Marlene said that outside, they have their own isolation base, and then there are doctors and so on. They are looking for ways to treat infected people.”

”Hehe!” Joel sneered.

”We have heard too many such words before, what treatment, what plan, fake, useless, useless...”

”But...” Allie continued:
”Everything that happens to me, no matter how it happened”

”Marlene says that’s the key to finding a cure.”

”It doesn’t make any sense, it’s an idiot’s dream.” Joel denied.

He looked at Tess ”What are we doing here? Waste of time, should we continue?”

Tess seemed to be moved by Ellie’s words, she met Joel’s gaze: ”What if what she said is true?”

”Look outside, what do we need to face? So many soldiers chasing after us!”

”I know, I’m willing to give it a try.” Tess said, her tone was determined.

Turn around and leave after speaking, hurry up.

”Go this way, let’s hurry up and reach the Parliament Building before sunrise.”

”Oh!” Joel sighed, and followed Tess’ figure.

Chen Yingying exclaimed: ”Brothers, I know. It turns out that Ellie will not mutate after being infected, so she is the key to treating the infection.”

”Sister Chen, didn’t you repeat what Ellie said?”

”Oh, it’s tiring to see you people speculating.”

”I’m sure it will be Tess and Joel escorting Ellie.”

”Am I the only one paying attention to this post-apocalyptic city scene? Didn’t you notice?”

…………

Hear the last barrage.

Only now did Chen Yingying have time to look around.

The sky was still gray, and at this moment they were under the riverbed of a small bridge. Of course, the river had dried up before, and now there were broken-down cars scattered in twos and threes.

The ground here is not like the ground just out of the city is full of mud, here grows clusters of green grass.

There are also dots of white flowers dotted among them.

Looking upwards, two high-rise buildings with hundreds of floors toppled over each other, forming a man-made line of sky.

The lower floors of the building were covered with dense dark green vines.
