From Idler to Tech Tycoon: Earth

Chapter 164: All In One
Chapter 164: Chapter 164: All In OneWhile the Bull ZS-1 commanded headlines and shattered automotive benchmarks, on the other side of the tech world, Bytebull’s Carbon Nanotube (CNT) chips were poised for an even more profound, albeit less flashy, revolution. Their impact, though quieter, would ripple through every sector of technology.

For months, major tech companies that had historically outsourced their silicon chip manufacturing to industry giants like TSMC, Samsung, and Intel, had been quietly re-evaluating their strategies. Now, fueled by Bytebull’s public launch of the CNT fabrication plant and the ZS-1’s undeniable performance, the floodgates opened. Announcements began pouring in from around the globe.

Companies like Gigabyte (a major manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards), Dell Technologies (a leading enterprise hardware manufacturer specializing in servers and high-performance computing solutions),

IBM Research (a pioneering research and development firm deeply invested in early AI and machine learning hardware and quantum computing),

Boston Dynamics (a company at the forefront of advanced industrial automation and emerging robotics),

Medtronic (a leading medical technology developer exploring advanced diagnostics and experimental neuro-modulation devices), and

Cisco Systems (a major telecommunications equipment provider researching next-generation network infrastructure),

All posted teasers for their ”revolutionary new platforms,” ”unprecedented processing units,” and ”next-gen computational engines,” explicitly featuring ”Powered by Bytebull CNT Processors.” The hype among PC builders, hardcore gamers, data center operators, drone enthusiasts, medical researchers, and telecom giants was palpable, even without official benchmarks for integrated CNT chip computers and graphics. Bytebull had delivered on its promises with the ZS-1; surely, their core semiconductor technology would be equally revolutionary.

The semiconductor industry giants watched with a mix of apprehension and grudging respect. It wasn’t just Bytebull’s audacious claims that stirred the waters; it was the independent validation from the titans of semiconductor testing. Teradyne and Advantest, the two undisputed leaders in automated test equipment for the semiconductor industry, released joint statements that sent shockwaves through the market. Their comprehensive testing validated Bytebull’s CNT chips as nothing short of ”phenomenal.”

Their internal reports, selectively leaked and debated fiercely across tech forums, detailed unprecedented performance:

Processing Speed: CNT chips consistently delivered a 1.6x faster data propagation rate than the most advanced silicon standards, translating to staggering gains in raw processing power. In multi-core benchmarks, Bytebull’s CNT prototypes consistently outscored the latest silicon offerings by over 40%.

Power Efficiency: Running at 20% less power consumption than their silicon counterparts, the CNT chips promised cooler running systems and significantly extended battery life for portable devices. Test rigs showed remarkable thermal efficiency, requiring far less robust cooling solutions.

Data Density: Lab tests confirmed the claimed ten times greater data density, meaning exponentially more transistors and interconnects could be packed into the same physical space, paving the way for next-generation micro-architectures.

Local semiconductor companies in the Philippines, like Amkor Technology Philippines, which had long served as a crucial link in the global silicon supply chain for assembly and testing, also issued their own findings. Having received samples directly from Bytebull’s Lugait plant for their own rigorous independent verification, their results mirrored those of Teradyne and Advantest. ”The future is carbon,” their understated press release simply stated.

The tech world, just like the automotive industry, was now firmly under Bytebull’s spell. The era of Carbon Nanotube supremacy had begun, heralding a future of unprecedented computational power and energy efficiency. Richard Santamo’s vision was unfolding, piece by revolutionary piece, reshaping humanity’s technological destiny.

While the world reeled from the terrestrial impact of Bytebull’s innovations, deep beneath the Amazon, Richard Santamo savored a different kind of victory. He leaned back in his chair, the panoramic view of the massive egress shaft from his private office a constant reminder of the scale of his hidden empire. The distant hum of operations, the silent whir of maintenance androids, all spoke to a meticulous, unseen operation.

His eyes, however, were fixed on the glowing interface of his personal system.

”Hohohoho,” he chuckled, a deep, satisfied rumble. ”I’m making bank, boy, hahahaha.” He wasn’t laughing about the financial wealth accumulating above ground; that was merely a byproduct. His amusement stemmed from the exploding SP – the true currency of his ambition – earned through the frequent, impactful release of technologies that profoundly benefited humanity. Every disruption, every solved problem, every leap forward contributed to this growing treasury of influence and knowledge.

Lina’s avatar shimmered briefly beside his console. ”Sir, I am still processing the full spectrum of psionic energy matter, sir. Its relation to the crystals in the deepest level is proving more complex than initially theorized, but progress is steady.”

”Excellent, Lina. No rush on perfection,” Richard replied, waving a dismissive hand. He spun his chair, taking in the grand vista of his underground kingdom, a smile lingering on his lips. He then opened the system shop, his fingers dancing across the holographic display. ”Alright, let’s go shopping. What do we need to truly grill the Krill?” he quipped, a wry grin on his face at his own shitty pun.

His gaze immediately settled on a bookmarked item. ”First, I need to ensure the continued integrity of our most valuable assets: our men.” With a decisive tap, he acquired the blueprint.

Blueprint: Gen-Mod ”Cognitive Integrity Protocol” (Core Addon)Description: A complex genetic and nanite-based protocol that integrates deep into the subject’s neural architecture. It ensures two primary safeguards:

Anti-Aggression Inhibition: Creates a powerful, instinctual aversion and physiological discomfort (e.g., severe nausea, neural feedback loop) if the subject attempts any direct, hostile action against the organization’s recognized assets, personnel, or core directives. This is a failsafe, not a constant mind-control.

Memory Contingency Trigger: Continuously monitors specific neural patterns associated with direct, unauthorized disclosure of sensitive organizational knowledge (e.g., attempting to speak or write specific classified information). Upon detection, it initiates a targeted bio-neural re-patterning, selectively erasing or obfuscating memories related to the organization’s inner workings, classified operations, or sensitive identities. This ensures that while they are otherwise free to pursue any life path after service, critical organizational secrets remain secure.

Key Features:

Covert Integration: The modifications are seamlessly integrated at a cellular level, undetectable by standard scans.

High Specificity: Memory erasure is highly targeted, aiming only for sensitive data, not general life experiences.

Post-Service Autonomy: Explicitly designed to allow full individual freedom and choice of life path after active service, provided the loyalty and non-disclosure clauses are not violated.

Self-Monitoring: Utilizes embedded bio-nanite clusters to monitor neural activity and activate the safeguards.

Price: 30,000,000 SP.

Current SP: 144,613,022

”Let’s just call this contingency,” he mused, leaning back. ”Can’t have loose lips sinking starships, especially not our starships.”

He scrolled slightly, his eyes narrowing on another crucial item. ”And if the Krill have already muddled with human minds... we need a way to unmuddle them.”

Blueprint: Neuro-Cognitive Re-Patterning Field Generator

Description: A highly specialized counter-intelligence technology designed to disrupt and neutralize external neuro-conditioning and mind-control protocols (such as those employed in MK-Ultra operations). It emits precise, adaptive frequency patterns that interfere with and unravel imposed neural pathways, restoring the subject’s conscious freedom and original cognitive autonomy. Can be configured for localized dispersal of a neuro-modulating aerosol for persistent environmental effect.

Key Features:

Adaptive Counter-Frequencies: Utilizes advanced AI to analyze and generate specific neural disruption frequencies tailored to break various forms of cognitive manipulation without causing widespread harm.

Memory Restoration Aid: Incorporates a secondary bio-feedback loop that aids in the re-establishment of original neural connections, facilitating the recovery of suppressed or altered memories.

Selectable Delivery: Can function as a focused directional emitter for individual targets or deploy a wide-area, breathable neuro-modulating aerosol for ambient effect in a controlled zone.

Cognitive Filtering: Possesses sophisticated algorithms to differentiate between hostile mind-control patterns and natural neural activity, minimizing impact on unaffected individuals.

Price: 75,000,000 SP.

Richard whistled softly. ”Ouch. That cuts deep, but entirely necessary if we’re going to liberate those poor souls they’ve twisted. Can’t fight a war if your own people are a liability.”

He scrolled again, browsing the ”Virtual Reality” section. This was not just for training; he envisioned it as another potential SP income generator, a way to democratize advanced experiences. His eyes landed on a particular entry, an almost predatory glint appearing in his gaze. ”Ah, here we go. This is exactly what we need to accelerate the Praetoriani. Time is a luxury we don’t have, and training in the ’real’ world is simply inefficient and time-consuming when you’re fighting a multi-millennia old empire of parasitic aliens.”

Blueprint Shop Item: Chronos Deep Dive System Blueprint

Category: Advanced Virtual Reality & Temporal Simulation (Blueprint Acquisition) Description: The Chronos Deep Dive System represents the apex of simulated reality technology. It allows users to experience digital environments with hyper-realistic fidelity, engaging all five senses. Its revolutionary capability lies in scalable time compression, where simulated time can unfold orders of magnitude faster than real-world time. This is achieved through a symbiotic relationship with Quantum Server Memory (QSM), which dynamically allocates processing power and data storage to render complex realities and manage accelerated temporal flow. The system’s resource consumption dynamically adjusts, scaling with the level of activity and desired time compression within the simulation.

Key Specifications/Benefits:

True Deep Dive Immersion: Utilizes direct neural interface technology (non-invasive, high-bandwidth brain-computer interface) to fully engage sight, sound, touch (with full haptic feedback), smell, and even taste, creating experiences virtually indistinguishable from reality.

Scalable Time Compression:

Base Rate: 1:1 (real-time).

Standard Compression: Up to 100:1 (100 simulated hours for every 1 real hour).

High Compression: Up to 10,000:1 (10,000 simulated hours for every 1 real hour), requiring significant Quantum Server Memory allocation.

Extreme Compression: Theoretical maximums of 100,000:1 or higher are possible for scenarios with minimal user interaction and simplified physics, though these push QSM to its limits.

Dynamic Quantum Server Memory (QSM) Consumption:

Base Consumption: Moderate QSM usage for realistic 1:1 or low-compression scenarios.

Time Compression: Higher compression ratios directly correlate with increased QSM consumption, as the quantum servers must process and render more simulated events per real-time second.

Activity Dependent: Memory usage dramatically increases with higher levels of user activity, complex environmental interactions, number of simulated entities, or intricate physics calculations within the digital environment. A quiet stroll consumes far less QSM than a large-scale battle simulation.

Hyper-Realistic Physics Engine: Integrates a next-generation physics engine capable of simulating real-world physical laws with exceptional accuracy, including fluid dynamics, material properties, energy transfer, and gravitational effects, vital for realistic training and design prototyping.

Adaptive Scenario Generation: Advanced AI can dynamically generate or adapt scenarios based on user input, learning objectives, or pre-defined parameters, ensuring infinite replayability and relevance.

Rapid Skill Acquisition: Enables individuals to gain years of experience, master complex skills, or plan intricate operations within mere days or hours of real time, accelerating learning and strategic readiness.

SP Cost: 48,000,000 SP.

Current SP: 21,613,022

Richard chuckled, a deep, satisfied sound. ”Perfect. Lina can design digital training courses, create digital Krill with perfectly accurate data. We’ll grill those Krill, indeed, but in a compressed timeline. Years of combat experience in mere days. Glorious.”

He spun his chair again, gazing out at the vastness of the subterranean base. He had just spent a fortune of his SP, but the gains were immeasurable. The future, with its hardened warriors, mind-liberated populations, and accelerated training, was looking brighter. His smile returned, wide and genuine. The game was truly on.
