Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2407: Chapter 1094: The Evil Monster’s Shadow

Mo Hua was shocked for a long time, then suddenly understood; no wonder the Second Elder of the Great Wilderness said this was a life-bound formation more suitable for him.

With the help of the formation, the spirit remains within can address the drawbacks of the spiritual root and make up for the lack of spiritual power.

This would transform him into a truly formidable, even terrifying, spiritual cultivator.

Cultivation is fundamental, spiritual power is foundational.

The stronger the spiritual power, the more one can accomplish.

Comparatively, the Four Symbols Azure Dragon Formation is also good and strong, but it is after all only Second Grade with twenty patterns, somewhat low in pattern count, which fails to catch Mo Hua’s ”Dharma Eye.”

Moreover, the Azure Dragon Formation enhances the physical body.

The power of the physical body is mutual.

The stronger the physical body’s strength, the greater the demand for its own physical body’s intensity.

With Mo Hua’s own physical body’s strength, he simply cannot bear the load of the Azure Dragon Formation.

Even if he could withstand the load and successfully refine the Azure Dragon Formation, his physical foundation is appalling weak, lacking any significant improvement.

Instead of compensating for an extreme shortcoming to a mediocre level,

it’s better to find ways to maximize one’s strengths.

As for the ”defense” problem...

Mo Hua stroked his chin in deep thought.

He has Heavenly secret Calculation, Uncle Zhang Lan taught him Water Passing Step, and the top-tier movement technique Water Prison Sect’s Water Shadow Body.

Cause and effect avert disaster, movement technique avoids killing.

For murderous intent one cannot dodge with cause and effect or movement technique, relying on his own delicate body to withstand is unrealistic.

Not to mention, there’s the cause and effect dream omen of ”Taotie devouring dragons...”

Mo Hua nodded, completely abandoning the Four Symbols Azure Dragon Formation, firmly resolved to find ways to refine the Barbaric Wilderness’s ”Twelve Scripture Gluttonous Spirit Corpse Formation” into his life-bound formation.

But many issues also followed one after another.

Mo Hua placed the Great Wilderness Bone Scroll against his forehead, divine sense sank in, continuing to browse backwards.

The content further back was the final formation diagram of the Twelve Scripture Gluttonous Spirit Corpse Formation.

Mo Hua indeed perceived a wild, ancient, fierce breath, within the divine sense perception he could already see several ancient and mysterious, hideous and majestic ”Taotie Patterns.”

But that’s all there was.

Being able to glimpse a few Taotie Patterns was already the limit, seeing more of the formation diagram was impossible.

Mo Hua frowned.

”Is the divine sense realm not enough, so the complete formation diagram isn’t visible?”

”Find someone else to look and then tell myself?”

Mo Hua thought for a while, and shook his head.

This is a life-bound formation map, life and spirit cultivation, relating to the Great Dao, extremely confidential, not convenient to show others.

Even Elder Master Xun, he wasn’t quite convenient to disclose specific formation patterns to.

Otherwise, once heavenly secret leaks, it’s equivalent to handing over his ”vital gate” for others to manipulate.

”I can only wait until my divine sense becomes stronger, then slowly see, learn, and comprehend bit by bit...”

”And also...”

Mo Hua frowned, realizing some more troublesome issues.

How is this formation refined?

Taotie ”Spirit Remains” Formation... surely it can’t involve engraving the formation on one’s own bones?

Using bone as the medium? Wouldn’t that make it an evil formation?

Mo Hua thought again, this probably isn’t the case...

An evil formation requires killing, skinning, cutting bones, bleeding, creating slaughter, causing others fear, and oneself madness, only then does it count as ”evil”...

Carving the formation on one’s own bones without harming others should be fine...

But another issue arises.

How can the formation be carved on one’s bones?

It’s surely not plausible to open the belly, pull out one’s bones, then draw formation one stroke at a time, and ”sew” it back in, right?

Wouldn’t that be unbearably painful?

Moreover, there are a series of much more fundamental formation issues:

What ink to use?

What to use as the medium? Truly one’s own bones?

What to use as the pen?

What is the formation eye, how to arrange the formation pivot?

...

Just thinking about it made Mo Hua’s scalp tingle.

He looked carefully again at the formation’s exegesis in the Ancient Wilderness Text.

There are only a few words recorded about how to refine and integrate the Twelve Regular Meridians, Circulation Remains, with Taotie Array.

Whether it was deliberate omission or these are merely basic inheritance spell points in the Great Wilderness Taoist inheritance, hence not worth detailing...

As expected, there is no pie falling from the sky.

Not to mention, it involves Barbaric Wilderness Abyssal Swamp, Great Wilderness Witch, Fierce Beast Taotie, Twenty-four Patterns Ultimate Formation, Internal Spirit Remains, so many profound and complex cultivation concepts and cause-effect relations, it’s definitely not simple.

To achieve it in one go is unrealistic.

Mo Hua sighed.

”Forget it, let’s ponder it slowly.”

Cultivators cultivate the Dao, forge life-bound formations, establish golden cores, none of these are achieved overnight.

As long as one persists, invests thought, and perseveres, maybe one day, suddenly gaining an opportunity, everything will resolve itself easily.

Before that, it’s best to prepare more.

Mo Hua settled down, in the days that followed, he practiced while reviewing formations, continuing to delve into the Ancient Wilderness Text.

Meanwhile, whenever there’s time, he deduces various variables and possibilities in his mind, preparing in advance for refining his life-bound Taotie Spirit Remains Formation.

Occasionally he also tries to sketch a few Taotie Patterns.

The Twelve Scripture Gluttonous Spirit Corpse Formation, Mo Hua’s current divine sense is insufficient to fully see or learn, but it doesn’t prevent him from occasionally sketching a few Taotie Patterns to satisfy his cravings.

In this way, life suddenly became busy yet peaceful.

During this period, Mo Hua was practically ”isolated from the world,” wholeheartedly recuperating, pondering about his life-bound formation.

No other person could come to see him in the rear mountain of the Taixu Gate.
