Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2418: Chapter 1097: Qianxue Great Sect (Part 3)

Mo Hua looked helpless, but in his heart, he was quite moved.

And so, everyone left one by one.

In the usual days, living together, attending classes, cultivating, there didn’t seem to be anything special. But now, parting suddenly, thinking about when they would meet again, everyone felt a pang of sadness, their eyes slightly red.

For those who cultivate the Dao, life is long, but the bonds are shallow.

After this goodbye, whether they can meet again in the vast cultivation world in their lifetime, that will really depend on destiny and fate.

The encounters in life, the joys and sorrows, always leave one feeling lonely.

And thus, one by one, the little companions who had once been together day and night, all left.

The Disciple’s Residence also became quiet.

As the ”Junior Brother”, Mo Hua bid farewell to each one of them, and in the end, he was left all alone.

He wasn’t in a hurry to leave.

Because the karmic ties on him were many, once he leaves, he doesn’t know when he will return.

There are some people he has yet to meet, and some things he has yet to handle.

So Mo Hua allowed himself a little extra time.

In the meantime, Elder Master Xun called Mo Hua over again, specifically to confirm his intentions.

The two of them sat in the ancient building of Taixu, watching the drizzling rain, sipping clear tea.

”Are you sure you don’t want to stay in the Inner Gate?”

”Yes.” Mo Hua nodded.

He has a personal teacher now, a teacher who treats him as precious as a mountain. In this life, he will have only this one teacher.

Elder Master Xun was aware of this, so he was not surprised.

”Then are you going home?” Elder Master Xun asked.

Mo Hua nodded, ”Yes, I want to return home for a visit, to see my parents... It has been ten years since I left home, I don’t know how my parents are, I need to see them to feel at ease.”

”And after that?” Elder Master Xun asked.

”I haven’t decided yet...” Mo Hua pondered for a moment, then asked, ”Elder Master Xun, I want to...”

Elder Master Xun shook his head, ”Don’t say it, some plans should be kept to yourself, don’t tell anyone, not even me. The heavenly mechanism and causality on you is heavy, once leaked, it can be calculated by others, which could bring disaster upon you.”

”Yes,” Mo Hua replied, ”I understand.”

”There’s one more thing...” Elder Master Xun paused slightly, then spoke in a deep voice, ”I have also discussed with True Man Situ. You previously... incurred endless karma, which turned into evil, causing your life chart to inversely change. Now in your life chart, extreme evilness gathers, if you are not careful, you may end up... beyond redemption...”

Mo Hua’s heart was stern, he frowned and asked: ”Then what should I do?”

Elder Master Xun sighed and solemnly said:

”The lethal techniques of divine thought, unless necessary, try not to use them. Otherwise, it will disturb your divine soul, stirring the killing intent within you, thereby causing evil Qi to backfire, unbalancing your life chart.”

”Even when you have no choice but to use them, try to restrain as much as possible.”

”Also, avoid overextending your divine sense as much as possible, otherwise your life chart might lose control, causing the evil Qi to erupt.”

”From now on, when you are outside, remain calm in the face of events, avoid killing if you can.”

”If killing is unavoidable, try to restrain it, don’t kill too much.”

”Manage your karmic debts, they cannot be aggravated any further...”

As he spoke, Elder Master Xun himself found it absurd.

Is this how one teaches a disciple of the Righteous Dao?

What kind of Righteous Dao disciple needs to be told ”manage your karmic debts”?

Elder Master Xun sighed, somewhat helpless.

Mo Hua, on the other hand, took all of Elder Master Xun’s words to heart.

Not listening to the elders will lead to suffering right in front of you.

Elder Master Xun’s special advice must be remembered, not neglected.

As for the so-called ”managing karmic debts” matter, Mo Hua didn’t think it was much of a problem.

He’s always been kind to others, although a little ”intolerant of evil”, he rarely actually kills.

The Blood Sacrifice Array incident was purely forced by circumstances, there was nothing he could do.

After all, how could he go on killing so many people in the future?

”Elder, I will remember.” Mo Hua nodded.

Elder Master Xun saw Mo Hua’s serious attitude, clearly taking it to heart, and felt somewhat relieved.

He then looked deeply at Mo Hua, sighing in his heart:

”Even the most cherished child must eventually be let out to explore the world on his own...”

”It’s just that... leaving the Taixu Gate, leaving the Qianxue State Boundary, there will be no one to look after him anymore. The outside world is chaotic, the world is full of dangers, demons and ghosts can be found everywhere...”

Elder Master Xun pondered for a moment, then took out a jade token-like object and handed it to Mo Hua.

Mo Hua took it, examined it for a moment, and asked curiously: ”Elder, what is this?”

”Sect ’Jade Token’.” Elder Master Xun said.

”Jade Token?”

”Yes.” Elder Master Xun nodded, ”It’s a jade token used for ’introduction’. Every disciple, after graduation from the sect, will have some elders from within the sect sign their name on it, to help find a path, or for simple introduction and communication among fellow cultivators.”

Mo Hua suddenly understood.

This is somewhat like a ”recommendation letter” from the sect, somewhat like a ”business card” for a disciple’s sect.

”Does every disciple have one?” Mo Hua was a bit puzzled, ”Why didn’t I know about this before?”

Elder Master Xun quietly said, ”Perhaps everyone thought you didn’t need it...”

This kind of ”Jade Token” requires an elder’s signature.

Mo Hua’s status is recognized even by the ancestors, so no elder dared to presumptuously offer him an ”introduction”.

But the problem is, Mo Hua doesn’t intend to stay within the Qianxue State Boundary.

He is planning to leave.

Once he leaves the Qianxue State Boundary, the outside world will be different.

Elder Master Xun said, ”Some formalities are still necessary, within the Taixu Gate, within the Qianxue State Boundary, no one dares to belittle you.”

”But once you’re out of the Qianxue State Boundary, in the vast world, events are unpredictable, meeting by chance, no one knows who you are.”

”If you always hide in obscurity, keeping a low profile, it may not matter.”

”But occasionally, you might need to take advantage, without proof, mere words mean nothing, others will only think you’re boasting.”

”Therefore, things like the Jade Token, you still need to have. At the very least, when you meet past Taixu Gate elders, senior brothers, or senior sisters, you can make some connections.”

”A cultivator’s cultivation is important, but connections are also not to be ignored.”

After speaking, Elder Master Xun himself signed Mo Hua’s Jade Token, and then said:

”Take this and ask some elders for their signatures. Just say it’s what I said.”

”Yes.” Mo Hua held the Jade Token, feeling deeply grateful.

Afterward, Mo Hua took the Jade Token given by Elder Master Xun and went to find the elders for their ”signatures”.

He first sought out the elders he knew well and had a good relationship with.

For example, Elder Xun Ziyou, Elder Xun Zixian, the gentle and beautiful Elder Murong, Elder Yi who taught him Taoist skills, and Elder Song who was in charge of lecturing and often excused his absences, and so on.

Then, somehow, the news got out.

Many elders took the initiative to seek out Mo Hua, wanting to sign for him.

But they were embarrassed to speak first, only pretending to ”run into him”, then eagerly looking at Mo Hua.

Mo Hua hesitated for a moment, and slowly said: ”Elder, this disciple has an unreasonable request...”

The elder replied, ”Oh, the Sect Jade Token, right? No problem, no problem, I’ll sign, I’ll sign...”

Speaking with a face filled with joy.

Eventually, more and more elders from the Three Mountains signed in such an ”encounter” with Mo Hua.

Generally speaking, for an elder to sign a disciple’s Jade Token is an honor for the disciple.

But for Mo Hua, it was reversed; whoever signed for Mo Hua gained face.

Whoever didn’t sign was considered inferior.

The elders even signed for other disciples with flamboyant strokes, fearing it wouldn’t be suave enough.

But when signing for Mo Hua, they wrote each stroke carefully, afraid Mo Hua wouldn’t recognize it.

After the elders finished signing, even the ancestors were not exempt.

The ancestor of Taia Mountain invited Mo Hua for tea and casually mentioned the Jade Token, then signed it as well.

The ancestor of Mount Chongxu was not to be outdone.

Then, all the Sect Leaders of the Three Mountains also signed.

By this time, Mo Hua’s ”Sect Jade Token” was densely packed, almost completely filled with names from the ancestors to the Sect Leaders to the elders of the Three Mountains at Taixu Gate.
