Earth's Greatest Magus

Damo stood before Emery and Ashaka, a striking transformation evident in his presence. His aura surged with renewed vigor, vibrant and pulsing with energy. The young monk had not only achieved full recovery but had also experienced a remarkable boost to his spirit force and comprehension of the laws governing the elements. As Emery examined Damo’s newfound power, the details unfolded before him like a tapestry of potential:

[Damo]

[Magus Realm – Half Moon]

[law of Light -9%]

[Law of Water – 15%]

[Law of Earth – 13%]

[Law of Plant – 14%]

[Law of Wind – 3%] [Law of Ice – 3%]

[Law of Fire – 3%]

[Law of Metal – 2%]

[Law of Lighting – 2%]

[Battle power: 252 (322)]

[Soul force: 382 (512)]

Damo had spectacularly unlocked proficiency in five new elemental laws, which complemented his existing mastery. His soul force had nearly doubled, placing him on par with some of the top full-moon Magus in the realm. Seeing Damo’s talent blossom was exhilarating for Emery.

The young monk now possessed an extraordinary foundation to build upon. Like a baby taking its first steps, Damo needed guidance to navigate his newfound abilities. Emery and Ashaka took on the roles of mentors, carefully walking him through the nuances of controlling his spirit force and understanding the intricacies of each elemental law. With Damo’s burgeoning talent and his grasp of the Dao Divine technique, Emery could distinctly envision the path of the Eight Elements Sage unfurling before the young monk.

Emery watched with great interest as Ashaka sparred with Damo. The Abbot effortlessly blends the eight elemental laws into his attacks and defenses. Damo, in turn, demonstrated remarkable adaptability, channeling his newfound powers with an instinctive fluidity that left both Emery and Ashaka in awe.

With each explanation, Emery noticed Damo absorbing the information like a sponge, his eyes brightening with understanding. The young monk practiced diligently, mimicking Emery’s movements with fervor.

“He really is a genius”

Emery decided to teach Damo his version of the Dao understanding to help him balance the eight elements. He also explained the fundamental principles behind the [Eight Elements Transmutation Technique], breaking it down into simpler components that Damo could grasp. This technique would help him boost his eight elements with the aid of his comprehension of light elements, making him a master of nine elements.

“Amazing!”

The power he displayed gave them both confidence that Damo would prove to be a formidable candidate in the upcoming duel against Kronos.

Yet, as the sparring session concluded, Damo’s expression shifted dramatically.

The joy and exhilaration that typically accompanied training were absent from his demeanor. Instead, his eyes shimmered with a profound sadness, a deep emotional weight that stemmed from his awareness of the sacrifice behind his newfound strength. He understood all too well that this gift of power had been paid for with the life of his master, Fuxi.

“Master… I promise I will train hard… I will not let Master Fuxi down,” Damo declared, his voice steady despite the emotional turmoil swirling within him. The words resonated with Emery, filling him with elation at Damo’s determination. Yet, alongside this was a growing irritation. Emery couldn’t shake the feeling of anger that gnawed at him—the Nephilim had caused Fuxi’s death, and he had yet to make them pay for their actions. The flame of revenge burned fiercely within him, a relentless reminder that justice needed to be served. “They will pay for what they did!” he vowed silently, his fists clenching in resolve.

Afterward, Emery carefully retrieved all the items he had taken from Fuxi’s domain, laying them out before Ashaka and Damo. Each artifact was a piece of Fuxi’s legacy, holding immense significance and potential.

As they examined the artifacts, both Ashaka and Damo hesitated. They knew that while they held a deep respect for Fuxi’s teachings, their own talents lay elsewhere. The complexities of formations were not their strong suit, and they felt unequipped to wield such powerful tools. With a shared understanding, they decided to allow Emery to take both the sword and the flags, entrusting him to decide how best to utilize them.

Emery accepted the items, knowing that the responsibility of wielding such power was not to be taken lightly. For the remaining artifacts, they all agree to pass them on to Naya, Fuxi’s adopted daughter. #####

Later that day, Yuria returned to Terra Palace, her expression serious as she delivered news about Chumo.

Though she hadn’t been able to locate him directly, she brought with her a list of missions that Chumo had undertaken in recent months, hoping to find clues and track his past activities. The pages were filled with details, dates, and locations that painted a picture of his recent movements, but the information gaps only deepened Emery’s concern.

As Yuria continued her report, a familiar enforcer’s name leaped off the page and caught Emery’s attention. It was enough to spark a decision—he would visit the Golden City Magus Alliance headquarters to reconnect with an old friend who might provide more insight into Chumo’s situation.

[Golden City]

Arriving at the imposing Magus Alliance headquarters, Emery navigated through the throngs of enforcers, each one focused on their responsibilities. Just as he began to weave through the crowd, a figure caught his eye—a young Magus with striking crimson hair and an enforced captain’s uniform. “Yo!! My brother Emery… you come looking for me?!” an exuberant voice rang out, drawing the attention of those nearby. The young Enforcer captain was Gerri, the Violet Flames, whose reputation had been steadily rising within the Alliance and the Golden City. His vibrant aura and infectious energy made him a well-respected figure among his peers

Emery wasted no time on pleasantries, his mind focused on the matter at hand. “I need to know about Chumo,” he said, urgency lacing his tone, making a frown upon Gerri’s face.

“Huh… I thought you were coming to take me to one of your great adventures…”

Gerri took a deep breath, his expression turning serious as he recounted his last interaction with Chumo. He explained that about 8 weeks ago, Chumo had approached him, eager to participate in a mission. However, since Chumo was no longer registered as an enforcer, Gerri could not allow him to join. Despite this setback, Chumo’s strong interest in the mission had been evident.

“What kind of mission was it?”

“It was a missing persons case… sort of…” Gerri replied, his brow furrowing in thought. Gerri elaborated that although missing person cases were often considered low-level cases, this particular one had drawn some attention from the Alliance enforcers due to the person missing being powerful magus realm individuals.

Although they had found some of the missing persons, they discovered only bodies—lifeless and drained of blood.

Emery’s heart raced as he absorbed this information. “How many victims?”

“One year, 9 victims—all Magus,”

Gerri and a few other enforcers firmly believed that the heinous crimes were the work of a single suspect, a serial killer they had ominously dubbed the Bloodthirsty Phantom. Unfortunately, the number of victims was not convincing enough to elevate the case to a major investigation.

Hearing this, Emery couldn’t shake the feeling of worry that clawed at him—had Chumo become one of the unfortunate victims of this relentless killer?

After gathering as much information as he could, Emery urged Gerri to keep him updated on any developments regarding the case.

Emery returned to Terra Palace, the weight of concern lingering in his thoughts.

Upon entering his room, Emery wasted no time. Realizing the situation was serious, he swiftly allowed his consciousness to slip into the Khaos Hub, a mystical realm where he could connect to the waypoints of those linked to him.

Chumo was his Khaos Seed and Emery possessed unique authority over him, which allowed him to forcefully delve deeper into Chumo’s soul.

As he probed the waypoints, an intricate web of energy and connections unfolded before him. Emery felt a surge of relief wash over him when he confirmed that Chumo was indeed alive. However, his relief was short-lived as he encountered an unexpected barrier—Chumo was refusing to communicate. The silence was unsettling, leaving Emery puzzled and concerned.

“What happened?” he thought, a mix of frustration and worry clouding his mind.

Emery sensed that something significant must have transpired, something that had driven Chumo to shut himself off from the world.
