Chapter 167 Run away?

Chapter 167 Run away?

Before the third-order beast could react, what happened.

Countless arrows fell suddenly like a violent storm.

The sharp arrows pierced into the bodies of the beasts, making them subconsciously let out miserable wailing sounds.

”Ouch-”

Seeing this scene, the Bronze Lion finally understood.

Those humans on the city wall have already discovered them and arranged defenses in advance!

Cunning humans!
The bronze lion let out an angry roar, looked at the other beasts, and said loudly: ”Attack! The first one to climb the city wall will be rewarded!”

If an alien beast wants to evolve, in addition to constantly honing its combat skills, it must also hunt other alien beasts and obtain energy from the bodies of other alien beasts.

And the fifth-order alien beasts appeared, bringing with them energy cores they had never seen before.

An ordinary energy core can raise a Tier [-] beast to Tier [-].

The so-called reward refers to this energy core.

When the rest of the beasts heard the word ”big reward”, their eyes turned red instantly.

One by one, they all rushed towards the city wall like crazy.

”Roar--”

Naturally, the bronze lion was unwilling to lag behind and rushed forward.

what they don’t notice is
Beside them, several strange beasts had fallen to the ground because of being hit by crossbow arrows, and they couldn’t even stand up!
”Good guy, you dare to go up, these strange beasts are really not afraid of death!”

Qian Hao looked at the charging alien beast, instead of panicking, he seemed very happy instead.

There are city walls and epic crossbows.

There are dozens of third-level strange beasts, so don’t worry about them yet.

It is no exaggeration to say that as many as these guys come and kill!

Qian Hao raised his hand and shouted: ”Get ready for the second round of volley! Fire!”

One command.

Eighty warriors armed with epic crossbows pulled the trigger.

Arrows with a cold light flew towards the sky, and then fell suddenly, forming a rain of swords in an instant.

This time, the distance between the alien beast and the city wall became closer.

The falling arrows are also more powerful.

Most of them plunged directly into the body of the strange beast.

”Ouch-”

There was another miserable wail.

In less than ten seconds.

More than a dozen strange beasts fell on the way to charge, unable to stand up again.

At this moment, the Bronze Lion also discovered an abnormality.

”No! This group of humans are weird!”

”Why are these arrows so sharp!”

This is not the first time the Bronze Lion has attacked a human city.

This is not the first time I have encountered a weapon like a crossbow.

The crossbows used by humans before could not cause any damage to them at all.

Unless it is particularly unlucky, if you get an arrow in the eye, you may lose your combat effectiveness.

In other cases, it has no effect at all.

but
The humans I met this time didn’t know what kind of crossbow they were using, and the arrows they shot could knock down their companions in an instant.

Obviously, this is unreasonable!

Not only the Bronze Lion, but other strange beasts also noticed this and slowed down.

They are still a certain distance from the city wall.

If he wanted to rush under the city wall, he would have to endure at least three rounds of arrow rain.

A round of arrow rain, they will fall more than a dozen people.

According to this calculation, when they rushed under the city wall, there would be very few of them left.
Obviously, these humans in front of them are not easy to mess with!
With only a few of them, they can’t deal with it at all!
A strange beast looked at the city wall that was close at hand and seemed to be far away in the sky, and couldn’t help but said: ”These humans are much more powerful than imagined! Let’s retreat!”

”The only way we can stay is to die!”

While slowing down their running pace, several strange beasts looked at the bronze lion, wanting to wait for it to speak.

The bronze lion still hesitated.

It was getting closer and closer to the city wall. It always felt a little unwilling to give up at this time.

Just now.

The sound of ”咻咻咻” sounded.

The third round of arrow rain fell.

Undoubtedly, this time, nearly ten more strange beasts fell to the ground.

”Let’s withdraw! It will be too late if we don’t withdraw!”

”Those humans are too powerful, we can’t defeat them!”

”They haven’t shown up yet, we’re all going to die!”

Seeing this scene, the rest of the beasts were all anxious, and all of them panicked.

The bronze lion looked around for a week and suddenly found out.

There were less than [-] strange beasts that were still charging with him!

Finally, it stopped hesitating and ordered: ”Withdraw!”

Seeing that the bronze lion finally let go.

The rest of the beasts breathed a sigh of relief, no longer charged forward, but turned around and ran with all their strength.

Want to escape from this deadly place!

”It ran away?”

On the city wall, Qian Hao was a little confused when he saw the strange beasts changing directions.

He really didn’t expect it.

These strange beasts were so timid, they turned around and ran away after losing less than half of them.

But think about it.

In a normal war, one-third of the casualties are generally lost, and the rest may flee.

It’s not easy for these strange beasts to run after breaking half of them.

”Run away now? I haven’t cummed enough yet!”

”Why didn’t I see it before? These strange beasts are all cowards!”

”That’s right, a group of guys who besieged the city ran away without even touching the city wall. It’s ridiculous!”

When everyone saw this scene, they were a little disappointed and began to discuss.

”Ham, I thought I could shoot a strange beast in the head, but now it seems hopeless.”

”It’s all salvo, my shooting skills are useless at all!”

Many people seemed a little regretful.

Someone looked eager to try, looked at Qian Hao, and asked, ”Instructor, do we want to catch up?”

Qian Hao glared at the man, and said angrily: ”You think you can still be as calm as you are now when you leave the city?”

”We are all here to watch. If those strange beasts dare to come back, shoot them without mercy and don’t let any of them escape!”

”understand!”

Everyone clenched the crossbow in their hands and looked forward again.

Qian Hao opened the survival manual and sent a message to Su Ming.

”Boss, those strange beasts wanted to attack the city, but we repelled them.”

After a pause, he added: ”No accident, I should have escaped.”

Su Ming received the news and asked, ”How many escaped?”

Qian Hao thought for a while and replied: ”There should be half of them, more than 30.”

More than 30?

So, Qian Hao and the others shot and killed nearly half of the Tier [-] beasts?

Su Ming said: ”I didn’t expect you to keep so many strange beasts. You did a good job. Don’t worry about them if they escape. You pick some people to go back to rest, and wait until dawn to replace them.”

”understand!”

Qian Hao was originally worried about letting go of more than 30 strange beasts, but when he heard the city lord complimenting him, he couldn’t help but smile.

Su Ming turned off the survival manual, stood up, looked at the busy people, and asked, ”How many other beasts have not been dealt with?”

Someone roughly counted them and replied: ”My lord, there are several hundred more!”

Hundreds of them.
Su Ming looked around for a week, with a pensive look on his face.

With so much meat, it is enough to eat for several years.

Why not sell some and exchange for materials?
