The Golem Mage

Chapter 371: loot... 2

The rest of the group could only watch as Alec and the short elder, Alderic, exchanged pleasantries after Alec had traded almost everything he had brought for magic crystals.

Each member of the group had managed to acquire about five thousand magic crystals from the trade, with even the least productive members, like Pale and the rest of his group, receiving two thousand magic crystals .

Initially, they had not expected Alec to give them anything at all since they all believed that whatever they obtained during their time in the Abyss belonged to Alec’s team.

Because despite going through so much together, there had never been an agreement that Alec would share the loot with them, However, he had still chosen to do so, even foregoing his own share of the loot.

Alec had specifically asked for magic crystals instead of his usual form of payment,( power stones).

He felt that the group was not in need of power stones at the moment and he still had two sacks filled with Power stone and power crystal, ready to be used in case of emergencies.

For now, he decided to save them for when the group was ready to continue their journey of increasing there realm.

This was one of the reasons why Alec exchanged the loot for magic crystals, he felt guilty for using the group’s share of carcasses during their previous encounter, even though he had done so for their benefit.

Alec was well aware that the group had been eagerly anticipating their first successful dive into the Abyss to yield profit, particularly Arthur, who had often spoken about the fortune they would make by selling the carcasses of few dead wolves.

Alec wanted them to feel proud of their achievements and believed they deserved it.

Additionally, he couldn’t gift Pale and the rest of his team with materials, so this was his way of providing for them too that would balance out.

It was better for Alec to convert it into money because then he could settle them, even though they had insisted they didn’t need anything as they were not part of the group.

But Alec had still insisted, even though he felt Pale and Katie wouldn’t mind if he didn’t give them anything.

However, he couldn’t say the same for the remaining three mages with them, They looked like lost puppies, and Alec didn’t want anyone badmouthing his clansmen using there Noblemen privilege.

That’s why he did it, so if they even still dared to talk about his clansmen anyhow after what he had given them as compensation, then they could only wait for trouble to befall them.

While the whole team had shared about fifty thousand magic crystal coins, Alec had managed to obtain over four hundred and fifty thousand coins for all he brought back from his own expenditure alone.

The entire group looked in shock at how rich their boss had become, Kelvin even slapped himself, thinking he might be dreaming.

He had never believed that someone, especially a first-year Mage student, could have such an amount, but the reality was right in front of them.

It was easy to label Alec as the richest rookie ever for his achievement.

”Now, we have dealt with all of that, Let’s get down to the main business, Don’t tell me that’s all you have, I know you have a space ring, If you had to sell that much, it means you have kept the ones you deemed the best quality for yourself, right?” Old man Alderic said, wearing a sheepish look on his face.

”Yes, I do have some other resources, but I don’t plan on selling them at all, In fact, they aren’t really important and are just carcasses that would be useful to me,” Alec replied to Alderic.

”Now, don’t be a party pooper, At least let me see what you deemed as special from all your collections. Don’t worry; I’m not interested in stealing your stuff. You have brought a lot of materials that can be used by the War God Mage Armoury, and it means that new and advanced products will soon be on display. So please, show me exactly what you are hiding, I’m just curious,” Alderic said.

”Okay, if you say so, I don’t mind showing you then,” Alec said as his space ring flashed with a small light, and countless other items appeared around him.

Alderic stared back at Alec with such intensity that it made Alec feel uneasy, He never felt reassured when Alderic asked to see what was in the ring.

However, he had brought it out because he wanted to satisfy the curiosity of a strong Tier 8 Mage.

”I want that Chimera,” Alderic said the moment he saw the body of a Chimera among the corpses of demonic beasts Alec had saved.

At first, Alderic thought Alec would have saved the bodies of the strongest beasts, But now he realized that the beasts he had set down were only Tier 3 beasts, rare ones, yes, but quite similar to each other.

From all of this, Alderic could already understand Alec’s intentions.

The only reason someone would hunt down demonic beasts of the same race is if they wanted to create a spirit equipment set that would match each other.

However, just killing the same demonic beast would not ensure a hundred percent chance of acquiring a spirit equipment set.

One would have to find an experienced Forger and obtain other important materials that would be used along with the demonic beast power crystals and bones.

Only if these three elements matched would there be a chance of crafting a Spirit Equipment set.

But most forgers were unaware of how to create a spirit equipment set, Creating just one special spirit equipment piece, yes, but creating a set is much more difficult, as each demonic beast follows a different perspective.

One has to be able to match both the weapons and armor, and that is after determining which type of armor would go with the demonic beast.

If the materials were sufficient, there might be added boots or a helm.

It was a long process, and all the components that were crafted had to synergize together for them to be considered a set.

”Why? That carcass is actually important to me,” Alec replied as the Chimera carcass had been the one he had set aside to make a spirit equipment for Brandon.

In fact, Alec had checked if he could add some of the demonic beast he killed to the flair, and it showed him that he would have a Tier 4 spirit equipment.

However, he realized that such a spirit equipment might not even be able to be summoned by Brandon.

But he wasn’t bothered, He felt that as long as it was able to augment him in any way possible and make him a little stronger, then it was all worth it.

”Ohhh, if the body is important to you, we can come to a deal, All I want is the snake tail, In return, I would help you in creating all the spirit equipment sets you want, I should let you know, I am a master forger, and you won’t find a better assurance with those materials than me. I have a high turnover of creating spirit equipment,” Alderic said confidently, Enjoy new chapters from NovelFire.Côm

As if he was sure Alec would accept his proposal almost instantly.

His suggestion of crafting the spirit equipment for them surprised the group, who were still trying to process all the surprises the short man had given them – finding out he was an expert Tier 8 Mage, and now revealing that he was actually a master forger.

These new pieces of information had the rest of the group, who had not collected a spirit equipment from Alec, excited as they waited for his decision.

While Pale and what was left of his group just looked at Alec’s group with envy, as they were being given such a special privilege.

For a master forger to suggest making something for someone was unheard of, To their knowledge, they were always the ones being begged to create something, and with respect.
