Global Arrival: Survival on a Desert Island

Chapter 139 Battle against Pirates (4)

Chapter 139 Decisive Battle Against Pirates ([-])

”Hmph, are you going to escape...”

Looking at the remaining three warships that began to change their direction, Lin Feng snorted coldly, and then immediately gave the order to pursue.

It’s just that the frontal sea area is full of shipwrecks left over from the pirate fleet, and if they pass directly, they will inevitably run aground and lose power.

Therefore, we can only turn slightly and pursue from the side.

The fleeing pirate fleet was also quickly sending messages to the island, ordering all artillery camps to prepare for attack.

There is a big difference between land artillery and naval artillery.

In order to consider various reasons, the specifications and dimensions of naval guns have been greatly reduced.

But the purpose of artillery on land and islands is to deal with giants like battleships.

Therefore, there is no room for increase in caliber, accuracy and range.

At the same time, as the island itself is an immovable object, the accuracy of the attack is much higher than shooting on the ship.

And as the base camp of the pirate stronghold, all kinds of artillery shooting in the surrounding sea area have been recorded early.

As long as you reach the designated position, you can hit the ship with your eyes closed and set the angle.

At the same time, in order to ensure the safety of the island camp, the sea wolf spent a lot of materials to build this part of the artillery.

Its cost is enough to build another ten cruisers.

After all, as an island safe haven, as long as it doesn’t fall, he will eventually have a chance to make a comeback.

Unfortunately, Lin Feng would not let him escape so easily.

It does take a while to avoid the wreckage, but the two frigates that were separated before are now the most important obstacle that delays the opponent’s evacuation.

Before the sea wolf’s focus was on the frontal battlefield, he didn’t seem to care about the battle of the two frigates in the rear.

After all, there are only two frigates, what storms can they cause?
The pursuit of one ship to drive out three escort ships is already a situation of high opinion of the other party and a sure-fire situation.

But when he finally had time to check, the sea wolf was dumbfounded.

what’s the situation?
What about Lao Tzu’s ship?

So what about the big four ships, which were still here just now? !

Before the sea wolf could react, the two frigates that had been waiting for a long time launched an attack directly.

Due to the continuous fighting, there were only four shells left for each gun on the frigate.

If it is uniform and the shells are concentrated on one side, then the artillery on one side can still fire eight times.

In order to concentrate firepower and ensure maximum utilization of remaining ammunition, the two frigates had already made plans and preparations during the encirclement.

Focus on destroying one ship first, and then see if the remaining ammunition can cause harassment to the pirate fleet.

After the ammunition is less than three rounds, you need to slow down the firing frequency to ensure the safety of your own ship.

In this way, after they concentrated their firepower, a pirate destroyer was directly attacked by two rounds of artillery.

A total of 48 shells hit an already crumbling destroyer.

And forty of the shells hit the hull accurately, and even a few hit the same position, causing more damage.

Under such a high-intensity bombardment, the destroyer was already overwhelmed and creaked, and the keel was directly broken and began to break from it.

If it were a normal bombardment, with the size and protection of the destroyer, it would take hundreds of rounds to cause such damage.

But under the bombardment of explosive grenades, it was sunk with less than [-] shells.

The remaining two warships did not fail to fight back when the opponent bombarded them.

But in the previous battles with battleships, they suffered different losses.

During the retreat, more people were conducting rescue operations rather than taking up positions to counterattack.

As a result, most people did not have time to return to their positions to fight back after the destroyer was sunk.

Instead, after sinking a destroyer, the two frigates immediately left the channel and gave way to the other side to evacuate.

It’s not that the frigate can’t stop it, but that the remaining shells are not enough to continue intercepting.

Therefore, giving up the position is just for the subsequent harassment work.

There are also three warships in the archipelago ports that have not left the port before.

If you take the opportunity to attack from both sides, even the upgraded frigate will have difficulty resisting the attack from both sides.

And it was still a pincer attack composed of cruisers and destroyers.

No matter how the frigate is upgraded, its physique and defense can only be the size of a frigate.

In the face of higher-level and heavier-level warships, they can rely on their own flexible and powerful advanced artillery to cause trauma to the opponent.

But if you want to fight head-on, forget it.

But if the ships here are replaced by battleships, any movement here will be distrust of battleships.

However, although the frigate moved away, it did not mean that they gave up their obstruction.

The sporadic and precise attacks continued, and as long as one hit was overtime, it could cause serious damage to the pirates.

And the battleship that circled behind has also passed through the wreckage area, and is currently heading towards the target at full speed.

”Quick, quick, there are still twenty sails to go back...”

Looking at the islands so close, Sea Wolf felt a little anxious.

A frigate of the opponent has such a powerful strength, which is not something that ordinary forces can build.

The only chance now is to return to the island to have the hope of survival.

Looking back at the two battleships chasing behind him, Sea Wolf’s heart tightened.

How did the other party chase so fast?
The maneuverability of a battleship is not at all inferior to that of a destroyer.

If the other party chased him like this, he might have just entered the island, and the other party would be able to take the opportunity to catch up and enter the bay.

”Signal to the island, as long as the hostile ship enters the maximum range, fire, regardless of accuracy!”

In order to slow down the opponent, Sea Wolf hurriedly urged his subordinates to transmit the signal.

On the archipelago, after receiving the order from the leader, all coastal defense ship guns were adjusted and loaded with ammunition.

These are all defensive weapons built by the leader with a lot of money, and the caliber of each naval gun is more than [-] mm.

At the same time, there is a supporting transmission shaft that can quickly adjust the direction and angle.

And even every artillery has a corresponding fortress.

These cannons are not outside in the open air, but are built with stones and filled with mud and bushes for protection.

And the most concealed thing is that each artillery position is connected by an underground passage.

During normal maintenance, the underground passage is used. Only when it is actually activated, can the bunker be removed from the special passage to the outside.

Outsiders generally don’t know about these things, only Hailang’s cronies can know about them and guard these anti-ship artillery.

On the three islands, Seawolves built a total of 47 doors, with an average of [-] doors allocated to each island.

Among them, on the main island, a cave on Soter Island is equipped with four cannons.

The four cannons are aimed in four directions. With the advantage of height, the maximum range of the cannons here can reach two kilometers!
After receiving the news from the leader, the artillery facing the battlefield was quietly removed from the camouflage, revealing the cold muzzle.
