Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2265: Chapter 1047: Heavenly Escape ”Slaughter” (Part 3)

If I delay any longer, what these junior brothers of mine will become is really hard to say.

Mo Hua silently mused:

”The Heavenly Mechanism Causality is indeed a wonderful thing. If I have the chance, I must find some Karma Path’s inheritance to study well...”

”Whether for saving lives or taking them, it should be very helpful...”

But that’s a matter for later.

Right now, after rescuing all his fellow sect members, Mo Hua faced another problem:

What should be done next?

Mo Hua pondered lightly.

From all he had witnessed and heard along the way, he was somewhat clear now.

All before him was meticulously planned by Mr. Tu, or rather by the Evil God.

This includes the previous Asura battle.

Using the Asura battle to have disciples from the Four Sects and Eight Gates of the Twelve Streams kill each other, provoking mutual killing intent and hatred.

Then, activating the Evil Path Great Formation to have these disciples engage in a real massacre within the closed Evil Formation.

Killing intent, hatred, pain, regret, desperation, would all brew within the Large Formation.

In the end, those who manage to survive, having their hands stained with the blood of their peers and fellow sect brothers, their hearts filled with the utmost pain and regret, their Taoist Heart completely shattered, along with unrivaled Spiritual Root talent, would be the best ”containers” for Evil Thoughts.

Mo Hua may not be the Evil God, thus unclear about the ins and outs, but given his experience, he could instantly think of over ten ways to use these ”demonized” Heavenly Pride as containers, refining the Evil Path, turning them to his advantage.

Whether as minions, as Divine Servants, as sacrifices, as nightmares, as Demon Monsters, or as Demon embryos... they’re top-notch ”materials.”

This demonized bloodshed is gruesome in color, slaughter is the theme.

All rules are set by the Evil God.

Mo Hua may not be the Evil God, but he knows the Evil God’s nature well.

Even if he managed to evade the Four Sects and Eight Gates’ pursuit with his junior sect brothers, and even if by some miracle they kill everyone else and survive, they cannot possibly be the true ”victors.”

Playing by the Evil God’s rules, one can never win.

Since things are this way...

”Then I can only set my own rules, play by my own ’regulations’.”

Mo Hua rested his chin, his eyes flickered.

The earth-level Asura battle, he must kill. Kill everyone else, only then can Taixu Gate take first place.

But in this ”heaven-level” great escape, it’s quite the opposite, he must save.

Killing cannot solve the problem, the more you kill, the heavier the slaughter, the deeper the Evil Qi, the stronger the Large Formation, the more you fall into the Evil God’s trap, ultimately making survival impossible for anyone.

Thus, one must act against the norm, turn saving into action.

Rescue disciples from Four Sects and Eight Gates of the Twelve Streams, even the few from Qian Learning Hundred Gates, everyone who can be saved.

Unite every force that can be united, get everyone aboard the same ship.

Only then can the vast majority survive.

But to save, one can’t save indiscriminately.

The Heavenly Pride from various Great Sects number in the hundreds, saving piece by piece is impossible due to limited resources.

Furthermore, even if rescued, they might not listen, and with too many people, chaos could ensue.

”Then... capture the ’thief’ by first seizing the king. Capture the key Heavenly Pride, then use them to orchestrate the whole situation...”

Mo Hua’s eyes brightened, gradually forming a plan.

”Rest for another 30 minutes, then we’ll head out.” Mo Hua instructed again.

Everyone was stunned, Situ Jian asked: ”Junior Brother, where are we going?”

”To save people.”

”Save people?”

”Yes!” Mo Hua nodded but didn’t elaborate, only commanded: ”Later, I’ll draw formation marks, cover your foreheads with them to protect your Sea of Consciousness, remember, never ever remove them.”

Everyone nodded solemnly in agreement.

Afterward, Mo Hua used some leftover formation media and Spiritual Ink from the Sword Discussion Conference to draw some basic Divine Tao Formations, letting everyone wear them on their foreheads to protect their Sea of Consciousness from Evil Spirits’ disturbances.

During this time, Ouyang Xuan and others started to wake up gradually.

Their Divine Sense was damaged, faces pale, but since the root cause of their Divine Thought ailment was gone, it didn’t pose further harm.

Mo Hua was entirely relieved.

After 30 minutes, Mo Hua gathered everyone, then set out again.

The Heavenly Pride from other sects weren’t familiar with Mo Hua, but after a series of Sword Discussions, they had formed some Karma, allowing Mo Hua to deduce some of their aura.

Yet what surprised Mo Hua was the strength of this causal aura.

Why?

Mo Hua was puzzled.

Do these Heavenly Pride disciples internally remember themselves like this?

Am I really worth their remembrance?

However, time was of the essence; he had no leisure to delve deeper but followed the cause to continue the search.

Soon, he found his first target.

And this person was considered an ”old friend” of Mo Hua’s, Song Jian, whom he had planted as an ”agent” within Sever Gold Sect.

Song Jian was not alone; he was surrounded by fifteen Sever Gold Sect disciples.

As the leading talent of Sever Gold Sect, naturally, many fellow disciples followed him, taking his lead.

Now trapped in the Evil Path Great Formation, filled with ominousness at every turn, they were evidently ”banding together for warmth,” searching for a way out.

But the Evil Path Great Formation, with death traps at every step, offers no chance of survival—it’s not that easy to navigate.

Song Jian’s brows furrowed, his face grave, uneasy and restless. It was at this moment he spotted Mo Hua.

Song Jian was first stunned, then secretly delighted, yet on his face showed anger. He immediately drew his sword, pointing at Mo Hua, gritting his teeth in fury:

”Mo Hua — enemies are bound to meet, finally I meet you, today you are doomed to die!”

Having said that, he charged forward, urging Sever Gold Sword Qi without hesitation, initially attacking Mo Hua.

Cheng Mo dashed up, swinging his two axes, blocking Song Jian’s Sever Gold Sword.

Linghu Xiao extended his fingers, condensing Chongxu Sword Qi, knocking Song Jian back.

Song Jian retreated, falling back into the crowd.

Mo Hua sneered, ”The Sever Gold Sword Jue, nothing more than this.”

Song Jian was furious but seemed wary of Linghu Xiao and the five Tai’a brothers beside Mo Hua, refraining from making rash moves, instead telling his disciples:

”Taixu Gate is formidable, we cannot face them head-on; let’s leave.”

He turned to step away but was called back by Mo Hua: ”Song Jian.”

Song Jian looked back.

Mo Hua said blandly: ”By the Evil Path Great Formation’s design, dangers lurk at every corner; you won’t find your way out alone. Why not join hands with Taixu Gate and seek a path to survival?”

Song Jian sneered, ”Wishful thinking. Sever Gold Sect and Taixu Gate are enemies; how could I join forces with Taixu Gate?”

Mo Hua’s gaze sharpened, ”Do you not care for yourself, nor these fifteen fellow disciples behind you?”

”Without my guidance, trapped in the Evil Formation, you face certain death.”

”You’re all first-rate Heavenly Pride of this Sever Gold Sect batch—if you perish...” Mo Hua chuckled, ”The loss for Sever Gold Sect would be immense.”

Song Jian’s face turned ashen, hesitating in his heart.

Moments later, he said gravely, ”Do you truly...hold the key to our escape?”

Mo Hua boasted, ”Don’t forget, I’m the Qianxue Array Dao Leader.”

Song Jian’s eyes turned solemn, his heart seemed to undergo a celestial battle, and finally, he gritted his teeth:

”Fine! I’ll agree with you!”

Having spoken, Song Jian turned back, earnestly addressing other Sever Gold Sect disciples:

”Sever Gold Sect’s feud with Taixu Gate, joining forces with Mo Hua is solely my decision. It doesn’t implicate you. If sect elders hold you accountable, feel free to blame it on me.”

Song Jian’s expression was resolute.

A wave of emotion swept through the Sever Gold Sect disciples, inspiring their spirits, prompting them to salute earnestly:

”Your actions, enduring shame for responsibility, safeguard our well-being.”

”We shall accompany you through thick and thin, united in glory and adversity, thereafter through flames and tribulation without hesitation!”

Song Jian looked comforted and then glanced at Mo Hua, with an expression tinged with sadness and anger, ”Please show us the way.”

Mo Hua nodded, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
