The Golem Mage

Chapter 1114: Reward Ceremony 2.

From positions 51 to 100, the War God Mage Academy had four members placed there, mostly between ranks 80 and 100—Agnes, Knight, Sophia, and Katie.

“From those ranked 26 to 50, you will have a higher-priority land pick compared to those listed before, along with thirty Tier 7 cultivation pills, ten Tier 7 healing pills, and one Tier 7 mental pill.”

The head envoy resumed announcing the rewards, and as the mages within those ranks heard what they would be receiving, they turned toward the group that had celebrated earlier with an air of superiority.

Though they did not gain an extra mental pill, but the fact that everything else had increased except that only showed just how rare such pills might be.

In this range, the War God Mage Academy had three members: Pale, Endrick, and Arthur.

“Moving on, from the 11th position to the 25th position, they will be receiving thirty Tier 7 cultivation pills, ten Tier 7 healing pills, two Tier 7 mental pills, and one Tier 8 cultivation pill. And before I forget, the lands available for them to pick are one level above what the last set was offered.”

Another wave of applause rang out as people could not help getting excited about what those in the top ten would receive, especially when those before them were already getting such generous rewards.

In this bracket, the War God Mage Academy had three more students—Brandon at 23rd position, while Lucas and Beatrice held the 12th and 13th positions respectively.

“Those ranked from 3 to 10 will be getting forty Tier 7 cultivation pills, fifteen Tier 7 healing pills, two Tier 7 mental pills, one Tier 8 cultivation pill, and the right to choose what type of high-grade Tier 7 spirit weapon they want forged for them, along with a higher level of land than those before them.”

The moment the crowd heard the part where the head envoy mentioned that they would be allowed to choose the type of Tier 7 spirit weapon they wanted, they could not help but go wild.

In the entire Five Kingdoms, the number of people who possessed Tier 7 spirit weapons was not even up to a hundred. And not only that, many family leaders whose descendants were about to receive such rewards started wishing they could somehow take those genuine spirit weapons from them.

However, even they knew that such a thing would be impossible to accomplish, and that was because of one simple reason, the rewards would only be given after they reached the Origin World, where they would be assessed.

And on top of that, the weapons would be crafted with their descendants’ abilities in mind, so even if they somehow managed to take them, there was no way they would be able to draw out as much power from the weapon as the descendant it was made for.

As it would already be bordering on the lines of a custom-made spirit weapon.

“The third position will receive everything given to the previous rank, but with a better land selection and five different Tier 6 spirit equipment parts.”

When the crowd heard Alec’s reward, they cheered, but Alec himself did not seem to care that much about it, he simply rested his head properly, almost as if he were close to closing his eyes.

To someone like him, who would soon be upgrading his Infernal Mantle Set into a Tier 6 set, he definitely wouldn’t find a bunch of mismatched spirit equipment to his taste, nor would he be that excited over a single Tier 7 weapon, as he believed his Bloody Changdao was not inferior to any Tier 7 weapon they might offer him.

In fact, he was already thinking of a crazy idea, to ask for some of his rewards to be recalculated and exchanged for the corpses of Tier 7 or Tier 8 lifeforms.

If they agreed to that, then even if the exchange rate was slightly lower than usual, or he had to take a loss, he was prepared to accept it gladly with a smile on his face, that was how little he cared about some of the things they had to offer, because to him, getting pills was easy.

The Head Envoy stylishly looked toward the third VIP level after finishing the announcement of the rewards for third place.

He wanted to see Alec’s expression, to see the reaction of him, the primitive mage he believed Alec to be, because that was exactly how he saw him.

However, it was unfortunate for him that he didn’t get the satisfaction he so badly craved, because when he looked over, all he saw was Alec looking as though he were deep asleep.

‘Let’s see how long you can keep acting so nonchalant. By the time you reach the Origin Continent, you’ll understand just how much of a frog in a well you’ve been all this while,’ the senior envoy thought before continuing with his announcements.

“Second place will receive the same rewards as third place, with one difference, they will also get the chance to craft an extra Tier 7 spirit equipment piece. It doesn’t have to be a weapon.”

At this moment, the mages in the northern stands were cheering nonstop, since Dragov was one of theirs as well.

“And finally, for number one: fifty Tier 7 cultivation pills, twenty Tier 7 healing pills, five Tier 7 mental pills, five Tier 8 cultivation pills, a full customized Tier 6 equipment set, and the chance to have five Tier 7 spirit weapons of their choice forged.”

The moment the head envoy finished listing all the rewards Takeda was going to receive, Alec couldn’t help opening his eyes.

Though he could still obtain those things himself, it was obvious to him that they were being unnecessarily biased and handing out blatant preferential treatment.

Clearly, they had always intended to make Takeda first place, it was probably why the rewards matched him so perfectly, they just had not expected Alec to end up defeating him.

Though they could have still placed Alec second since they didn’t want him receiving the rewards, however they knew the gap in rewards was so wide that they chose to put Dragov there instead, because they were sure the crowd wouldn’t compare the rewards of those two ranks too closely, since it was Dragov in that spot—and he hadn’t even made it to the finals, this way they were able to make the crowd feel bad about Alec not having enough talent to even take second place, while not even thinking about how he had been robbed.

They had clearly planned everything out, that was Alec’s conclusion.

He simply leaned his head back again and waited for the award ceremony to end, he had far more pressing matters to deal with.

Before nightfall, the Blood Moon War would begin, and he needed to return to Estonia City to lend his support to his clan. For the moment, the city still had not recovered the strength it once possessed, so they needed every type of help they could get from till they could compete properly against the second dimensional forces.
