Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2340: Final Daysʼ

With only four days left and a daunting 10,000-point gap between them and Hall 15, tension ran high. The situation wasnʼt hopeless, but after ten grueling days of hunting that had drained both their energy and morale, the odds felt stacked against them.

Shinta, however, wouldnʼt allow the weariness to take over. Drawing on her fatherʼs wisdom, she stood before her comrades, her voice sharp and commanding. ”Listen up! Hereʼs what weʼre going to do.” With clear conviction, Shinta laid out the plan.

They had two ways to bridge the gap: hunt faster to rack up points or sabotage their competitors. After careful thought, she chose the latter. ”Weʼre going steal from them!” she said, her eyes gleaming with a blend of mischief and resolve.

With Hardy at her side, they would launch a surprise assault on Hall 6 and Hall 15 during their most crucial hunting times. They would take advantage of the element of surprise, striking fast and hard to take the killing blow and taking whatever resources were left behind for points.

”How dare you steal from us!!” Even with only thirty acolytes, their combined Hall 9 and 33 boasted seven golden-ranked acolytes, compared to the enemyʼs five.

Their main threats—Raphael, the Nephilim genius, and Zhin, an Aryan acolyte and devout follower of the Church of Purity—were no strangers to Shinta. She had already faced and defeated them before, a fact that weighed heavily on her opponentsʼ minds as they prepared for combat.

Chaos reigned in the battleground, with golden-ranked acolytes locked in fierce duels, their weapons clashing with a deafening roar. After each skirmish, Shinta would call for a strategic retreat, her voice cutting through the din of battle like a knife. She ordered the acolytes to fall back even before their opponents could regroup and reform their ranks. The same situation repeated multiple times throughout the day.

”Hope you like the taste of your own medicine?” she taunted.

The once-proud and assured Nephilim found themselves outmaneuvered, outmatched, and overwhelmed by the relentless assault of Hall 33 and Hall 9. Each fallen Nephilim acolyte not only lost points but also the dignity they had once held so dearly. Seeing lower realm acolytes—those they had once deemed inferior—now standing victorious over them was a bitter pill to swallow.

By the time the day ended, the results were clear. Hall 15, once dominant, had barely gained any points—nearly zero. In contrast, Hall 33, reinvigorated by their success, managed to secure an additional 3,000 points, steadily closing the gap.

[High Hall Ranking - Day 27/30] [1st Place: Hall 15 - 143,225 Points] [2nd Place: Hall 33 - 135,810 Points]

The gap was closing, and the defeat weighed heavily on the Nephilimʼs pride. Raphael, seething with frustration, couldnʼt contain his anger.

”How could this happen?! Half-bloods and lower realm trash, defeating us?!”

But Zhin, ever calm and composed, gave quiet assurance. ”Donʼt let your emotions get the better of you... We werenʼt ready for them today, but we will tomorrow... our god will not allow them to prevail!”

The following day, Shinta took a different approach. Rather than launching a full-scale assault, she opted for a stealthier, more calculated strategy. Only she and a small group of acolytes from Hall 33 could be seen lurking on the outskirts of the combined Nephilim and Aryan camps.

Her mere presence was enough to keep both the Nephilim and Aryan halls on edge.

Each time the Nephilim or Aryan groups attempted to settle into their hunts, Shinta would strike swiftly, and before they could catch her, she would already be gone. She was like a shadow in the wild, hitting hard and vanishing before they could retaliate.

Though unable to steal points from their hunts, Shintaʼs hit-and-run tactics proved highly effective. The combined forces of Hall 6 and Hall 15 spent more time searching for their elusive adversary than gathering points. Her sudden, unpredictable appearances forced them to stay on constant high alert, slowing their progress to a frustrating crawl.

”That bitch! I swear Iʼm gonna kill her!”

By the time the day ended, as the ranking was displayed, both the Aryan acolytes and the Nephilim were hit with a wave of frustration.

[High Hall Ranking - Day 28/30]

[1st Place: Hall 15 - 145,825 Points]

[2nd Place: Hall 12 - 142,910 Points]

[3rd Place: Hall 33 - 141,525 Points]

Seeing Hall 33 drop to third place should have brought them relief, even satisfaction. But the rise of Hall 12 had blindsided them, at the same time, the Nephilim acolytes found themselves facing an equally shocking revelation. ”We are being played!! they tricked us!!”

The realization hit the Nephilim like a hammer blow. their opponent had split their points strategically, funneling a significant portion to the half-bloods. This calculated move had allowed the half-bloods to surge ahead in the rankings, leaving the once-proud Nephilim acolytes stranded at the bottom. Shock and anger rippled through their ranks as the reality of their situation sank in.

”We cannot be in last place!” Raphael bellowed, his voice tinged with desperation. ”Tomorrow, we will focus on getting points for our hall first!”

”No!” Zhin shot back, his face flushed with indignation. ”You are committed to assisting our Hall in the first place! Why are you breaking your words?!!”

The tension between the two factions was palpable, as the Nephilim, bound by their towering pride, refused to be the faction left in disgrace. At the same time, the Aryans, who had sacrificed greatly for this alliance, seethed with the sting of betrayal. The fragile cooperation that had once held them together now threatened to collapse entirely.

From a distance, Shinta watched the chaos unfold, a sly chuckle escaping her lips as she observed the Nephilimʼs predicament. It was exactly what she had hoped for—infighting and disarray among her enemies.

Only two days remained until the exam concluded, but the tension between Hall 6 and Hall 15 reached a boiling point. The two factions, once united by their shared goal, had splintered into separate hunting parties, each intent on racking up points for their own halls.

The absence of Nephilim support made the Aryan Hall vulnerable, and it didnʼt take long for Shinta and the combined group of Hall 9 and 33 to capitalize on their weakened state. Without their previous allyʼs backing, the Aryans struggled to match Hall 33ʼs relentless pace.

On the final day of the exam, the Aryans could only stand by in growing frustration as they watched Hall 33ʼs points soar. The day drew to a close, and the group exam culminated in a showdown of points that sealed their fates.

[High Hall Ranking - Day 30/30]

[1st Place: Hall 33 - 152,218 Points]

[2nd Place: Hall 15 - 151,910 Points]

[3rd Place: Hall 12 - 150,015 Points]

For the half-blood hall, the final rankings revealed their position at the bottom of the list. Yet, the half-blood acolytes seemed unfazed by their standings. Their focus remained on the successes of Hall 33, where their victory felt like a personal triumph.

[Congratulations on placing first in the group exam]
