Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 328: Progress Before The Deadline (22/22)

Just as Almond woke up, a tall beastfolk girl with cow ears and a curvy humanoid figure entered with a food cart.

”Ah, you woke up, leader! Dean said you’d wake up after roughly six hours, so we decided to bring food at that time, and you woke up just in time,” she said with a big smile.

Almond rubbed his eyes as he turned his head to her. ”You…Phisa, right? What happened to the mission?”

”A bit over an hour later after you fainted, the tide was over, and all Griminions were dead.

’Damn it. I missed out on a lot of Spirits!’

Almond sighed.

”You’re okay, right?” she asked upon seeing Almond sighing.

”Yeah, I am fine.” Almond smiled and said, ”Thanks for the food. You can leave it here.”

”Roger,” Phisa grinned. ”We were waiting for you before getting our mission evaluated, so after you are feeling good to go, please come down.”

”Noted. I’ll be there in half an hour.”

Almond got up. ’I didn’t use the favor, but I also used it since he saved me on his own.’

’I’ll have to thank him if I meet him next time.’

’For now…’ Almond’s eyes flickered with ghastly, spiritual, green-golden flame wisps before an ethereal pot appeared in front of him, looking demonic yet otherworldly and full of patterns that emphasized exotic beastly mysticism.

Spirit Pocket: [ 84,383 Spirits ]

It was time to cook a Spirit Wraith in a brand-new style. And then, learn the clone’s ability to enter Earth in the first layer.

Almond organized the spirits first.

3 — Heroic Challenge Boss’ spirits.

18 — Intelligent humanoid Spirits.

376 — Immortal King Griminion Spirits.

8,493 — Immortal Griminion Spirits.

32,190 — High-Mortal Griminion Spirits.

43,302 — Mortal Griminion Spirits.

The humanoid spirits were of people who died on the battlefield. Seven were Immortal-rank, and the rest were High-Mortal.

Almond looked at the mysterious pot of Spirit Kodoku that he had created with the knowledge he had gained after comprehending his Spirit Dealer’s power source.

When spirits shred each other inside the pot after taking on their true forms in spiritual structure and eating each other, their spirituality combines with each other.

Spirits were a bundle of information that had the essence of imitated life gained from fundamental energy like Prana via its conceptual power’s source—Spirit Animation, which was the core of the Spirit Dealer class.

So Almond had learned that and knew how Spirit Animation worked in this pot to create the Spirit Wraith, which was different when compared to Spirit Animation which occurred in the process of Spirit Forge Factory to create items. Discover hidden stories at

Both processes were different, but their center source was a single conceptual power—Spirit Animation.

By gaining its knowledge, Almond created and upgraded Spirit Kodoku as well as Spirit Forge Factory.

Instead of twenty, Almond put thirty spirits inside the pot.

Three belonged to Immortal-rank intelligent powerhouses, one of which was Brian’s spirit, and the last humanoid he decided to add was none other than his first Heroic Spirit—Ruined Lord Kizalor of Meltizaar.

Afterward, he added 26 Immortal King Griminions’ spirits.

’Wish I could get the spirit of the monster that almost killed me. It had space powers, so it could become a big fighting asset to me with a Spirit Wraith centralized on its powers.’

Shaking his head, Almond forgot about it. It was gone, so it didn’t matter.

He initiated the Spirit Kodoku as all spirits inside took on their forms, and a brutal, raw battle began between them.

”Hey, kiddo. Looks like you’re ready.”

Almond saw Big D appearing beside him while looking at the pot. ”Nice. The Maw of Forgotten blessed you with an interesting power, so it’s good that you managed to keep it.”

Turning to Almond, Big D added, ”The Hollowstar forces will land in a maximum of five days and a minimum of three days, according to my informant.”

Almond’s eyes sharpened.

”Also, your Immortal Emperor Prana Art spirit won’t awaken before you break through to High-Mortal, so forget about it until then.”

”I see. No wonder it completely turned to stasis since yesterday. It looks like it needs something that I can only access after breaking through to the High-Mortal rank.”

”Indeed. It needs a better vessel for connectivity. A mortal lifeform isn’t good enough. Anyway, I was just here to inform you about this new confirmed deadline. Once you finish learning the clone ability, I’ll be here to send it to the first layer on your planet.”

Almond nodded.

Big D left, and Almond also sat down and took out the ability scroll.

Almond frowned. ’I thought it would be all technical and elemental assets, but I also need to learn a conceptual power for this, huh?’

He didn’t want to risk it, so he put the scroll away and also put away the Spirit Kodoku pot.

He would know once the spirits inside the pot finished devouring each other and the last one standing came into existence with brand new evolution and potential.

For now, he started eating because he was hungry as fuck and then freshened up with a shower before leaving.

”Boss is here!”

”Let’s go! Time to get our rewards!”

Almond and the gang went to the Quest Log facility and began their evaluation inside a chamber one by one.

The academy had perfect visuals on the entire battlefield, so the academy’s system already knew who fought how and who killed how many Griminions.

With them entering inside evaluation chamber one by one and getting identified, the academy system would evaluate their mission.

Naturally, they were not the first ones because there was also a faction of the academy full of Immortal Kings and Immortals, so they took the first spot in the mission ranking.

The other factions who participated also arrived to see when the Mad Nuts faction came for their evaluation.

As the evaluation progressed, the other people were surprised by the points everyone got.

”So low?”

”Yeah, this faction also has the top five newbies, so how come everyone has such low killing scores?”

”I heard their leader, Almond Crowshade, killed Brian.”

”Yeah, killing an Immortal as a Mortal is nuts. He must have a good score.”

Mad Nuts faction members were nonchalant, unbothered by the comments.

In fact, they were sneering internally because they knew that once Almond was evaluated, everyone would go bonkers.

Almond remained last, but the evaluation was fast, so his turn finally came, and the system announced the result.

[Almond Crowshade, congratulations on your Top-tier performance in the mission. You have killed 197 Immortal-rank Griminions and helped kill over a hundred Immortal King Griminions.]

[You have earned a total of 11,103 Academy Points.]

A strange silence descended in the Quest Log’s hall, which was broken shortly.

”What the fuck?!”

”That’s wrong, right?!”

”No fucking way!”

”I knew he was strong, but surely this is bullshit. He is just a newbie of Mortal rank! How come he killed so many?”

”We didn’t see him much in our area.”

”I saw him, but he was at the front and not in visibility most of the time.”

”Space powers.”

”Fuck, how can a Mortal newbie help kill Immortal King monsters? That’s crap.”

”System doesn’t lie. You know this academy was created by Grimworld. It can’t be wrong.”

”But still….what the fuck…”

While everyone was reeling in shock, Almond told everyone via telepathy, ’I’m going to the Temporal Chamber facility now. See you all later.’

He had only 3 to 5 days. He wanted to learn clone ability, but the safer option would be to do it in the Temporal Chamber in case he required more days to learn it.
