Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2903: Special Guest

Another battle erupted across the desert plains, a few hundred miles outside of Neo Terra, where the barren land stretched endlessly beneath a blazing sky. What had once been a quiet expanse of sand and stone was now transformed into a battlefield of overwhelming force, as two Grand Magus-level figures clashed with enough power to distort the very air around them.

The ground trembled under their movements.

Each collision sent massive gusts of wind tearing across the desert, lifting entire waves of sand into the sky. Explosive bursts of energy rippled outward with every exchange, cracking the earth and leaving behind deep scars across the terrain. At the peak of their clash, even space itself seemed to shudder, faint distortions forming where their powers collided.

At the center of this chaos was Emery, locked in combat with Typhon.

Though fierce in appearance, the battle was not one of hostility but of purpose, a spar meant to test the limits of Emery’s newly acquired strength.

The effects of his recent cultivation were already evident, as the first stage of the Stellar Beast Emperor cultivation method had significantly enhanced his capabilities. His spirit power had risen by at least twenty percent, while the efficiency of his [Star Rending Claws] had improved by another ten percent, resulting in a combined amplification that pushed his offensive power nearly thirty percent higher than before.

With this newfound strength, Emery moved with greater confidence, his attacks sharper and more decisive as he surged forward in his half-primal form.

Yet despite this improvement, the gap between him and Typhon remained clear.

”Still not good enough!!”

Typhon’s voice rang out as he responded with overwhelming force, his flaming wind martial prowess erupting in a powerful counterattack. His movements were fluid yet devastating, combining brute strength with refined technique as his palm struck forward with explosive momentum.

The impact came instantly.

A surge of fire and wind collided with Emery, forcing him backward as the force overwhelmed his advance. His body was hurled across the battlefield, crashing violently into a distant mountain, where the impact shattered the rocky surface and sent debris cascading downward in a thunderous collapse.

For a moment, the battlefield fell quiet.

Then the rubble shifted.

A burst of heat erupted outward as Emery emerged from the shattered stone, pushing aside the debris as he stepped forward. His body bore a few bruises from the impact, the lingering force of Typhon’s strike still evident, yet there was no sign of frustration in his expression.

Instead, he released a low roar, flames surging outward from his body before gradually settling.

A faint smile followed.

”That will be enough for today, thank you brother Typhon”

The sudden conclusion of the spar left Typhon visibly dissatisfied, as the Qilin hybrid exhaled sharply, his aura still burning with the remnants of battle.

”Urgghh... we should do this more often, i will help improve your hand to hand techniques.. so you would not defeated so easily”

Emery simply chuckled in response, taking no offense at the remark. He understood the truth behind Typhon’s words, and more importantly, he recognized the value of such training. Sparring with someone of Typhon’s caliber was not merely beneficial, it was an opportunity he could not afford to overlook.

With that, Emery rose into the air and began his return to Neo Terra, leaving behind the scarred battlefield as the desert slowly settled back into stillness.

As he flew, his thoughts turned inward, carefully reviewing the results of both his cultivation and the spar. The first stage of the Stellar Beast method had already granted him a significant increase in power, and according to the inheritance, the second stage promised an even greater enhancement. It was said to increase his spell power by up to fifty percent, while the final stage would elevate his strength to a level capable of rivaling opponents one realm above him.

The implication of such power was not lost on him.

If he could complete all three stages, then even a Three Cosmos Grand Magus, including the Sky Lord, would no longer be an opponent he needed to fear.

However, the path forward was far from simple.

The second stage was not only significantly more difficult to comprehend, but it also required him to begin learning the third form of the Stellar Beast Emperor legacy

[Third Form – Stellar Beast Body Refinement]

The method focused on refining his physical body, something Emery greatly desired, as strengthening his vessel would allow him to better handle the immense power he sought to wield. Unfortunately, the requirements for this technique were daunting, as it demanded the consumption of high-grade beast cores in large quantities.

For now, his progress would have to pause until he could gather the necessary resources.

By the time Emery returned to Neo Terra, the sun had begun to lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the developing territory. Despite the steady growth of the settlement, he did not linger outside and instead withdrew into meditation, spending hours analyzing the sparring session in detail.

This process was essential, allowing him to accurately assess his current strength, especially with the challenges that lay ahead.

Only after fully consolidating his insights did he finally step out the next day, ready to face what was coming.

Neo Terra had already hosted several prominent visitors in recent months, yet this particular arrival carried a different level of significance.

Emery stepped into the courtyard of the Terra Palace, where Klea stood beside him, her gaze already fixed on the sky.

”They are here”

Following her line of sight, Emery looked upward and immediately saw the source of the commotion.

A massive golden ship descended slowly from above, its enormous structure stretching over three hundred meters in length, its polished surface gleaming under the sunlight like a floating palace. Its design was extravagant, clearly belonging to a top-tier faction, and it was accompanied by four smaller escort ships that maintained a tight formation around it.

Each vessel bore the unmistakable insignia of the Astiel clan from the Nephilim faction.

The sight alone was enough to draw attention from across Neo Terra, as residents and guards alike paused to watch the arrival with a mixture of awe and unease.

”What a show off”

Klea’s remark was quiet, yet filled with clear disdain.

Despite the Astiel’s obvious attempt at intimidation, Emery remained completely calm. He had initially expected the Sky Lord himself to appear, yet as his divine sense swept across the descending fleet, he found no trace of a Three Cosmos presence. Suggesting that even the Storm Lord was not among them.

Which meant this entire display—

Was nothing more than a show.

Emery stood firm in the courtyard, his expression unchanged as he waited for the massive golden ship to complete its descent.

Moments later, the structure shifted.

The ship opened.

Dozens of soldiers clad in polished golden armor emerged in perfect formation, their movements synchronized as they stepped forward and formed a grand pathway.

Then, from within that golden corridor, three Grand Magus figures stepped forward.

Emery observed them closely, his gaze sharp.

Though none of the elders had come, he had still expected the patriarch to be among them considering the importance of the meeting,

Yet—

The one leading them was someone else entirely.

A woman.

Draped in glamorous golden robes and adorned with layers of intricate jewelry that shimmered with every step.

There was no mistaking her identity.

Lady Ishtar.

The moment her foot touched the soil of Neo Terra, her gaze swept across the surroundings, and her expression shifted instantly into one of undisguised displeasure.

”huh.. to think i have traveled so far to come into this shitty land”
