Chapter 242 The Fate of Greater Demon Monarch Blackrock

King Luyue first saw Blackrock. When he was closer, he saw the tiny Meng Chuan.

The 1000-foot-tall Blackrock was like a mountain. In front of him, Meng Chuan was indeed very ‘tiny.’

The two continued to run across the wilderness as their powers spread out in all directions.

Darkstar domain? King Luyue stared at the dark-red nebulae surrounding Meng Chuan in shock. Meng Chuan has become a Marquis Godfiend? Furthermore, this greater demon monarch can’t touch him at all. He’s even fleeing while fighting. The greater demon monarch is the one fleeing while Meng Chuan chases after it?

King Luyue was astonished. The situation before him was completely unexpected, but he still rushed over to help immediately.

King Luyue. As Meng Chuan attacked Blackrock continuously, he discovered a black-haired elder within his 2.5-kilometer-wide electromagnetic domain; it was the familiar King Luyue.

Meng Chuan immediately sent a voice transmission. “Senior Brother Gu, quickly attack and kill this great demon monarch.”

When King Luyue was 2.5 kilometers away from meng Chuan, he couldn’t help but sigh when he sensed the existence of the electromagnetic domain. This newly-advanced Junior Brother Meng Chuan actually has such a strong reconnaissance domain?

King Luyue’s arrival excited Meng Chuan. He’s finally here.

However, Blackrock despaired. I originally planned on burrowing into the ground to escape, but Meng Chuan is actually good at underground reconnaissance. I wanted to rush to the nearest county city and use the mortals as hostages, but this Regis Godfiend arrived. Blackrock sighed inwardly. If only I were not a mountain demon, but a demon that specializes in escaping, how good would that

be?

In the human world, escaping was the most important ability for demon monarchs. Although mountain demons were very strong in head-on assaults, they were very ordinary when it came to escaping.

When humans request for help, powerful Godfiends will immediately rush over. As for me? It’s impossible for a demon sage to come. Blackrock stopped running. With a flip of his hand, a token appeared in his gigantic stone palm. His token could only pinpoint his current location, determine whether he was alive, and allow him to request for help.

Demon monarchs’ requests for help were divided into different ranks, such as Marquis Godfiend threat, Regis Godfiend threat, and Creation Supremacy threat.

That was all their tokens could do.

The demons’ system for reinforcement requests is a joke. Blackrock clenched his fist.

Crack!

His token shattered as he looked at Meng Chuan—who had already retreated to the side. Meng Chuan has already become a Marquis Godfiend. With his Essence Soul cultivation talent, he will probably become more and more terrifying in the future… He will become a calamity for us demons.

If I’m going to die, why should I care about the fate of the demons? In the eyes of demon sages and Imperial Lords, us fourth Firmament demon monarchs are not worth mentioning

A long time ago, he was forced to infiltrate the human world through an unstable World Entrance. At that time, he was only a second Firmament demon monarch. He had no right to choose. Rejecting meant death!

In the human world, he lay dormant and cultivated silently. He obediently listened to his superiors’ orders so that he could obtain treasures, allowing his cultivation to progress further. He had become a third Firmament demon monarch, then a fourth Firmament demon monarch. He had even gained the right to command all demon monarchs in the Great Zhou Dynasty. He even thought that his value to the demons’ upper echelons would drastically change once he became a fifth Firmament demon monarch.

The black-haired elder-King Luyuelevitated in midair. Black ripples emanated out from King Luyue’s body, causing Blackrock to panic.

“Demon Monarch, you have a chance to live,” said the black-haired elder.

“Live?” Blackrock was stunned.

Meng Chuan and his wife, Liu Qiyue, met up. They were stunned when they heard that.

“Ah Chuan, King Luyue wants to let that demon monarch off?” asked Liu Qiyue.

“Let’s listen.” Meng Chuan remained calm. The best choice was to kill Blackrock because he knew of his Essence Soul cultivation talent.

“How can I live? You’ll let me go?” Blackrock sneered. “I’ve never heard of you humans letting demon monarchs go.”

“There are two ways for you to live,” said King Luyue with a smile. “One, i’ll send you to Archean Mountain. You are to give up control willingly without any resistance. We humans can control your Essence Soul. From then on, you will be absolutely loyal to humans. We will naturally trust you.”

“Control my Essence Soul? Like those avian demon monarchs?” Blackrock sneered, but he was tempted by the offer.

He would be absolutely loyal to whoever controlled his Essence Soul. Humans could easily control demon monarchs that had yet to condense an Essence Soul. However, demon monarchs with Essence Souls were a lot more troublesome to control. Typically, a demon monarch with an Essence Soul had to be willing and have zero resistance to being controlled before there was any hope of controlling them.

“The second method is to enter one of Archean Mountain’s several grotto-heaven worlds. You can enter a grotto-heaven world and cultivate there. Without Archean Mountain’s permission, you are unable to contact the outside world. You have to live there your entire life,” said the black-haired elder.

“Live in a grotto-heaven world?” Blackrock was somewhat tempted. He knew that Black Sand Grotto-Heaven’s headquarters was in a large grotto-heaven world.

Archean Mountain was the most ancient human sect. It also had many grotto-heaven worlds. After entering, he naturally couldn’t leave without permission. However, he would be far away from the war. As a mountain demon, he liked to stay in a place without moving. He would be quite pleased to stay motionless for ten years.

“Why are you willing to keep me alive?” asked Blackrock.

“It’s because of the intelligence you will provide,” said King Luyue with a smile. “It’ll be of great help to humanity. Thus, you will naturally be allowed to live.”

“I want to meet a Creation Supremacy,” said Blackrock.

“Alright.” King Luyue smiled and nodded.

Blackrock had returned to the height of a normal human. His demonic powers were sealed and followed King Luyue without any resistance.

“Haha. Junior Brother Meng, you are very impressive.” King Luyue brought Blackrock and flew to Meng Chuan and his wife.

Meng Chuan and Liu Qiyue glanced at Blackrock.

“In the blink of an eye, we are already senior and junior brothers.” King Luyue smiled at the couple. “You have done a great deed this time. Typically, most fourth Firmament demon monarchs in the human world have just broken through. For a fourth Firmament demon monarch to have the strength of a peak Marquis Godfiend, it must’ve lurked in the human world for many years to reach this stage. There are very few fourth Firmament demon monarchs with such strength.

“If it weren’t for you attacking it, it would probably have fled long ago. That would’ve resulted in countless mortals and many Godfiends dying.”

“Qiyue was forced to cast Phoenix’s Nirvana,” said Meng Chuan. “I was forced to make a sudden breakthrough. I was lucky enough to become a Marquis Godfiend. That’s how I managed to prevent it from escaping.”

“A sudden breakthrough?” King Luyue was alarmed.

“That’s right.” Blackrock stared at Meng Chuan with a complicated look. “This Meng Chuan of your human race is truly a monster. Under the threat of death, he reached the Realm of Dao. Then, he forcefully broke through to the Darkstar realm. Even when suppressed by the Dragonwater Domain, he was still faster than me while carrying his wife. Even though I fled underground, he could still find me. I lost to him fair and square.”“A way to scan the underground on a large scale?” King Luyue’s eyes lit up. “Meng Chuan, how deep can your technique probe?”

Now, humans were in desperate need of Godfiends that were skilled at underground reconnaissance. King White Treasure from Black Sand Grotto-Heaven had a battle record that was better than all the other Godfiends of his sect combined. From this, one could tell how useful an underground reconnaissance expert was.

“I’m only capable of probing a quarter-kilometer deep. I’m far inferior to King White Treasure,” said Meng Chuan.

“Just a quarter-kilometer?” King Luyue frowned slightly.

A quarter-kilometer was less than 1000 feet. Meng Chuan would be more useful aboveground than conducting underground reconnaissance.

“Senior Brother Gu, are you planning to bring this greater demon monarch to Luo Tang City Pass?” asked Meng Chuan. “Since you have become a Marquis Godfiend, come with me,” said King Luyue. “If you go there, you will meet Supremacy Luo Tang along with Supremacy Qin Wu.”

“Alright.” Meng Chuan smiled and nodded. “I do plan on making a trip.”

His Essence Soul cultivation talent was a secret. His master had also instructed him to keep it a secret. Since Blackrock knew of his Essence Soul cultivation talent, he naturally had to report it to Supremacy Qin Wu.
