The Golem Mage

Chapter 322...

”Now that he is gone, let’s discuss our strategy for dealing with Alec Gordons,”

The Grand Elder declared as soon as the enforcer departed.

Confusion painted the face of the remaining four elders, as the elder on the far left as asked,

”What do you mean ’deal with Alec Gordons’? I thought you found a solution to eliminate both him and the Sixth Elder of the Fridall clan just now.”

The Grand Elder snorted.

”Only a loser sticks to one plan, and those plans have plenty of loopholes.”

”Such loopholes may cause those plans to fail, especially if the Sixth Elder decides to ignore our offer and continue hiding,” another elder chimed in.

The Grand Elder nodded.

” Exactly. Furthermore, he successfully helped another Ancient clan from outside the northern kingdom attack Aurora, If he manages to find a way to relocate to the central kingdom, our advantage of using fear to manipulate him will be lost.”

”You all need to understand that he has shown his true colours, and we don’t truly control him like we believed. He is a man who feels he has lost too much and has nothing more to lose.”

” Such individuals are dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. I know some of you may underestimate him since he is only a Tier 7 Mage and you feel you can take him on, but I strongly advise against it. However, for now, we must address the matter of Alec,” The Grand Elder explained.

”But how are we going to handle his situation?, You do know he currently studies at the War God Mage Academy, and no clan has the power to influence the events that occur there,” an elder questioned.

”He is only a Tier 2 Mage. We don’t need to expend so much effort over a low-rank Mage. He can be used for training purposes for the younger generation in the outer branch, if they ever encounter him in the mage academics exchanges that take places,” another elder suggested.

The Grand Elder let out a dismissive snort as he glanced at the other four elders, shaking his head in disappointment.

”Why do I feel like you all are avoiding the issue with Alec?, You have witnessed his battle reports against second Dimension creatures.”

”Although he had always caused a big spark, this time it is different because he is not killing them on Earth realm anymore. Despite his young age, he is already creating records inside the second Dimension! That a whole new level.”

”He has taken the fight to them, causing two different races to fight the moment he left the Abyss Realm. Such an achievement has never been heard of before, especially considering he is just a Tier 2 Mage. Do you understand the implications of this? Do you want your descendants to face such a formidable opponent?”

”Just because he is a Tier 2 Mage, does that mean he is weak? How many times has he proven that he can fight across realms?”

” How many times have you heard of his countless achievements? Is that the kind of person you want to send your incompetent descendants to Fight against ?”

”I am sorry to say this, but all that would be returned to you would be their lifeless bodies.”

The Grand Elder delivered a long speech, his anger evident as his flowing beard fluttered in the wind.

He expressed his disappointment in the negligence of the outer branch elders.

For a long time, no one had challenged their Clan authority from the mid and high-tier clans.

And As a result, they turned a blind eye to their incompetent descendants who were growing increasingly inferior to the past generations.

Born with a silver spoon in their mouths, they never had to work hard for their cultivation resources.

This has turned most of the Blaze outer Region branches mages into inexperienced novices when it comes to battle skills and survival.

However, the other Mid and High-tier clans have started showing progress, producing at least one or two talented geniuses that could be compared to the core geniuses of ancient clans.

But due to their pride, most of them were still not ready to acknowledge this fact.

That is why they have been looking down on Alec for so long, simply because he is backed by Gordon’s clan, which is ranked as a mid-tier clan.

To them, even a high-tier clan can be annihilated if an order was sealed from the clan patriarch, let alone a mid-tier clan.

But the Grand Elder had never thought that way. He had always considered Alec a talented young man with the same charisma as his father. And felt that is why he could have many talented geniuses surrounded him.

”So what are we supposed to do now, Grand Elder?, We don’t want to enter the War God Mage Academy. You do know that Mad Dog won’t hesitate to kill anyone who meddles with the academy!, and we can’t be safe from his anger If we are not protected by the clan” another elder said, feeling a little scared at the thought of facing someone like Mad Dog.

”Who said we are interfering? We are simply using a popular proverb to our advantage – the enemy of our enemy is our friend,” the Grand Elder replied.

”Currently, Mad Dog is assigned to the army of High Tier Mages that protect the human realm from the creatures at the spatial cracks. He won’t be able to know everything,” another elder added.

”All we have to do is support the faction opposing him, but in a discreet manner. I have information that they have already made attempts on Alec’s life and failed , and considering how they target Terran’s disciples, they will surely come for him again,”

The Grand Elder explained his plan, leaving the others wondering how long he had been plotting this.

The others were certain that he wouldn’t have formed such strong connections with the faction against Mad Dog in such a short amount of time, he must have been in contact with them for long.

”But don’t you think this plan could backfire if Mad Dog comes after us?” someone asked.

”Don’t worry, he would never expect someone from outside the institute to be behind what is about to happen. Since Our main target is not his beloved disciple Terran, but Alec. We just need to make things hard for Terran in order to make it easier to kill Alec,”

The Grand Elder said, a smirk forming on his face.

As they listened to the plan, the elders from the outer region branches couldn’t fully understand all the details, but they knew one thing for sure – things were about to get difficult for everyone close to Alec, especially his instructor. Discover exclusive content at NovelFire.Côm
