The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 617 Rebirth of The First Divine Golden Thunderwing

”Klaus, how do your clones work?” Lily asked after having breakfast, now resting under a pavilion.

”They are not clones. They are just illusions I made tangible,” Klaus answered. The ladies and, perhaps, the entire world would want to know just how he was able to create clone after clone during the battle.

”But how is that possible? Illusions cannot affect the physical body, so how were you able to do that?” she asked again.

Everyone around was paying attention. Klaus had used clones during the battle in Union City. Later, they found out those clones were illusions. This doesnʼt make any sense.

Illusions affect the mind, but somehow, Klaus managed to make them tangible, giving them life.

Klaus smiled at Lily.

”I have an illusion Class that allows me to make illusions reality.” He waved his hand, and an illusionary version of himself appeared. He shot a bolt of lightning from his finger at it, but it passed through.

”This is the illusion form. But aside from this, I have another form that allows me to make it tangible.” He snapped his fingers, and the illusion moved toward the bar.

It went around, picked a wine from the top shelf, then picked a glass, poured it in, and brought it to Klaus.

”Illusions shouldnʼt be like this, but thanks to my unique Class, I now have the power to make illusions a reality.

And the best part is, unlike clones that can only harness a certain percentage of your true power, my illusions can harness 100% of my power.

All I need is the mental and soul strength to accommodate it. In a way, I can simply rely on my illusions to do anything I want, provided my mind can support it.”

”That is just... monstrous,” Ling, one of the Zhou twins, said, looking at the clone now staring outside. Just looking at the aloof expression on its face was enough to tell them this shouldnʼt even exist.

Klaus waved his hand, and it vanished.

”I also want a clone like this,” Lily said, and the rest nodded. They all wanted clones to help them in battle...

”Too bad you canʼt have one,” Klaus smirked, watching their faces. Having clones is ideal. In fact, clones are the best life-saving treasures one can have. In a dire situation, you can switch with your clones.

So, having them is the best thing that can ever happen to a warrior. But most cloning abilities are just too flawed. The clones wonʼt be able to do much since they have limitations.

The strongest ability under the heavens for cloning only makes the clones gain 80% of the ownerʼs strength. Though in a way, it can be monstrous, it also isnʼt ideal.

ʼI will hold on for now. When they reach the Transcendent stage, I will give them that technique,ʼ Klaus thought, then looked at Queenie, Ohema, and Miriam.

Miriam has yet to break through to the Transcendent stage.

The moment she does, which will be soon, he will give her the technique. But for now, they must enjoy the vacation.

The skill he planned on giving them will allow them to create something akin to Avatars. This way, they will be able to harness all their energy through them.

They continued to speak about different stuff for a couple of hours.

”Huh?”

Suddenly, Hanna jerked up and looked toward the mansion.

”Kathy is waking up.” She sped off, leaving dust behind. The look in her eyes said it all—she missed her beast companion.

”Letʼs go.” Klaus and the rest also left and headed inside Hannaʼs room, where Kathy was breaking free from the golden cocoon she had been in for about a week now.

Klaus had assumed she would be out in a few days after he gave her his blood, but it seemed his blood was much more potent than he expected.

”How is she?” Klausʼs mom asked the moment they entered the room.

”She is still in the process,” Hanna replied with a beaming smile. Klaus, on the other hand, was shocked as he continued to look at the golden cocoon.

Queenie noticed and asked why.

”It seems she will create a commotion when she wakes up. Take her away from here now.” Klaus wasnʼt even done speaking when the cocoon vanished.

The next second, they all vanished and appeared on a flat green land a couple of miles away from Stone Valley.

The moment the cocoon appeared there, a golden storm cloud formed, and the cocoon vanished inside the cloud.

”Huh, what happened?” Klausʼs mom asked, gazing at the magnificent yet terrifying golden cloud forming on the horizon.

[Nirvana Rebirth], the senior said in a shocked tone.

ʼWhat is that?ʼ Klaus asked, sensing something major was about to happen.

ʼ[Brat, you are about to witness the birth of the first of her kind. The one that will be called the Progenitor, for she is the first and will be the first in eons to come. You are about to witness the birth of something majestic... Just watch.]ʼ

For some reason, Klaus could tell the senior was very much more interested in what was happening than him. So he also focused on it and started to watch.

ʼNirvana Rebirth.ʼ

ʼIsnʼt this what Yuying used to call ʼthe phoenix rising from the ashes and undergoing Nirvana Rebirth, becoming the first of her kindʼ?

Does this mean Kathy is going to be the first of her kind, the first Thunderwing? But there are Thunderwings out there in the universe, so what does this mean?ʼ

Klausʼs mind went into overdrive, trying to understand what was happening. If the Nirvana Rebirth he knew was the rebirth of something unique, then did it mean there were no thunderwings out there?

ʼBut thatʼs not possible, right?ʼ he wondered.

ʼMaybe this has something to do with bloodlines. Maybe she will be awakening a much stronger bloodline than the other Thunderwings out there.ʼ

ʼYeah, that can only be the explanation for why this is termed Nirvana Rebirth. I donʼt have to look too far; this is it. This is the only meaning there can be for this.ʼ

Klaus resolved to stick with the bloodline awakening theory.

He literally became an elf when he awakened his Star Monarch bloodline, so this could only mean Kathy was undergoing something similar.

Unfortunately, Klaus was wrong this time. Though he was right about the bloodline, he was wrong about that being the main thing.

Somewhere far in the universe, a race of beasts known as the Thunderbirds were currently kowtowing to a golden statue of a large, majestic bird that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

They all had their heads on the ground despite their strength. The statue was exuding a powerful presence that nobody was able to resist.

However, instead of being alarmed, they were overjoyed.

For eons ago, when the demons attacked, the last remaining Thunderwings were slaughtered. But it was said that one day, the Divine Golden Thunderwing, one of her kind, would be born.

Klaus watched as lightning and thunder rocked inside the golden clouds for two hours until suddenly, a large wing silhouette moved through the clouds.

At that moment, a majestic, divine presence descended on Earth, marking the birth of the first Divine Beast—on Earth.
