Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 348: Veydris, the Abyss Knight

”Akira, you wouldnʼt happen to know a thing or two about the Lost Knights, would you?” Kent asked, looking at the small human standing beside him.

His interest has been piqued after Akira made that comment.

⟪Thatʼs the thing, Master. In the billions of years this universe has existed, many events have happened that, for some reason, are wiped from everyoneʼs mind.

A typical example is the Night Riders. Their times were pivotal moments, yet they were lost in history. This history of the Lost Knights and the Last War of the Sanguine has also been lost to time.

However, now that I have seen these names and descriptions, I can start recalling some of these events.

And from what I know about the War of the Sanguine and the Lost Knights, I have to say, Master, you are very fortunate.⟫

”Do tell, Akira,” Kent smiled, glancing at Veydris, who stood with his greatsword jammed into the ground like the knight he is.

⟪I canʼt accurately say much about the War of the Sanguine, but I can say something about the Lost Knights and the events that led to their demise.

I know that the Lost Knights were known as the Knights of the Mother. Many also called them the guardians of the abominations.

The reason is simple: these 14 knights protected the Temple of Sabatan. Before we talk about how they died, know that the Temple of Sabatan was the gateway to the Realm of the Lost.

Again, before we discuss the Realm of the Lost, we must first understand who the Lost are. In the vast cosmos, some races prohibit interracial marriages.

Among these races are the ancient Vampires and the true Werewolves.

Long ago, and even to this day, if two beings of opposite sexes from different races come together and copulate, their children are deemed abominations.

As such, they are either killed or banished. Because of this, most parents hide their children to avoid discovery. But if they are discovered, they sometimes send them away to safe havens.

One of these havens is the Realm of the Lost.

It was said that when an abomination reaches the Temple of Sabatan, its name changes to ”Lost Child.” The temple wardens take in all these children.

It was also said that even if an emperor was chasing after them, the moment they entered the temple, the 14 knights would not allow anyone to harm them.

They were that monstrous.

This temple is the gateway to the Realm of the Lost, a secret realm said to have originated in the primordial era and is protected by the Mother.

She welcomes her children and ensures they are shielded from harm.

However, over time, the Lost Children began to grow into powerhouses, and as a result, the various races opposed to these abominations grew uneasy.

So, the ancient Vampires, known as the Creatures of the Night, launched an attack, and the sympathizers of the abominations retaliated.

The war, which initially had no name, quickly became known as the Sanguine War. It was said that the more death and destruction there was, the stronger the Creatures of the Night became.

Blood was their weapon, and as more died, they grew unstoppable.

It was said that when they reached the Temple of Sabatan, they were like supreme warriors bathed in blood. However, the last stand against them was the 14 guardians, whose origins and nature remained a mystery.

It was said that each guardian slew 6,666 Creatures of the Night, but there were simply too many. In a final, desperate effort, they used their life essence to seal the Realm of the Lost.⟫

Akira and Kent looked at the metal knight, and smiles appeared on their faces.

⟪Veydris, the Abyss Knight. He was the Void Guardian, one who could kill someone from thousands of miles away with a single slash of his greatsword.

He was said to have supreme control over the void and could wield it with his sword as effortlessly as one drinks water.

I donʼt know much about the others, but now that I know his name is Veydris, I can tell you he was a formidable harbinger of souls, a demonic swordsman, the Void Cutter...⟫

As Akira listed his titles, Kent noticed the red slits of Veydrisʼs eyes begin to glow, and his grip on his sword tightened.

⟪I only have one piece of advice for you, Master. Make sure to keep upgrading him and, if possible, awaken the others.

I believe the battle dolls are destined to become these knights. This means you still have nine battle dolls to acquire, and each will require upgrades.

So, youʼll need to start seeking out quests instead of waiting for them to come to you.⟫

”Iʼll do that, Akira,” Kent said, his gaze fixed on the knight before him.

”Kaizo, you have a partner to train with,” Kent announced, prompting Kaizo, who was punching a dummy, to grin. Kent smirked and then issued a command to the knight.

”Donʼt kill him too many times. I donʼt want him traumatized.”

Veydris turned to face the brute, then vanished and reappeared inside an arena Akira had built for Kaizo to train in.

⟪Heʼs going to traumatize him,⟫ Akira remarked.

”I know. But Iʼll just cheer him up when we go back out there. Weʼll do some dungeon runs to bring back his lost spirit,” Kent smiled.

⟪Itʼs all coming together, Master. Very soon, you will understand the importance of this tower and how best to utilize it. Just keep going. Gaia and I are always available to help.⟫

”It warms my heart to hear that, Akira. Iʼll be sure to ask for her help when and if I need it.”

⟪One last thing. Saden and her teammates arrived a month ago. It seems theyʼve killed everyone linked to the slave business the Malric were running.

They even went as far as hunting down those who bought slaves from them and eliminating everyone.

So, aside from your battle with the evil sect and those idiots, the sudden massacre of hundreds by some mysterious figures has also become a topic of discussion in the town.⟫

Akira smiled.

⟪I have to admit, the Night Rider lady is very thorough with her killing, and those Soul Sentinels are equally monstrous.⟫
