Global Gods: Start with a lottery system

Chapter 369 Chip SlaveThe captain of the garrison only saw the last scene. In fact, Wang Ming’s breakout was also full of danger.

She took the lead and rushed towards the sand bandits who had gathered together. She used the magic·gravity blast to shake away a large circle of sand bandits, and then crashed directly into a ”wolf spider”, almost completely losing speed.

Four or five energy hooks followed one after another, completely breaking the energy shield of the ”Peacekeeper”. If she hadn’t been wearing the magic·anti-gravity field, which made the thrown hooks float upwards the moment they approached her, her incarnation would have been opened with twelve or thirteen blood holes.

The next moment, the ”Peacekeeper” quickly recovered its speed under the impact of her unfamiliar subordinates behind her.

Another magic·gravity blast shook away all the sand bandits in front, revealing the familiar yellow sand scenery in front.

The breakout was successful!

The group of sand bandits gathered at the rear of the train was completely broken away, and Wang Ming rushed out side by side with the three captains of the joint brigade.

Even though they were leaning against the train on one side and lost half of the attack, the three joint brigades still suffered heavy losses.

The sand bandits that rushed out were all good at using energy hooks. They stopped where they were, and after one hook penetrated a layer of energy shield, they took out another energy hook and repeated the previous action.

In this operation, these large sand bandit groups did not skimp on the energy hook reserves in their hands, as can be seen from the number of energy hooks they used to hook the train.

Using this method, the three joint brigades were hooked just by passing through, killing nearly two hundred people.

However, fortunately, there were basically no sand bandits who could keep up with the joint brigade that broke out of the encirclement. The sand bandits who were jammed in front were basically in a parking state, and the sand bandits on the other side of the train were not at full speed.

On the contrary, the joint brigade did not lose much speed when breaking through. Once they lost the blockade, they returned to the highest speed within two or three seconds, leaving the sand bandits behind.

Some of the sand bandits who chased after them were left far behind by them. After chasing for several kilometers, they found the traces of the Quantum City team and retreated in panic.

They joined the garrison team of the Quantum City. In fact, this was the first time that the drivers of the United Brigade met the personnel of the Quantum City.

Before this, the drivers of the United Brigade had kept a distance from them under the advice of the veteran garrison captain who had died. They were in different carriages and had never met these mysterious guys even when they were eating in the dining carriage.

This was the first formal meeting between the two sides in a strict sense. The drivers of the United Brigade took a breath of cold air and felt a chill when they really saw these rumored ones.

The nearly 100 drivers in the lead were obviously not human. Their right eyes were uniformly red, and every move was accompanied by a special mechanical rhythm, steady and uniform.

The one-eyed one that seemed to be emitting red light was something they had heard of from the United District. It was the mechanical scanning eye of the Quantum City Mechanical Guard.

Following them were rows of numb and sluggish humans!

Most of these people are much bigger than ordinary people, and they can be identified as awakened radiators.

But from the side, you can vaguely see that there is a silver chip behind their necks that almost covers the entire back of their necks. The silver lines extending from the chip spread all the way to the side of the neck before disappearing under the skin.

Especially at the intersection where the silver metal wires form a loop that pierces the blue blood vessels under the skin, it looks particularly terrifying.

These joint area drivers can’t help but associate these people with a word they have heard before, ”chip slaves”.

There are only two sources of chip slaves. One is the drivers who were captured by the motorcycle group who tried to cross the quantum city.

These drivers were originally radiators, but one had bad luck and the other was not strong enough. They were captured by the guards of the quantum city and transformed into chip slaves.

The other is the death row prisoners in the Gilded City. There is a death penalty called desert exile, which is actually to let these death row prisoners not wear any anti-radiation equipment and be dragged directly into the desert by freight trains.

If they can withstand the radiation and awaken successfully, they will be sold to the quantum city. If they do not awaken, they will naturally die, which is also considered as the execution of the death penalty.

There are always people who do not want to die, or simply want to die later, and voluntarily exile to the desert. Therefore, many people are dragged into the desert every year, awaken into radiators, and are directly sold and transformed into chip slaves during the weak period after awakening.

The United District can also make a lot of profits from the quantum city by selling death row prisoners every year.

After the transformation, the chip slaves cannot disobey the orders issued by the quantum city. Once they disobey the orders, try to remove the chip or dare to harm the interests of the quantum city, the self-destruction program in the chip will directly burn the brain stem connected to it.

Once the brain stem is burned, no matter how good the treatment is, it can only be restored to a vegetative state at most. Therefore, once they are transformed into chip slaves, there is almost no way back.

This is also the most feared ending for all the motorcycle group members who want to cross the quantum city. In comparison, escaping back to the Yongwang Desert to become a sand bandit can at least retain their self and make their own limited choices.

But even though it is so dangerous, there is still an endless stream of young people from Gilded City who choose to become drivers with the intention of traveling through the quantum city.

However, the dream created by the Great Rift Valley of Ruins is too beautiful. It is a ruin left by the technological civilization of the last era, and the environment formed by high-concentration radiation can be promoted to a high-level radiator...

It is said that the artificial intelligence that controls the entire quantum city also comes from the Great Rift Valley of Ruins.

Whether it is the rumors of wealth everywhere or the legends left by the car kings, the idle young people in the Gilded City flock to it.

Freedom, dreams, wealth, strength, these are always in the rumors of the Great Rift Valley of Ruins, so there is never a shortage of drivers who aim to cross the quantum city.

And the quantum city will never lack chip slaves who can intercept these drivers...

This is a cycle, a vicious circle, a curse on the low-level drivers in the Gilded City...

In the quantum city guards, non-human robots are one level higher than chip slaves. Even if they have to retreat, chip slaves have to cover the robots.

This is not a class contradiction between humans and machines. It is simply because robots are more expensive, and the quantum city provides chip slaves with high-energy food and some medicine expenses for maintenance...

If these inhumane behaviors are not taken into account, the joint brigade actually has no contradiction with the quantum city team at this time, and even their goals are the same.

This is just the middle section of the Everlook Desert. If the Quantum Guard wants to return to the Quantum City, they will also need the charging piles on the freight train...
