Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 557: Final Round Begins, The Sword Sovereign

Round 3 ended quickly.

Among the Regalons, only Kexell and Bianca came up with a new True Concept that boosted their arsenal of powers.

The rest of the Regalons decided to take a bit more time.

But that didn’t stop them from achieving their goal.

With Kexell and Bianca taking two points for them, the first rank was in the bag.

Because even though others lost, Almond, Lily, and Admiral Rudra won their battles.

So out of ten battles total, Club Regalon won five.

Out of the ten clubs, the top five proceeded to take a long break.

They were:

Club Regalon

Club Echelon Fang

Club White Zenith

Club Broken Root

Club Thousand Eyes

The remaining five proceeded to an additional round to determine their ranking.

This time, the winners got ten hours of break total before the fourth and final round began.

The final round was an old and known round-robin formation to determine the total victories.

The club with the highest victories in 1v1 battles would be first, and those lower would be ranked accordingly.

The ten-hour break passed in a strange, suspended calm.

For most Grim Students, rest meant sleep, indulgence, or idle recovery. For the Regalons, rest meant pressure without noise. They spread across the quiet zones prepared by Grimverse, each choosing isolation not to relax, but to settle something unfinished inside themselves.

They had won Round 3.

They had secured first place going into the final round.

But none of them felt complete.

Not yet.

The fourth and final round was announced without ceremony.

No spectacle. No flourish.

Just inevitability.

[ Final Round — Round Robin Duels ]

[ Each club will face every other club in 1v1 battles. ]

[ Each victory grants one point. ]

[ Club with the highest total victories claims first place. ]

No randomness. No chaos.

Only comparison.

Only truth.

The colosseum changed again.

Gone were the floating plates and fractured gaps. The arena became clean, circular, and mercilessly simple. A smooth obsidian floor stretched to the horizon, with no cover, no traps, no environmental interference. The walls were far away, barely visible, marked only by faint sigils that prevented escape.

This was a place meant to show who you were when nothing else could help you.

The five clubs stood at their respective gates.

Club Echelon Fang radiated predatory sharpness; their members coiled like beasts waiting to pounce.

Club White Zenith felt pristine and overwhelming, their power clean, absolute, almost arrogant.

Club Broken Root exuded an ancient, grinding presence, endurance, and inevitability layered thick around them.

Club Thousand Eyes was unsettling, perception folding in on itself, every movement watched, predicted, countered before it happened.

These were veteran clubs. Not freshmen like Regalons. Club Regalon was the only freshman club to reach the final round.

But Club Regalon’s pressure was highest; their quiet postures oozed pure individualistic dominance, which made other clubs tense.

No shared aura.

No unified pressure.

Ten individuals, each distinct, each honed.

The order was decided quickly.

Regalon versus Echelon Fang first.

The opening duel was Silvester.

Across from him stood a Fang enforcer whose entire body was a lattice of hardened muscle and compressed force, every breath releasing a low growl that bent the air.

The moment the barrier dropped, Silvester felt it.

The mismatch. He knew his aspects would not overpower his opponent. But it was time.

’I will form it. The moment I fail, I’ll unleash it with the clearest feel I grasp, or I’ll lose.’

He knew his opponent would instantly finish him off at a moment of weakness.

His Inbound Carnage roared, gravity condensing, blade heavy enough to distort light. He struck once, Veinbreaker Drop, expecting resistance.

Instead, the Fang enforcer absorbed it.

Not deflected.

Absorbed.

The force rebounded, tearing through Silvester’s arms, snapping bones.

Silvester staggered.

And in that instant of failure, clarity arrived.

His stance shifted.

His breathing changed.

His eyes glimmered.

The incoming attack of Fang that he followed up to quickly finish off Silvester met with the burst of will filled with Silvester’s desire to achieve the power he envisioned.

The sword he conjured shattered.

His body glimmered like a radiant steel as Fang’s fist touched Silvester’s face.

And in that moment, brightness filled the arena as if a supernova exploded.

”Arghh!” Fang’s scream rang as his fist received over a thousand cuts at once before its pieces flew.

True Concept actualized—The Sword Itself.

His first True Concept, Inbound Carnage, had the power to treat Impact, Momentum, Hostile force, Kinetic force, and Destructive pressure as a type of energy resource, like how Almond gains a True Spirit when he kills a living being due to his Oblivion Ark true concept.

Like that, Silvester uses Carnage energy to empower his sword strikes to dealdevastatingg damage while remaining nearly invincible.

Of course, there were many ways one could get around this and defeat him, or overpower him.

His second True Concept, Steller Vein, conceptualized a unique structure of veins within his body that can channel any amount of force as long as he owns it, so this paired well with Inbound Carnage, as he could now flow the force through his body. He also increased this concept’s depth to allow for buffs when circulating stored force in Steller Vein, like increasing his weight or his weapon’s weight to deliver more devastating blows, stretching his body, and even stretching his weapon if he created it with his energy.

And now, this third concept he manifested was to bring out even more potential from his sword art and his other two True Concepts.

The space around Silvester sharpened. Lines appeared where none had existed. Thin, gleaming seams in reality, like the edges of an unsheathed blade intersecting the world. The ground beneath his feet scored itself with shallow cuts that spread outward in perfect symmetry.

Silvester inhaled.

His body hummed.

Inbound Carnage surged, but not as weight or pressure this time. Every hostile intent in the arena, every ounce of killing will from his opponent, every ripple of force moving toward him was drawn inward and refined.

Stellar Vein caught it.

Circulated it.

But instead of reinforcing muscle or bone, the energy flowed into something else entirely.

Silvester raised his right hand.

There was no weapon in it.

And yet, the Fang enforcer felt his instincts scream.

Silvester’s forearm elongated—not grotesquely, not crudely, but precisely, his flesh and energy reconfiguring as if guided by a blueprint older than steel.

The arm flattened, edges forming, surface smoothing into a mirror-bright blade that reflected not light, but threat.

He hadn’t summoned a sword.

He had become one.

And not just any sword, but a sword that he can construct and manipulate at will, with Steller Vein formation that was no longer bound by his previous lifeform’s structure.

True Concept — The Sword Itself.

His entire body was gleaming, his internals shining as utter sharpness and carnage bellowed out of him.

Those watching, especially those with better eyes felt surprised.

”That True Concept...it’s almost cheating-like.”

”So are all True Concepts of Will-type, but they are also hardest to manifest.”

”Tell that to that club’s leader. Nothing is as powerful as his Grim-Fated Cuts.”

”Interesting. He broke his physical foundational limits in a sense with this True Concept. Let’s see what he does.”

On the arena, Silvester didn’t attack. Instead, he invited Fang.

”Come.” Silvester grinned. ”Give me your best shot.”

Fang’s cold eyes locked on him as he clasped his palms before he opened his mouth.

In the next moment, circular waves shot out of his mouth before getting boosted by waves from his palm as even space around it was pulled and shattered.

But Silvester didn’t move an inch from his position despite this attack being his weakness.

Yes. This type of attack had no force that his Inbound Carnage could convert into Carnage energy.

Yes, that would have been the case had he not manifested the Sword Itself.

The moment those waves hit Silvester, the scene that Fang anticipated didn’t occur. Silvester didn’t bbreak downand disperse.

He transformed.

Because The Sword Itself reflected one of Silvester’s foremost desire in the path to power.

To have a sword that can adapt to anything.

And now, he was that sword itself.

Ting!!

Silvester gleamed and transformed into exactly one thousand swords as they hummed with Steller Vein formations in each of them, and each of them absorbed the waves with Inbound Carnage as it was possible for the structure of these swords.

Fang’s eyes widened.

Danger bells rang.

”Shit.”

In the next moment, all one thousand swords gleamed and turned into lights, boring a thousand holes throughout Fang’s body.

[ Club Regalon +1 Victory. ]

”Silvester needs a new title.”

”True.”

Right as Hiroshi was about to suggest one, Silvester arrived back in the platform and announced.

”Please call me The Sword Sovereign. Thank you.”
