I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 244: A Way to Shut Ji Qingyan Up

“Forget it. I’m a strong person. I’m really afraid of hurting you.”

“Er… It’s okay if it hurts. I’ll just endure it. I can take it,” Zheng Yawen said.

“Alright, stop fooling around.”

Chen Jianye said, “From now on, Teacher Lin will be in charge of your taekwondo class.”

Jianye left dejectedly after a few simple reminders.

!!
He didn’t have the face to stay here anymore.

Lin Yi followed the lesson plan for the rest of the class, saving himself a lot of energy.

However, there were a few girls who were harder to deal with. They kept saying that they wanted to practice grappling with him, that they weren’t afraid of pain, and that they would definitely be able to endure it.

This gave Lin Yi a huge headache.

Lin Yi was even more tired than he was after the game of basketball.

The bell soon rang, but before Lin Yi could leave the gym, his phone rang.

It was a call from Ji Qingyan.

“Teacher Lin, it should be time for the end of your class, right?”Ji Qingyan said sweetly.

“How did you know that I would finish class at this time?”

“The second period at university ends at this time.”Ji Qingyan said with a smile. “I’ve already prepared the materials for you. Come and cook.”

“Great CEO Ji, such a big company is waiting for you to manage it, yet you don’t do anything important. You play with the food in the kitchen every day. Aren’t you afraid that your performance will decline?”

“I’m not afraid.” Ji Qingyan said matter-of-factly, “If business is not good, Teacher Lin will give me a few projects and my performance will bounce back up.”

“Who would dare to hand over their business to an unreliable partner like you?”

“Hmphh, if you don’t give it to me, I’ll bite you.”

“You can bite me, but don’t bite it hard.”

“Huh? What do you mean, don’t bite it hard?”

“Read it separately.”

“Read it separately?”Ji Qingyan muttered to herself.

“Bite… read it separately then… Lin Yi! You’re teasing me again… Beep Beep Beep…”

Lin Yi hung up before Ji Qingyan could finish.

He’d just arrived at the parking lot, and Sugar called before he could put on his seatbelt.

“The food at the cafeteria is pretty good today. What do you want to eat? I’ll treat you.”

“I have something to do at noon, so I won’t be eating at school. You don’t have to buy anything for me,” Lin Yi said.

“Alright then. I’ll buy it for you another day, but you can’t be angry. You still have to play games with me next time,” Sugar said in a low voice.

“Listen to my advice. With your IQ, you should say goodbye to games and play something else.”

“Play what?”

“Play with yourself.”

…

Twenty minutes later, Lin Yi drove to Chaoyang Group.

He pushed open the office door and found her looking at him with a smile.

“Mr. Lin is too punctual. It’s exactly twelve o’clock, right on time.”

“I was afraid you’d starve to death in the office, so I came here in a hurry.”

“I’m not that useless.”

Ji Qingyan walked out from her desk excitedly. “Come, come, come, I want to show you something.”

“What is it that’s so mysterious?”

“A surprise gift bag.” Ji Qingyan pushed Lin Yi to the door of her fitting room. “Quick, close your eyes.”

“What are you doing? Why do I still have to close my eyes?”

“Be good, it’ll be all good in a while.”

Lin Yi rubbed his chin. That didn’t sound right.

Lin Yi closed his eyes and Ji Qingyan opened the door of the fitting room with a creak.

“Alright, open your eyes.”

What greeted his eyes was a dazzling array of clothes, accessories, and high heels of different styles.

“The mysterious gift you mentioned, is it the stockings you just changed out of?”

“Uh… not this one. I just changed out of it this morning and forgot to put it away.”Ji Qingyan was a little embarrassed. “Can you focus on something else? Didn’t you find anything else?”

“The mysterious gift you mentioned should be the sneakers on the ground, right?”

“Yes, yes.” Ji Qingyan smiled. “From Air Jordan 1’s to 14’s, I also bought a pair for you to wear when you’re in basketball class.”

She took out two more Lebron James jerseys from the fitting room.

“And these, I think they’ll look good on you.”

Lin Yi didn’t think that she’d be so diligent. She’d bought all these things after learning that he was now a basketball teacher.

“It’s such a waste to buy so much at once.”

“It’s not a waste, it’s not my money.” Qingyan said.

“Did you use the money of other suitors to buy me clothes and sneakers? Not bad, not bad, you sure know how to live.”

“Pfft, I’m not that thick-skinned.” Qingyan said. “I bought it with the money from the dock, so it’s on you.”

Lin Yi laughed. “I’m really impressed by your operation.”

“Hehe…”

Ji Qingyan smiled proudly like a beautiful rose.

“Lin Yi, I bought you the sneakers and jerseys, now isn’t it time to cook? I’ve been running around all morning and I’m starving.”

“Okay, wait here.”

“Okay.”

Lin Yi went to the kitchen. He found that the prep work was done and he just needed to cook.

Judging from the shape of the dishes, Ji Qingyan’s knife skills had improved a lot. At the very least, the pieces were evenly sized.

Just as Lin Yi was about to cook the first dish, Ji Qingyan walked in from outside.

“Deng deng deng, check out what I’m wearing.”

Lin Yi turned around and saw that Ji Qingyan had changed into a new outfit. She had changed out of her uniform and into a pair of denim shorts, but with a Kobe jersey on top.

However, because the jersey was oversized, it covered the denim shorts completely, giving people the illusion that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.

Apart from that, the black and red AJs 14 on her feet were the finishing touch to the whole outfit.

“Not bad,” Lin Yi said.

“How is it not bad? Give me a compliment.”

“Nice legs. Long, white, and straight.”

She rolled her eyes at Lin Yi. “Would you like it better if I wore black silk?”

“President Ji knows me so well.”

“Know you, my *ss. Hurry up and cook, I’m starving.”

As she spoke, she didn’t forget to go to the fridge and take out some mango juice.

Twenty minutes later, Lin Yi brought out four dishes and a soup and placed them on the coffee table.

Ji Qingyan had a great appetite, but she had no idea which one to start with as she bit the chopsticks.

“Hurry up and eat. Weren’t you starving to death?”

“I am hungry, but every dish looks delicious. I don’t know what to eat.” Ji Qingyan whispered, “Let me tell you a secret.”

“What secret?”

“I secretly measured my weight today, and I’ve gained five pounds.” Ji Qingyan held the chopsticks in her mouth like a deflated ball. “I wanted to lose weight, but when I see your dishes, I lose my motivation.”

“I have a way to make you shut up so you can lose weight.”
