Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1151: Plans To Grow Stronger

Jest remained seated for a couple more minutes, going through the battles he fought with Seraphina, making sure every move he made and how it was countered by the opponent was scrutinized.

He made sure he learned everything there was to know about Seraphina. After all, his path is all about copying his opponents and making what he learned better.

In other words, he can learn any skill or technique through observation, but in the end, he will transform what he had copied into something way more fancier and better.

After reviewing everything, he decided to take his original plan and go fight more swordsmen.

As someone who is walking a completely different path, he can only find ways to advance his path on his own. There is no preplanned path for him to merely follow.

So he chose to return to society and see if he could find some swordsmen to challenge.

Before coming to the Immortal World, he had challenged many swordsmen in the lower realm, and through the many battles he fought, he was able to create a solid foundation for his own sword path.

Now, it seems he must get back to such to that life again.

This time, however, he will be facing Sword Emperors and above in what is promised to be the biggest challenge of his life yet.

”It will be fun,” he said with a smile before taking a few items from his space ring.

”That lady wouldn’t just let me go scot-free, so I’d better disguise myself before appearing back in society.”

Jest’s intelligence is on a whole different level.

He had already seen what people are capable of before coming to the Immortal World. This means he had already made plans to change his appearance in case things happened as they did.

Now, with a dye and a few other items, within an hour, he turned into a redhead with an above-average handsome appearance.

He also swapped his sword, taking it out with a black leather sheath. He changed into a pair of grey leather robes and was soon on his way.

His destination doesn’t matter. For now, he wants to level up his swordsmanship, so he left the cave and started chasing his dreams.

’In a way, that crazy lady helped me see a hint of the next path I should take. If she were slightly normal, I would have searched for her and thanked her.’ Jest smiled, recalling how many times he came close to dying at Seraphina’s sword.

The thought of thanking her was wiped from his mind the next second, causing Jest to smile.

A week later, he returned to Shengdao City.

This time, he knew not to keep his sword in hand, since the last time it had nearly resulted in his death. He walked down the street, listening in on several conversations while he planned his path.

After roaming for a while, he decided to grab a bite and gather information since people love to talk mostly in restaurants (inns).

As expected, the moment he entered, he saw dozens of people eating. The majority of them were talking, showing they were comfortable where they were.

Jest had done this many times, so he looked for a table closer to the window and sat down. He was served, and so he started eating while keeping a close ear to what everyone was saying.

He managed to gather some information that would help him.

It turned out in Shengdao City, aside from there being an abundance of swordsmen, there were also many hunter teams that a person could join and frequent a place called Devil’s Maw.

According to what he gathered, the Devil’s Maw is like a land for demon beasts. It is extremely dangerous, but also a place for cultivators to gather materials and sell to grow their cultivation.

Jest found out that to get there, one needs to be in a team. Naturally, some talkatives even made him understand that to join a team, having the strength of an Empyrean is required.

Of course, since swordsmen are regarded as powerful, a Sword King with a good enough reputation can easily find a team to join.

Jest weighed his options and soon realized this wasn’t something he wanted. Of course, there will be battles against other humans, since when it comes to human greed, no one knows how deep it goes.

But even if he gets to battle humans, there is no telling that they will be the best of the best. So he started waiting for more suggestions.

Since people were talking, he was bound to hear something interesting.

Soon, a conversation between two youngsters caught his attention.

”I learned the Whispering Wind Sword Sect will be taking in new disciples a year from now,” one of them asked the other.

”I heard the same thing, too. How long has it been since they accepted new disciples again...?”

”3000 years ago, if my memory serves me right.”

The two nodded, taking a sip of their wine.

”I suppose being the top-ranked sect in this star system gives them the authority to go thousands of years without accepting new disciples.”

”True. Although their rivals, the Azure Blade Sword Sect, had accepted new disciples 100 years ago, I hear they too will be opening their gate for new disciples 10 years from today.”

”Good thing I still have my token from the last time. I guess I will wait another 10 years before joining them. After all, getting an invitation to take part in the Whispering Wind Sword Sect is nearly impossible for ordinary folks like us.”

”Indeed. And who are they kidding setting such cheating method to disgrace the poor and less privilage...Tch”

The look in the two youngsters’ eyes said they wanted to join one of these two sects; however, their background isn’t the best.

They have no powerful backing.

Of course, joining a top-ranked sect like the Whispering Wind Sword Sect would be an honor; however, they knew it would not be easy.

Such a sect would have only geniuses, so despite their genius, they didn’t seem too enthusiastic.

”I mean, trying our luck isn’t too bad. Who knows, maybe we might just pass and become disciples there. I know I would be happy if I entered the same sect as heirs of powerful immortal families.”

His friend also smiled. ”I suppose you are right. I, too, would love to join such a sect.”

Jest nodded to himself, knowing that if this sect was the topmost-ranked sect, then joining them would give him an endless number of geniuses to fight with.

’Naturally, that will speed things up for me since I would just have to challenge them and experience their sword realm for as long as I could.’

Jest beamed with happiness.

This was a perfect path forward for him.

However, before joining such a place, he needed to have some presence in this city. After all, he later did some research and found out that having a reputation would help him in the long run.

So Jest chose to go to the Devil’s Maw alone and started working to clear the demon beasts. Killing demon beasts is something that keeps the planets safe, so there is a ranking and rewards.

The ranking is called the Demon Hunter Chart. There is a team chart and a solo chart. Since Jest went there as an individual, he was registered in the Solo Demon Hunter Chart.

He used the name Genesis, so when he started hunting, the points added up to his name, Genesis.

He planned to get into the top 100,000, since that is considered good enough to give him some standing in society.

Jest had only a couple of months to make this happen, so he entered the wild just like he did back in the Sword Valley. Jest faced many dangers then, and now he started facing more.

Beasts of all shapes and sizes kept coming for his life, but as someone who had already been through such danger, he didn’t panic and only started his massacre.

Soon, weeks passed, but Jest continued killing demon beasts.
