Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2529: High Grade

The next item to be presented was an alchemical masterpiece, crafted by none other than the esteemed Grade 8 alchemist, Ada Velace. As the Skyroot elder gestured toward the glass case, anticipation filled the grand auction hall. A hush fell over the audience as the moment of revelation approached.

The instant the display case was lifted, a wave of chilling energy surged outward. The temperature in the hall plummeted, turning warm breaths into visible mist. A layer of frost rapidly spread across the floor, sending shivers through the gathered experts. Several attendees instinctively recoiled as icy tendrils slithered across the stage. Even the Skyroot elder himself had to exert his cosmic power to suppress the pillʼs overwhelming aura before beginning his explanation.

”This,” he announced, his voice carrying an air of reverence, ”is a Tier 9 soul-enhancing pill.”

The large screen behind him flickered to life, revealing the intricate details of the pillʼs composition:

[Tier 9 Frozen Soul-Enhancing Pill]

[108% potency]

[Effectiveness for Ice Element Users: 150%]

[Effectiveness for Wind Element Users: 130%]

[Effectiveness for Water Element Users: 120%]

[Most Effective for: Cosmic Stage 8]

Gasps rippled through the hall. The potency alone made this an exceptional pill, a rare creation capable of aiding not only peak-stage cosmic experts but even Supreme beings. The significance of such a creation could not be understated. The hall buzzed with excited whispers as some of the top bidders prepared to make their offers.

However, the Skyroot elder was not done. A knowing glint shone in his eyes as he raised a hand, commanding silence before revealing the pillʼs true wonder.

”This pill has a secondary effect.”

Curiosity tightened its grip over the crowd. The screen flickered again.

[Forms Ice Crystal Blood: Grant Permanent fire resistance and 100 battle power boost.]

A frenzy of murmurs erupted among the attendees. The pillʼs properties were beyond anything most had ever encountered. Not only did it enhance the soul, but it also bolstered the body, making it an invaluable treasure for high-level combatants.

Suddenly, a slow, amused chuckle cut through the noise.

”How… interesting.”

The room fell silent as all eyes turned toward the speaker.

Galeli the Ember Sage rose from his seat, his wicked smile curling at the corners of his lips. With deliberate movements, he stepped forward, placing a gloved hand upon the next glass case. Within it, a crimson pill pulsed with an almost living intensity, radiating raw, fiery power.

”Ice crystal blood... haha, such resistnace wonʼt help against my mine!!”

The Skyroot elder composed himself and initiated the analysis. As the results appeared on the large screen, the hall was once again thrust into stunned silence.

[Tier 9 Body Refinement Pill]

[113% potency]

[Temporary Boost: +10,000 Battle Power]

[Effectiveness for Fire Element Users: 150%]

Murmurs turned into shouts. Eyes widened in disbelief. Even some of the Supreme beings stirred from their detached postures.

”Did I read that correctly? Ten thousand?!”

”That surpasses Supreme-level strength!”

”How is that even possible?!”

Unlike Ada Velaceʼs pill, which catered to gradual and sustainable growth, this pill offered an immediate, unparalleled surge of power.

The analysis continued, revealing more astonishing details. The temporary battle power boost granted by the pill could last for an entire hour—an eternity in high-level combat. But what truly shocked the hall was the revelation that this pill could be consumed by any cosmic expert, regardless of their element or affinity. However, for those below the recommended stage, the duration would be cut in half. ℟άɴồＢΕ𝐒

Even Emery, who had seen and crafted many remarkable elixirs, felt his breath hitch. A pill capable of such an explosive increase in strength was beyond comprehension.

”This… this shouldnʼt even be classified as a Tier 9 pill,” Emery muttered under his breath. His mind raced as he assessed its properties. ”Something of this scale should be considered god-tier—Tier 10, at least. And a high-grade one at that.”

His instincts were proven correct as the Skyroot elder, still wearing an unusually solemn expression, raised his hand to quiet the murmurs and delivered the final, crucial revelation.

”There is… a major drawback.” His voice was heavy, grave. The entire hall tensed.

A deep breath, then he said it.

”The one who consumes this pill… will not survive.”

A stunned silence fell upon the crowd. A few gasps escaped before the gravity of the words fully settled in.

”It will overload the userʼs body, leading to an unavoidable detonation,” the elder explained. ”Their death will be… spectacular, to say the least.”

A dark chuckle came from Galeli. ”Well, at least theyʼll go out with a bang— at least a Tier 10 explosion!” His words were light, but the gravity of the pillʼs effects weighed heavily upon the crowd.

Despite the horrific side effects, bids began pouring in. In the right circumstances, this pill could change the tide of battle, offering one final, devastating strike against an enemy. A weapon of ultimate destruction.

Ada Velaceʼs Frozen Soul Pill closed bidding at 1.2 billion spirit stones, an impressive amount. Yet Galeliʼs devastating refinement pill surpassed even that, going for 1.5 billion.

And then, it was Emeryʼs turn.

As the final display case was revealed, a striking black-and-white pill rested within, pulsating with raw, fluctuating energy. The moment the containment was lifted, a surge of perfectly balanced power spread across the room, unlike anything before it.

Horus Kreed, who had been watching with skepticism, leaned forward, his eyes narrowing. He had dismissed the idea that a mere Tier 8 pill could match the previous marvels, but the sheer presence of Emeryʼs creation made him reconsider.

The analysis came through, and once more, disbelief rippled across the hall.

[Tier 8 Dual Refinement Pill]

[133% potency]

[Effectiveness for all elements: 150%]

[Temporary Boost: 1000 Battle Power]

At first, some scoffed at the number. Compared to Galeliʼs 10,000 battle power explosion, it seemed unimpressive. Even Horus smirked at the similarity to his own pill.

But then, the analysis continued.

[Permanent Boost: 300 Battle Power]

A moment of stunned silence followed. Then, the screen flickered again, revealing yet another shocking detail.

[Permanent All-Element Resistance: 30%]

Unlike the previous pills, Emeryʼs creation provided both immediate and lasting benefits. Not only did it enhance the userʼs body and soul simultaneously, but it also granted an unprecedented resistance to all elemental attacks. And, most importantly—it had no adverse side effects.

The bidding erupted instantly.

”One billion!”

”One point two!”

”One point five billion!”

Within moments, Emeryʼs Tier 8 pill had surpassed Adaʼs Tier 9 creation. Even Galeli, who had basked in the attention just moments before. As the bids climbed higher, Horus Kreed finally exhaled, shaking his head with grudging admiration. For the first time in the entire auction, a Tier 8 pill was stealing the spotlight from the most advanced alchemical creations. Hiking to a mountain today, hope to find lots of inspiration. thank you for your patience.
