I Am The Game's Villain

Chapter 579 579: I Missed You Honey

After my conversation with Melfina, I walked out feeling more conflicted than ever.

They couldnʼt seriously be considering forcing Celeste into marriage—especially to Cyril.

”I heard you and Celes itʼs over?”

”Well, I shall take her for myself.”

Remembering Cyrilʼs words, I felt a surge of anger boiling inside me. My hands curled into fists at the thought.

[]

”Thereʼs no way Iʼm letting Celeste fall into that bastardʼs hands,” I muttered.

[]

”...”

My steps came to an abrupt halt.

Right… The prophecy.

In it, I had gotten involved with Celeste—and I had died as a result. Could this situation be what it was referring to?

If that was the case… the smartest thing to do would be to stay out of her affairs. At least until I was certain I could protect myself.

But what if Cyril did something to her before then?

What if Celeste needed me, and I wasnʼt there?

There was no way I could sit back and do nothing.

”Then what?” I snapped. ”Are you telling me to just let Celeste fall into that bastardʼs hands?”

[]

I bit my lip, my fists clenching. I wanted to argue, but I had no response.

”I canʼt, Cleenah,” I whispered, my voice turning heavy. ”I donʼt care if she doesnʼt end up with me… but at the very least, I want her to be happy.”

[]

A long breath escaped me.

”Right…” I nodded, forcing my emotions down. There was no point in rushing in blindly.

I turned on my heel and headed straight for class.

The moment I stepped into the classroom, the weight of countless stares settled on me once again. But this time, there was a difference—a visible hostility radiating from nearly everyone. No one dared to voice their thoughts, yet their actions spoke volumes. They kept their distance, an invisible barrier forming around my desk as if I carried some contagious disease.

I couldnʼt even bring myself to care.

With a quiet sigh, I slid into my seat, ignoring the silent tension pressing in from all sides.

A new professor entered shortly after, launching into the lesson without preamble. I barely spared him a glance. Instead, my gaze drifted outside the window, drawn toward the colossal Tree of Eden standing tall in the distance, its ancient branches stretching endlessly toward the heavens.

Would Ymirʼs Tree ever reach such a height?

Centuries, maybe even millennia, would pass before it could compare.

Or… perhaps not. With Freyja and Alvara nurturing it, the process might accelerate. Utopia was lucky—unreasonably so.

A sudden knock at the door cut through my thoughts.

”Enter,” the professor called out.

The door creaked open, followed by an eerie silence. Then—gasps.

I barely registered the change in atmosphere, still gazing out the window. But then—

”Ho...neyy~”

”...!”

My body stiffened as my eyes widened in slow realization. That voice… That sweet voice—impossible to forget.

I turned my head, almost hesitantly.

And there she was.

Layla.

Standing in the doorway, radiant and breathtaking, more beautiful than I even remembered. Dark pink eyes shimmered beneath the classroomʼs lighting—different from before. She was different from before. Raising her sunglasses to rest on her forehead, she smiled at me, a hand on her hip.

The entire room was frozen. Mouths hung open, jaws nearly hitting the floor. Some students looked like they were struggling not to drool.

And honestly? I didnʼt blame them.

”L—Layla?” I stuttered in disbelief.

Was this real? A hallucination?

I stood up abruptly, blinking once, twice, trying to make sense of what I was seeing.

Before I could react further, she stepped forward, closing the distance in an instant.

And then—she kissed me.

”Mm—!”

I barely had time to process before her arms wrapped around my neck, pulling me into the kiss. Her lips were soft, warm and quite familiar. My arms instinctively moved, wrapping around her waist as I kissed her back.

The stunned silence in the room deepened, but I didnʼt care.

Without a second thought, I lifted her into my arms, holding her close as I walked out of the classroom, ignoring the stares, the whispers, the sheer shock radiating from every direction.

Right now, none of it mattered.

I carried Layla through the corridors, descending the stairs, our lips still locked in a heated, desperate kiss.

She was relentless. Every time we briefly parted for air, she trailed soft kisses down my face—my cheeks, my jaw, my neck—before crashing her lips against mine once more. There was no hesitation, no restraint. Her hunger was intoxicating, pulling me deeper into the moment, making it impossible to think of anything else.

We didnʼt stop.

Not even as we walked straight out of the academy.

I felt the weight of countless stares, students and professors alike gaping at us in disbelief. Some whispered, others simply stood frozen in shock. None of it mattered. Laylaʼs body was pressed flush against mine, her warmth seeping into me, her scent overwhelming my senses. A sweet, addictive fragrance that made my pulse quicken and my thoughts hazy.

She was driving me insane.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we broke apart.

”Ah~”

Layla let out a soft sigh, her breath uneven, her cheeks flushed a deep pink that reached all the way to the tips of her ears. She gazed at me through lidded eyes, her expression one of sheer satisfaction—like someone who had finally quenched a thirst that had tormented them for far too long.

I wasnʼt much better. My breathing was ragged as I looked up at her, still holding her in my arms.

”…The hell are you doing here?” I finally asked, my voice rough as I struggled to collect myself.

Laylaʼs lips curled into a soft, almost teasing smile. ”I wanted to see you, Honey,” she whispered. Then, before I could respond, she kissed me again.

I groaned, breaking the kiss reluctantly. ”You didnʼt have to come all this way… Iʼm leaving in a month.”

”Oh, isnʼt that so?” She tilted her head, those dark pink eyes glowing with unreadable intensity. ”But I needed to verify some things, Honey.”

I frowned. ”What things?”

She stared at me, then her expression darkened visibly. ”My brother told me you married several women… started relationships with at least seven of them… and even lost your virginity.”

A knot formed in my stomach.

”Is...that true, Honey?” Layla stared at me so intensely that I thought for a moment her eyes were going to swallow me up.

Damn it, John!!!

I swallowed hard, feeling a bead of sweat form at my temple. ”T–Thatʼs… well…” I scratched the back of my head awkwardly. ”I didnʼt want it to happen, Layla.”

She narrowed her eyes. ”Really, Honey?”

I averted my gaze. ”Yeah, I promise.”

Layla reached out, cupping my cheek with a gentle hand. Her smile was soft, but her eyes held something far more complicated—hurt, regret… and something else—darker.

”I should have taken it from you back in that prison,” she whispered, her fingers brushing against my skin. ”Even though you told me no… You were mana-shackled. I could have easily had you.”

Her voice was almost wistful, but the words sent a cold chill down my spine.

…Thatʼs called rape, Layla.

”Itʼs not rape if we love each other, Honey. You would have loved it, even in that prison,” Layla murmured, as if reading my mind.

Her voice was dangerously soft, teasing, yet filled with something deeper—something possessive.

I sighed, keeping my grip on her firm. ”I wanted to do it somewhere more fitting.”

Laylaʼs lips curled slightly. ”Yet you ended up giving it to another woman… someone you donʼt even care for, from what I hear?” Her voice dipped lower as she leaned in, her warm breath ghosting over my ear. ”Do you know how that felt, Honey? I dreamt about being the one to take it from you,” she whispered, sulking as she rested her head against my shoulder.

A smirk played at my lips. I leaned down and gently nipped her ear.

”Ahn~!” Layla gasped, jerking slightly before pulling back to look at me. Her wide, dark pink eyes shimmered with surprise, but beneath that, genuine pleasure at my bold act.

She liked it.

I chuckled, brushing my fingers along the curve of her waist. ”We can still make it our first time. Youʼre here now, arenʼt you?”

Layla blinked, her cheeks deepening into a rich shade of pink. ”H-Honey… Iʼm so embarrassed… yet so happy.” She shook her head as if trying to steady herself, but the next second, she crushed her lips against mine again, unable to hold back.

This time, she wasnʼt just kissing my lips, she was devouring them.

Her arms tightened around my neck, her fingers digging into my skin as she pressed herself even closer, molding against me as if she wanted to become one. I responded in kind, running my hands down her back, tracing her curves before slipping beneath the fabric of her clothes, feeling the warmth of her bare skin.

”Mmnn~I really missed you...Honey.”

She shivered against my touch, but instead of pulling away, she let out a muffled moan and wrapped her legs around my waist.

Now, we were completely tangled together, bodies pressed flush, breaths mingling—both of us unwilling to let go.
