Chapter 410 Dealing with Marquis Martial Yang

At night, Meng Chuan and his wife ate dinner. “Ah Chuan, there are two letters.” Liu Qiyue placed the letters on the table. “They are for you.”

The two letters were not opened. In fact, for an avian envoy to give Liu Qiyue the letters directly meant that it wasn’t that important. If it was a top-secret letter, Meng Chuan would definitely have to receive it personally.

“Two letters?” Meng Chuan looked at them in surprise. “One is a letter sent from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven, and the other is a letter sent through the Demon Annihilation Guild? I wonder who sent the letter through the Demon Annihilation Guild.”

As the fourth strongest faction in the human world, the Demon Annihilation Guild wouldn’t easily send letters to Meng Chuan. One had to be a member of the Demon Annihilation Guild before they had the qualifications to do so. If they were mortal Demon Annihilation Guild members, they would need to pay 50,000 taels of silver to have them send a letter to Meng Chuan.

If they were Demon Annihilation Guild Godfiends, they would need to pay 5,000 taels of silver to have them send a letter to Meng Chuan. This was because the Demon Annihilation Guild needed to hand the letter to Archean Mountain; it would then be delivered to Meng Chuan. Archean Mountain didn’t want to disturb Meng Chuan randomly. Thus, they had set high requirements on which letters could be sent to Meng Chuan. Therefore, Meng Chuan was very surprised to receive a letter from the Demon Annihilation Guild.

“Black Sand Grotto-Heaven.” Meng Chuan flipped open the envelope he was most concerned about. He read the letter and revealed a look of excitement.

“Has Black Sand Grotto-Heaven answered?” asked Liu Qiyue.

“Yes, they’ve agreed.” Meng Chuan nodded excitedly. “However, they need to do a defense swap if my mom is to leave. Therefore, it has been decided that I’ll head to Black Sand Grotto-Heaven in half a month to bring her back.”

Liu Qiyue was also happy for her husband. “Ah Chuan, the wish you’ve had for years is finally coming true.”

I’ve been waiting for this day for more than 50 years. It’s been too long. The storm of blood had passed. When he parted with his mother, he was still a six-year-old child. Although he was a famous Regis Godfiend, Meng Chuan’s emotions surged. He couldn’t hide his excitement. I believe that Dad will be very happy when he learns of this news.

“Dad is still a Patroller Godfiend,” said Liu Qiyue. “He can’t leave his designated mission area.”

Meng Chuan shook his head and explained, “Right now, the three major sects are planning to reduce the number of patrolling Godfiends. They want the patrolling Godfiends to return home gradually. In half a year, there will be no need for Godfiends to patrol the world.”

“There’s no need for them anymore?” Liu Qiyue was surprised. “Even if you wipe out all the demon monarchs in the world, with so many stable and unstable World Entrances, demons will still occasionally infiltrate the human world. We will still have a need for some forces to patrol the world.”

“The demon monarchs that occasionally enter the human world pose a much lesser threat. Earth Net will also monitor them everywhere they go. Furthermore, I captured some threshold fourth Firmament demon monarchs as demon servants when I was busy conducting underground reconnaissance,” said Meng Chuan with a smile. “These demon servants have been sent to Archean Mountain. Archean Mountain’s demon servant numbers have been greatly boosted. They just need to arrange for a number of demon servants to patrol the world.” These were demon servants that he personally selected from one million demon monarchs. “The large group of powerful demon servants will be of great help to Earth Net,” said Meng Chuan. “Archean Mountain plans to reduce the number of patrolling Godfiends by 500. My father is one of them.”

Meng Chuan opened the second letter. It was the letter that was sent through the Demon Annihilation Guild.

Oh? Meng Chuan looked at the two letters in the envelope in surprise. One was written with blood. It should have been written more than ten years ago. The other letter was recently written.

Chunyu Mu? Meng Chuan read the contents of the letter.

“What’s written in the letter that was sent through the Demon Annihilation Guild?” asked Liu Qiyue.

“Back then, my father was framed for colluding with the Skydemon Sect. Later, Master personally pried into heavenly secrets and traced the karma. Only then did he discover that Chunyu Mu from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven had carried out the deed,” said Meng Chuan.

Liu Qiyue nodded. “You’ve told me about this before. Since we were in different sects, punishing Black Sand Grotto-Heaven disciples isn’t under Archean Mountain’s jurisdiction. Furthermore, the three sects are working together to deal with the demons. It’s not good to execute them directly.”

“Yes.” Meng Chuan nodded. “Now, Chunyu Mu’s son has written a letter to me; there’s also a letter that Chunyu Mu left behind before his death. The two letters confirm one thing… Marquis Martial Yang from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven instigated Chunyu Mu into framing my father.” “Marquis Martial Yang?” Liu Qiyue asked curiously. “He’s a Marquis Godfiend from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven. Since we are Archean Mountain Godfiends, it’s not convenient for us to attack him directly.”

“Back then, when he failed to frame my dad, Black Sand Grotto-Heaven actually found out the truth and punished Marquis Martial Yang. Marquis Martial Yang also vented his anger on the Chunyu family. The Chunyu family has been in a tragic state in recent years. Now that they know that I’ve become a Regis Godfiend, they are immediately telling me about it,” said Meng Chuan. “However, back then, Black Sand Grotto-Heaven didn’t punish Marquis Martial Yang harshly. They clearly weren’t willing to kill one of their Marquis Godfiends because of my dad.

Meng Chuan’s eyes were filled with killing intent. “However, since he attacked my father, I can’t spare him.”

Liu Qiyue thought about it and whispered, “Kill him secretly?”

“My mother is about to return. There’s no need to fall out with them now.” Meng Chuan thought about it and came up with a plan.

“What do you plan on doing?” asked Liu Qiyue.

“You’ll know in a while,” said Meng Chuan with a smile. Meng Chuan naturally had the intention of killing a despicable Godfiend that had tried to harm his father.

The next day.

Bai Yaoyue handed a letter to Meng Tiange and Mi Yu. “Take a look; it’s Meng Chuan’s personal letter.”

“Meng Chuan sent it?”

Meng Tiange and Mi Yu read through the letter once and couldn’t help but look at each other.

“Meng Chuan made it very clear. He found out that Marquis Martial Yang was the person who attempted to frame his father. Marquis Martial Yang was the one who instigated Chunyu Mu,” said Bai Yaoyue.“How should we deal with the matter now that he has found out the truth?” asked Mi Yu. “Logically speaking, one should be sentenced to death if they attacked a Godfiend of the same race during the war. Even if we don’t execute him, we can’t let him off easily. However, Marquis Martial Yang is a Marquis Godfiend of our Black Sand Grotto-Heaven…”

“Meng Chuan’s intentions are very clear,” said Meng Tiange. “He doesn’t want to offend our Black Sand Grotto-Heaven, so he’s allowing us to deal with this matter. However, if we take things lightly and let Marquis Martial Yang off, Meng Chuan will definitely have a knot in his heart even if he doesn’t speak out now. This Meng Chuan has killed over a million demon monarchs, and he has such a strong killing intent. He’s definitely not an indecisive person. When he becomes invincible in the world in the future, I’m afraid he’ll settle scores with us.”

Bai Yaoyue nodded and smiled. “If he was indecisive, he wouldn’t have written this letter. What a cunning punk. He posed a difficult question to us. He wants us to decide if we execute or absolve Marquis Martial Yang of his crimes.”

“Then how should we deal with Marquis Martial Yang?” Mi Yu asked.

“He only has himself to blame for harming a fellow Godfiend,” said Bai Yaoyue coldly. “Summon him back to Black Sand Grotto-Heaven and use illusions to control him. Check if he has colluded with the demons. If he has colluded with the demons, charge him for colluding with the demons and execute him. If he hasn’t colluded with the demons, he will be punished to refine divine armaments at Fire Melting Grotto-Heaven until the day he dies since he harmed a fellow Godfiend.”

Mi Yu and Meng Tiange nodded. The memories of Godfiends that had condensed Essence Souls could not be changed. If news of them forcefully controlling Marquis Martial Yang for interrogation spread, many powerful Godfiends would be disgruntled.

If one had a third-level Essence Soul, it was impossible to interrogate them using illusions. At the very least, the current Godfiends couldn’t do so.

Black Sand Grotto-Heaven underwent a defense swap. Bai Nianyun and Marquis Martial Yang’s arrangements had changed, so they returned to Black Sand Grotto-Heaven the same day.
