Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2268: Aryan

The Aryan factionʼs head instructor, draped in a pristine white robe, carried the title of Imperial Wizard, a symbol of his power and influence in the organization.

With an air of authority, he led his group of acolytes into the arena, his voice cold and commanding as he addressed them.

”God has chosen you,” he declared, his words sharp ”Cleanse this academy of that filth and give them the lesson they deserve.”

The statement hung in the air, laced with disdain, as it echoed through the arena. The half-blood acolytes felt a surge of irritation, their eyes narrowing at the brazen insult. Among them, Shinta couldnʼt help but find the entire situation amusing. A chuckle escaped her lips, cutting through the tension like a blade.

”This is hilarious,” she said loudly, her voice dripping with mockery. ”Itʼs not like this is their first attempt, right?”

She turned to her fellow half-bloods with exaggerated surprise ”Wait, I heard they failed two times already?! And yet they still dare to talk like that?”

Her words hit their mark, quickly stoking the anger of the Aryan instructors ”Such a disrespectful acolyte... an animal indeed”

Shinta looked back at the head instructor with wide, innocent eyes. ”Iʼm sorry... please forgive this first-year junior....” she said, however, the smirk tugging at the corner of her lips and the mocking tone in her voice betrayed her true feelings, further enraging the man.

The first of the half-blood acolytes to step into the arena was Kaelin, the wind-harpy eagle. Known for her swiftness and aerial agility, Kaelin had once held a higher rank but had recently slipped to 88th, a far cry from her earlier standing. Her opponent, Carlos was a first-year acolyte only with a silver insignia, but the gleam in his eyes hinted at his confidence.

As the match began, Kaelin wasted no time, tapping into her beast transformation. Her wings spread wide, and with a powerful beat, she took to the air, circling her opponent with dizzying speed. The wind whipped around the arena, a blur of motion as she attempted to disorient him.

However, her opponent was not easily fazed. He tracked her movements with surprising ease, his eyes sharp and focused.

Emery, watching from the sidelines, quickly recognized the technique Carlos was using. It was the [Divine Eagle Claws], a high-level movement and combat technique from the Kux faction, one that Emery had encountered before through Ramos in the blazing wind trials.

The familiarity of the technique struck a chord with Emery, as he realized the connection. The Kux faction, it seemed, was not only affiliated with the Church of Purity but also stood allied with the Aryan faction. The tension in the arena was palpable as the two clashed, the air crackling with energy. Kaelinʼs speed and aerial maneuvers were impressive, but Carlosʼs disciplined technique and adaptability gradually wore her down. It became clear that Kaelinʼs half-blood powers, though formidable, were not enough to overcome the skill and inheritance of Carlosʼs family techniques.

In the end, Kaelin faltered. A decisive strike from Carlos sent her sprawling, her wings crumpling as she hit the ground. The match was over. The young man stood victorious, his expression cool and composed as the reality of Kaelinʼs defeat sank in.

”How can this be? Youʼre only a silver insignia…” Her voice trembled with both shock and confusion, unable to reconcile the gap between their ranks and his overwhelming power.

Carlos responded with a smirk, his confidence unshaken. ”Hahaha, I never cared about such rankings.”

The reality of Carlosʼs strength was soon made evident as he could go against the next challenger, the lightning tiger Rajh. Rajh was expected to turn the tide in favor of the half-bloods. But as the battle unfolded, it became clear that Carlos was no ordinary opponent.

Sparks flew, and the air crackled with energy as the two warriors engaged in a relentless battle. Despite Rajh charging his battle power twice, Carlos met him head-on, their movements a blur of speed and precision.

The crowd watched in tense silence as the combatants seemed evenly matched, neither giving an inch. Carlosʼs smirk remained, unfazed by Rajhʼs relentless assaults. With each clash, it became evident that Carlos was more than a match for the lightning tiger.

After nearly a hundred clashes, it was Rajh who began to falter. Sweat dripped from his brow, his breaths coming in labored gasps as he struggled to keep up with Carlosʼs unyielding onslaught. The balance of power had shifted, and it was now Rajh who was on the defensive, barely holding his ground.

Seeing his future champion in distress, Lucius made a swift decision to end the fight before it could result in serious injury. As the verdict was announced, Rajh collapsed to the ground, his body battered and bloodied, a stark contrast to the ferocious warrior who had entered the arena.

Covered in his own share of wounds, Carlos remained standing. A victorious smile spread across his face, but there was a hint of disappointment in his voice as he spoke, ”Ahh… I only needed another minute to finish him off… what a shame.”

Carlos casually strolled out of the arena, his victory cemented, making way for the next challenger from the Aryan faction.

The second acolyte stepped forward—a wiry, short figure with a silver insignia. He appeared unassuming, especially when compared to his opponent, Suno, the Crocodile Prince, whose muscular frame and rank of 47 promised a swift and brutal match. 𝖗ΆɴŎᛒÈṦ

As the two faced off, Shinta whispered a warning to Suno, ”Be careful…”

But Suno, confident in his formidable scales and raw strength, merely grunted in response, his pride dismissing Shintaʼs concern. After all, he had faced stronger opponents and emerged victorious.

The fight began with Suno charging forward, his powerful blows landing with crushing force. The smaller acolyte struggled to keep up, his defenses crumbling under the relentless assault. It seemed like a one-sided match, with Suno dominating every moment, his confidence growing with each successful strike.

The crowd watched, anticipating a quick end as Suno battered his opponent, each hit driving the smaller acolyte closer to defeat. But just as victory seemed inevitable, the Aryan acolyte revealed his true strategy. Suno, who momentarily let his guard down, was unprepared for what came next. The silver insignia acolyte suddenly pulled out a hidden weapon—a small, unassuming tube concealed in his sleeve.

With a swift motion, he released a barrage of tiny, gleaming needles. One of them shot out piercing directly into Sunoʼs eye.

”ARRGHH!!!” Suno roared in agony, clutching his face as the poison quickly spread through his system.
