Global Gods: Start with a lottery system

Chapter 367 Desert Robbery (Part 2)The train ran smoothly on the railway. As a freight train traveling between Gilt City and Quantum City during special periods, Gilt City paid more attention to it and added four more brigades than usual.

The four teams with a total of 2,000 riders, plus the three permanent brigades in Quantum City, are enough to resist the attacks of three top large-scale sand pirate groups head-on.

However, the two sides never communicated with each other. The brigade stationed on the freight train seemed very normal, but their attitude was very indifferent. The three new brigades that got on the train were deeply wary.

After all, Quantum City’s methods would make even Sand Pirates, whose hands were stained with countless blood, feel terrified. These riders who joined the team directly under the United District were also selected from various districts and towns in Gilt City, so of course they were unavoidable.

On the one hand, there is the anger that people who are not my race must be different, and on the other hand, there is a kind of faint pity for this.

As the leader of this operation in the joint area, Wang Ming has no time to reconcile the conflicts between the two sides. They are a weird group that is spliced together because of interests. It is meaningless to engage in actions that are not in harmony with each other, not to mention those mechanical heads. You may not necessarily follow this approach.

The nearly ten-hour drive made the joint brigade a little sleepy, but this was only half of the trip. The freight train was already bloated and lengthy. After carrying an extra 1,500 people and the corresponding locomotive, the speed became even slower. It took two full days to go back and forth between the two places.

The wheels on both sides of the carriage are softly wrapped in the rails. The excellent shock absorption measures and the smooth speed make the train rarely vibrate, and even the friction between the wheels and rails is reduced to an extremely low level.

The driving process is very comfortable, and the unchanging desert scenery outside the window makes people drowsy.

So when the increasingly complicated noise gradually became louder, the sleepy riders took several beats to realize that there was an enemy attack!

The dense crowds of men and horses gradually covered the original yellow color of the desert. The riders in the joint area who were accustomed to their always having a huge advantage had a dark cloud in their hearts. Even the pace of running to the combat compartment to pick up the car seemed a little weak.

The number of people who came was really astonishing. In the past, no one would have dared to openly provoke the nerves of the entire Gilded City’s senior management. The current explanation is that in the past, they had always ridiculed the major sandstorms that ”gathered like a pile of X, scattered like sand all over the sky.” The thieves are truly united, and this power is enough to intimidate the rule of Gilded City.

You must know that the freight railway is not only leading to Quantum City. The commerce and trade in this direction can only be said to be a common snack in Gilded City. The real feast is the other directions leading to Paradise City, Fantasy City, etc. Freight in a big city...

Just when the drivers of the joint team were still a little slow, the dark group of sand pirates had arrived at the carriage in the blink of an eye.

Magnetic hooks made of thick hemp ropes were thrown out by them. The magnetized hooks got stuck on the window edge of the carriage, between the wheel hubs, and at the connection between the two carriages...

Nearly ten thousand hooks and ropes were densely packed in the gaps of half of the carriages, and then there was a struggle between these nearly ten thousand locomotives and the train.

This kind of weapon, which is extremely difficult to use and only appears very rarely in battles between high-level veteran drivers, is now available to all Sand Pirates. It does not require much proficiency, as long as you can throw it, use it, and drive.

The locomotives and trains that threw the hook ropes remained relatively stationary, and the riders tied the other end of the hook ropes to the vehicle body.

Slowly turn the handlebar to the other side, thousands of locomotives work together, and the margin left between the train wheels and the track during the design is suddenly stretched.

A huge grinding sound that made your teeth ache was heard, and soon it was replaced by the sound of metal breaking. A stink spread out and was suddenly forgotten by the speed of nearly 100 kilometers per hour...

There were non-combatant staff on the train who shivered and opened the window on the other side. While praying that the quality of the Gilded City’s project was good enough, they stuck their heads out and looked down, but in despair they saw the other side of the carriage. The wheel on the side has disappeared. It is unknown which section of railway track it was embedded in. Only half of the axle is left idling there.

The carriage was tilted slightly in the direction pulled by the sand thieves, one side was slightly lifted, and the connection between the wheel and axle on the other side was probably deformed.

Just as the entire train slowly tilted and the car body was slightly raised, the side doors of the five large carriages located in the center of the train slowly lifted upwards, and a downward ramp popped up. One thousand five hundred streamlined, sci-fi-style Strange silver locomotives poured out, and the speed difference between them and the trains caused these locomotives to be quickly distanced by the freight trains and disappeared from people’s sight.

The freight train that suddenly lost part of its weight was lifted up a little, especially the middle carriages, which were lifted at an angle of nearly 30 degrees. The violent vibration shook the locomotive that had just stepped on it. A large number of United District riders around her were also shaken by the shock.

The three brigades of Quantum City have separated from the freight train. Their assembly speed is extremely fast. Their efficiency is as good as the riders in the joint area who do not get sleepy or yawn a few times. It is a kind of discipline that is engraved in the bone marrow!

Of course, this behavior also led to the resentment of some United District riders.

”What! He just evacuated without even saying hello, showing no spirit of cooperation at all.”

A driver wearing a radiation-proof suit muttered that the noise of the violent friction between the wheels and the track in the carriage was not small, but this sentence still reached the ears of some people around him, triggering a further round of dissatisfaction.

Wang Ming still had the same indifferent expression, and his voice was neither loud nor quiet, and he just calmly repeated ”Open the side door of the carriage!”.

Some team veterans couldn’t help but admire him.

But it all seemed a bit late. The wear and tear on the side of the train was far greater than everyone imagined, and soon these riders who did not realize the seriousness of the problem paid the price.

A young driver who was close to the door switch finally reached the switch, and the entire side of the carriage slowly lifted up. When Wang Ming, who was near the door, twisted the handlebar and prepared to jump out, a series of metal snapping sounds sounded, and the other side of the train The axle on one side was also unable to bear the weight of the lateral pulling force and broke apart. The entire train tilted at a 45-degree angle. The tight magnetic hook cable was pulled tight by the outgoing locomotive.

This time, the combined force of the train’s own weight and pulling force acted on the train. It was as if the entire train was torn off the rails with one hand, and slid for several kilometers in the hot yellow sand before coming to a stop under the huge friction. Down.

Wang Ming also rolled back into the carriage following the derailment, and was piled together with the locomotives in the joint area like scraps.

”After all, is it still a step too late? Is it because the planning when encountering the enemy is a little slower?”

The girl frowned slightly, her expression remained calm, and she was calmly thinking about her possible faults and how to deal with them next.
