Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 309: Progress Before The Deadline (3), Getting a Prana Art

Without further ado, Almond briefly used his domain and teleported in front of the door where two statue guards that looked fake became alive.

Almond felt their gazes on him, but only for a brief moment as if scanning him and checking something.

He continued walking and entered inside the door, but it was clear that this library was also a pocket dimension of sorts as Almond found himself in a world of no sky or ground.

He floated automatically and could move just by thinking.

There were a bunch of books of various designs and sizes floating around in this world.

”As expected of Senior Harken! Look at the amount of big books surrounding him!”

”Damn, I am envious.”

Almond looked in the direction of the commotion and saw a man wearing a mage robe and round glasses surrounded by over twenty books.

Most of the students only had a couple to five books around them.

”Wait, that book! Isn’t it one of the top-tier ones?!”

”It’s Soaring Bird’s Divine Song. Holy crap!”

”That’s an Immortal Emperor rank Prana Art! The highest rank available on the second layer!”

”He won’t need to change Prana Art until he reaches there. Fuck, to get this rank of Prana Art so soon, Harken is lucky.”

”There’s no luck. I was meant for this.” Harken smiled at his friend before reaching out for the book, his eyes glowing.

However, that book suddenly dodged his hand and streaked away, making everyone dumbfounded.

”What?!”

”What the fuck?”

Everyone quickly followed the direction of the book’s flight and saw the book rotating around another student, even appealing to him.

Naturally, that was Almond.

But that wasn’t all because, in just a few seconds, a storm of books enveloped Almond.

The commotion attracted everyone as they gathered around.

”Who the fuck is that?” Harken asked in a suppressed rage, his eyes trembling.

”That’s Almond! The guy who got first place in the Newbie Survival Event.”

”Oh yeah, I saw some of his videos. That dude got crazy abilities!”

”My books!”

”Fuck.”

Almond was speechless as well to find himself surrounded by a storm of books.

However, the top-tier books of Immortal Emperor rank that rotated closest to Almond shooed away other books forcefully.

The students were dumbfounded upon seeing this.

”What the fuck is going on?”

”Have you ever seen something like this...?”

”Fuck me. He’s got all the Immortal Emperor ranked books that are here!”

”They are fighting for him!”

Almond saw that only 67 books remained, and all of them were of Immortal Emperor rank.

”Stop!” Almond shouted.

Suddenly, all the books froze in their place.

Almond blinked, ”Oh, it worked.”

”…”

”…”

”…”

”Who is best among you?” Almond asked, his eyes filled with curiosity.

The books moved as if looking at each other, and then suddenly, they began fighting.

”…”

”…”

”…”

The students were speechless, devasted, and envious to death.

”Why are these books so lifelike?! Fuck, they are fighting for him…wish something like this happened to me.”

”Immortal Emperor rank Prana Arts have a spirit in them. I heard that when you start learning it, a spirit with intelligence also manifests in order to aid you.”

”Aid us? Like helping us train?”

”Indeed. That and more, but I don’t know in detail. You have to ask students with Immortal Emperor rank Prana Art.”

”I know one senior who has it.”

”I’ve heard about a few of them, but the chance to meet them is low. They are all powerful, with most being at Immortal King Lifeform.”

While the students were talking, Almond observed the books fighting against each other, but it was going nowhere since they couldn’t hurt each other.

They just smacked and pushed each other.

”Alright, stop!”

The books froze at his command and obediently positioned before Almond.

”I can only have one of you, and I want the one most suitable to me,” Almond said somberly. ”Discuss amongst yourself who is most suitable to me.”

However, the books began fighting against each other again.

”Stop!” Almond helplessly said and thought as he eyed the books. ’Damn, how am I going to choose the most suitable one for me?’

”How about you make them see your experience? Soul energy can hold your thoughts, memories, and experiences, so do that and infuse them into the books.”

Almond heard the voice, and it belonged to an elf girl looking in her twenties with shining blond hair smiling at him.

Nodding at her, he said, ”Thanks. I’ll do that.”

Many students showed envy at this exchange of words, indicating that the elf girl was kind of famous.

Almond closed his eyes and released threads made of soul energy that shot toward the books.

”I want only one that’s most suitable to me, so don’t fight and make the choice.”

The books nodded.

One of the students laughed with a silly expression and said, ”It’s my first time seeing a student telling the books to make a choice when usually it’s the other way around. What kind of monster is he to have this many books go for him?”

”I heard that the books here are attracted by one’s overall attributes, and not just about powers, but also mindset and character based on their desires.”

”Whatever the case, this newbie is going to be strong. I better inform my faction about this incident here.”

”True, I have to do the same. It’d be awesome if he joins Leon Blaze Faction.”

Naturally, the students didn’t leave yet. The ranks of books below Immortal Emperor were Immortal King rank, Immortal Rank, and High Mortal. These books were returned to other students after the Immortal Emperor books kicked them out of selections.

The students began making their choices while Almond was sending his experience to the books.

However, Harken was waiting with clenched fists.

He was the only one here at this time who got an Immortal Emperor rank book, but it left him.

As such, he hoped Almond wouldn’t choose that book, so he could pick it again.

’I, Harken of House Mildar, will have to pick leftover...’ Harken’s eyes slightly reddened as he watched Almond.

’I don’t like this.’

”Senior Harken, are you planning to wait?”

”Of course, he has to wait. I don’t think this newbie will pick Soaring Bird’s Divine Song, so senior will be able to pick that book once Almond is done.”

The few students nearby saw Harken’s expression and quietly left without saying anything anymore.

On the other hand, Almond finally finished the process.

”So, who’s going to be my Prana Art?” Almond asked as he swept his glance across the books.

The books moved and looked at each other before almost all of them moved back... except for one.

The one book that was black with scaled patterns and carved design of golden fangs. It had a vertical eye at the center and a wing-like extender from its edges.

The students looked at it curiously, just like Almond, who stretched his hand and grabbed the book.

The eye blinked, and the maws holding fangs grinned. It appeared creepy but gave an innocent vibe.

”Infuse a bit of your Prana in the book,” the blond-haired elf girl said. ”Immortal Emperor Prana Arts are personal and can only be used by one person. This book will enter your source space, and once you begin learning it, it will transform into a spirit.”

”Interesting,” Almond said as he caressed the book slightly and infused Prana in it, causing it to vanish. At the same time, a name rang in his mind. Find your next adventure on
