Tech Giants: Starting from Bankrupt Companies

22: Chapter 22: At the Pinnacle of a Hundred BillionAs May drew to a close, the 2016 capital market went completely insane because of one company.

The K-line chart of Spark Technology was no longer a simple upward curve, but a brilliant trajectory that was almost vertical, piercing through all traditional valuation models and market imagination.

The news of reaching deep strategic cooperation with the two industry giants, Huawei and Geely, was like two giant boosters ignited one after another, injecting immeasurable momentum into this trajectory.

This was no longer the success of a single product, but the market’s ultimate vote for Spark Technology’s platform strategy and technological monopoly.

Immediately afterward, many well-known domestic and international consumer electronics brands, outdoor power companies, and even some low-key industrial equipment manufacturers publicly expressed their intention to cooperate with Spark Technology or released procurement announcements, further confirming that the ”spark super energy” battery had become an unavoidable strategic node in multiple industrial chains.

The reaction of the capital market was the most direct and the most fanatical.

Inside the strategic command center at Spark Technology headquarters, which overlooked the entire technology park, the atmosphere was solemn and tense.

On the giant screen, it was no longer complex technical blueprints or strategic maps, but the time-sharing chart of Spark Technology’s stock price, burning like a flame.

Su Chen, Shen Nanpeng, Lin Wan, and the core management team members stood quietly in front of the screen, everyone’s eyes focused on that constantly jumping number.

99.58 yuan... 99.71 yuan... 99.85 yuan... 99.93 yuan...

Every tiny jump tugged at the heartstrings of countless people.

The trading volume expanded crazily, and the buy orders, like an inexhaustible torrent, instantly swallowed all the tiny sell orders above.

99.98 yuan... 99.99 yuan...

Time seemed to freeze at this moment.

100.00 yuan!

When this number, which symbolized the dreams and fears of countless capital, finally and firmly settled at the top of the screen, the command center fell into a brief, near-vacuum silence.

Immediately, someone couldn’t help but let out a low cheer, and this sound was like the fuse that ignited a powder keg, instantly exploding everyone’s long-suppressed emotions!

”100! It broke 100!” Shen Nanpeng could no longer maintain his usual calm and restrained CFO image.

He punched the air, his face flushed with excitement.

As the core operator of capital operations, he knew better than anyone what this number meant—this was not just an integer threshold for the stock price, but a symbol, the threshold of a new era!

Lin Wan gently covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes instantly moistening.

She remembered less than a year and a half ago, when Su Chen stood in that dilapidated office, facing thirty-some desperate faces.

From only 480,000 left in the account to the current market value... She even needed Shen Nanpeng to quickly report that number to confirm it wasn’t a dream.

”Total share capital of 1 billion shares, stock price of 100 yuan... Boss Su, everyone! Spark Technology’s market value has exceeded 100 billion!” Shen Nanpeng’s voice trembled slightly, but it clearly spread throughout the room.

One hundred billion!

From being on the verge of delisting at the beginning of the year with a market value of less than one billion, to standing firmly among the 100-billion giants today, Spark Technology only took a little over a year!

This was not only a miracle in the history of the A-share market but also an extremely rare growth speed in global business history!

Su Chen stood in the center of the crowd.

He did not cheer and jump like the others, but quietly gazed at the bright red ”100.00” on the screen.

His chest rose and fell slightly, and in his deep eyes, that string of numbers that changed his destiny and the destiny of countless others was reflected.

An indescribable and complex emotion surged in his heart—there was the joy of success, the release of pressure, but more than that, it was a kind of sobriety and weight that came with standing at a brand-new height.

A 100-billion market value was a crown of glory, but also the beginning of an even greater responsibility.

The carnival of capital needed a rational footnote.

Almost at the same time the stock price broke 100 billion, Zhang Yi, the most influential gold-medal analyst in the country from ”Jinrui Securities,” released an in-depth research report known in the industry as a ”defining masterpiece.”

The title of the research report was: [”Spark Technology: From Technological Monopoly to Platform Empire, Opening a New Era for the Trillion-Dollar Energy Track”].

The report stated: ”...Spark Technology’s 100-billion market value is by no means a bubble.

Its foundation lies in three unshakable core logics:

First, technological monopoly: Its low-cost graphene preparation technology and ’spark super energy’ battery performance constitute a technological generation gap of at least 3-5 years, forming an extremely deep moat.

Second, platform strategy: Through deep binding with leaders like Huawei and Geely, Spark has successfully transformed from a product company into a platform company, mastering the energy entry points of the two core tracks of consumer electronics and new energy vehicles.

Its business model has upgraded from ’selling products’ to ’selling standards’ and ’selling ecosystems.’

Third, unlimited market potential: The consumer electronics battery, automotive starter battery, outdoor energy storage, and even future power battery markets it has entered are all vast blue oceans on the scale of 100 billion or even trillions.

A 100-billion market value is merely the starting point of this great journey.

We maintain a ’Strongly Recommend’ rating and look forward to a target price of 150 yuan!”

This research report was like a reassurance, and even more so a bugle call, further consolidating market consensus and pushing the stock price to continue moving steadily above the 100-yuan mark.

The media spotlight had never been so intense.

”Financial Headlines” simultaneously published a long, in-depth report on its website and newspaper front page, with a highly impactful title: [”One Year and a Half, From ST to a 100-Billion Giant: The Speed and Passion of Spark Technology”].

The article detailed every key decision Su Chen made after taking over the company: decisively releasing xinghuo no. 1, toughly responding to Lingyun’s sniper attack, swiftly laying out the industrial chain, accurately releasing xinghuo no. 2 and Lingmou 1, until finally completing the platform transition with the earth-shattering ”spark super energy” battery.

The article described Su Chen as an ”all-around business prodigy with technical vision, commercial courage, and capital operation ability,” and believed that Spark Technology’s rise path ”redefined the growth speed of high-tech companies.”

And in thousands of ordinary families, this capital myth was changing lives in the most simple way.

Old Zhang, a retired middle school teacher, was also one of the earliest shareholders of Spark Technology.

When Spark Technology’s stock price was still hovering around 1 yuan, he bought more than 30,000 shares with his 50,000 yuan of saved pension, holding the mindset of ”supporting a local company; if I lose it, I’ll just consider it money thrown into water.”

Since then, he had experienced the surprise of ST being removed, the anxiety of stock price fluctuations, but due to an inexplicable trust in this young man Su Chen and a good impression of the product, he never sold.

At this moment, he was wearing reading glasses, his fingers trembling, refreshing the stock software on his phone over and over again.

When the ”3,250,000.00” yuan was clearly displayed behind the ”100.00” holding market value, he was stunned, then took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes vigorously.

”Wife... Wife!” His voice was choked with disbelief, ”Our... our 50,000 yuan... has become... 3.25 million?!”

His wife ran out of the kitchen, and seeing Old Zhang, who couldn’t control his excitement, and the numbers on the phone, she was also stunned.

Old Zhang tightly held his wife’s hand, and tears finally couldn’t help but fall.

This was not a simple number game; this meant they could have an incredibly stable and prosperous old age, and could give their children better support.

In the stock forum he often visited, he typed a line with trembling hands: ”Thank you, Boss Su! Thank you, Spark! One and a half years, 50,000 became 3.25 million. This is the most correct decision of my life!”

This post was instantly pushed into a hot post by countless replies of ”soaking up the good luck” and ”long live Spark.”

In the stock forum, it was already an ocean of joy, and ”Spark Faith” became the most popular term.

The pinnacle of 100 billion was infinitely beautiful.

But Su Chen knew very well that the higher one stood, the stronger the wind.

The 100-billion market value laid an indestructible value foundation for the company’s subsequent large-scale financing and mergers and acquisitions, but it also pushed him and the Spark empire he created with his own hands to a higher cusp of the storm.

Enemies in the dark would not give up, competitors in the open were chasing crazily, and even more stringent scrutiny and expectations from all sides would follow one after another.

He turned around, left the screen that was still shining with brilliant numbers, and said calmly to Shen Nanpeng and Lin Wan beside him: ”Notify everyone, half an hour later, all management at the director level and above will have a meeting.

100 billion is just a new starting point.

We need to discuss where the next 100 billion will come from.”

His gaze had already looked toward a more distant future.
