234: Chapter 233 Amitabha Buddha in a Sea of BloodThe Blood-colored World was trembling.

The great cauldron was also trembling.

This suppression only lasted for a few hours before it was forcibly blasted open by the Blood Spirit, which reappeared in the Blood-colored World.

Watching the Blood Spirit charging over, the Heavenly Emperor shook his head slightly. After repelling it with a punch, he turned to Ye Xiu and said, ”As you can see, even with full effort, it can only be suppressed briefly.”

Ye Xiu’s brows furrowed deeply.

The wangquan sword tore through the firmament, its sword light piercing the clouds. He took a step forward and arrived directly in front of the Blood Spirit.

Clang...

Amidst the piercing sound of the sword’s chime, the wangquan sword struck at a tricky angle, piercing directly into the Blood Spirit’s head.

Roar...

The Blood Spirit let out a roar.

A dozen arms struck out at Ye Xiu simultaneously.

Boom...

Amidst the dull thuds, Ye Xiu forcibly withstood the Blood Spirit’s attacks. The wangquan sword in his hand erupted with boundless rosy light, pressing down fiercely upon the Blood Spirit. He wanted to use the Great Power of the rosy light to forcibly evaporate the Blood Spirit.

Everything went very smoothly.

Under the rosy light, the Blood Spirit slowly dissolved, but the price was that Ye Xiu suffered extremely severe injuries.

Hum...

The Blood Spirit was completely dissolved by the rosy light. But as the Blood-colored World trembled, the Blood Spirit condensed once again in the firmament.

However, Ye Xiu ignored it.

After cupping his hands to the Heavenly Emperor and the other Emperor, he stepped out of the Blood-colored World and plunged violently into the Blood Sea of the Ancestral Land.

”I want to see what changes will occur in this Blood Sea after killing the Blood Spirit once.”

Whoosh...

The Blood Sea was oscillating. Feeling the changes in the Blood Sea, Ye Xiu couldn’t help but furrow his brows.

”Even killing the Blood Spirit by force has no effect on this Blood Sea; this is a dead end.”

He sighed slightly.

He did not leave the Blood Sea immediately. To verify this, he had forcibly withstood countless attacks from the Blood Spirit, and he himself had already suffered extremely severe trauma.

He sat cross-legged on the spot.

In the Blood Sea, he tried to absorb the energy within. But as time passed, not a single trace of the power in the Blood Sea was absorbed into his body.

”Buddha Power?”

A thousand years later, Ye Xiu opened his eyes, a trace of disbelief in them. In this Blood Sea Divine Spring, there was actually residual Buddha Power.

Although it was very obscure, it did exist. Was it the power of Amitabha Buddha?

With a trace of doubt, Ye Xiu began to try to extract this Buddha Power, but the condensation of this Buddha Power was somewhat difficult.

In this Blood Sea, the power of blockade was too strong. That power, which stood above all else, deprived other powers of the space to exist.

Even for the Buddha Power of Amitabha Buddha, in this Blood Sea, it was only in a residual state, requiring full concentration to barely collect it.

On the other side, in the Final Ancient Land battlefield, The Seven Progenitors had a trace of doubt in their eyes.

Ancestor Yan, while dodging the Empress’s attacks, asked, ”That Ye Xiu has been in the Blood Sea for a thousand years; should we go and take a look?”

”Hmph, even if he enters the Blood Sea, what of it? Back then, even that monk couldn’t change anything, so what kind of waves can he stir up?”

Ancestor Zhan was somewhat disdainful. He did not believe that Ye Xiu could do anything astonishing within the Boundary Sea.

Ancestor Ming, however, was somewhat worried. Jiang Ming had been plotted against and killed back then, yet he was able to survive and even achieved another form of combat technique. Such talent was an anomaly. It was necessary to be on guard.

”Ancestor Zhan, go and investigate the Blood Sea to see what kind of tricks that Ye Xiu is up to.”

Following Ancestor Ming’s words, just as Ancestor Zhan wanted to withdraw from the battlefield, he saw that the rosy light had already sealed off the entire Final Ancient Land.

”Are you looking down on me that much? Without my consent, none of you can leave.” The Empress’s cold voice carried an unquestionable command.

”You...”

Ancestor Zhan was furious. He gathered a fist of death intent and smashed it fiercely against the rosy light barrier.

Boom...

The barrier trembled. The black fist light struck the barrier, only causing slight ripples; there was no substantial damage.

”Attack together.”

Ancestor Ming’s expression was very cold. The Empress was too strong; fighting individually, none of these Progenitors could break her techniques.

Kill!

The Seven Progenitors roared in unison. An extremely terrifying black death beam instantly converged and slammed into the barrier.

”Do you think I don’t exist?”

The Empress gave a light shout and immediately appeared before the death beam. With just a light, airy palm, she scattered the death beam that the seven had combined their efforts to condense.

Hmph.

Amidst the cold snort, the Empress’s figure disappeared. Following that, there were sounds of rumbling, and The Seven Progenitors were blasted away almost at the same time.

”Forget it, let’s wait and see.”

Ancestor Ming was helpless and had to stop worrying about the situation on Ye Xiu’s side, thinking that the Blood Sea must be as stable as a mountain and that no abnormalities would occur.

In the Blood Sea Divine Spring, following Ye Xiu’s full-effort absorption, a golden Buddha light slowly condensed.

Hum...

The Buddha light turned from faint to deep, and finally, a Buddha condensed in the Blood Sea.

”Amitabha Buddha?”

Ye Xiu stopped absorbing the power, a trace of surprise in his eyes. He had originally only wanted to try absorbing the power in the Blood Sea. Unexpectedly, he had awakened Amitabha Buddha, who had once perished in the Blood Sea.

”Benefactor Jiang, I did not expect that when we met again, it would be in this appearance.” Amitabha Buddha was covered in Buddha light, his tone full of sighs.

”Jiang Ming has already perished. My name is Ye Xiu. Strictly speaking, I am his second life.”

”Second life?”

Amitabha Buddha showed a trace of surprise in his eyes, then he showed some understanding and sighed softly, ”So that’s how it is. What a pity...”

”What a pity?”

Ye Xiu was not annoyed and asked directly.

”How great a talent Benefactor Jiang was back then, yet he perished in these endless years.”

”Living too long is not a pleasant thing. Jiang Ming was just tired of it; otherwise, I would not exist.”

”Benefactor Ye is truly insightful.”

Amitabha Buddha chanted a Buddhist name and then spoke again, ”The Old Monk cannot exist for long. Benefactor Ye, if you have any doubts, feel free to express them.”

Ye Xiu fell silent.

He naturally had countless doubts, but what he most wanted to know was whether Amitabha Buddha had gained anything back then when he chose to purify the Blood Sea.

Thinking of this, he asked, ”Buddha, I wonder if you had any gains back then?”

Amitabha Buddha did not hide it and answered directly, ”Although The Old Monk did not succeed back then, there were some gains.”

”For example?”

”The power in the Blood Sea can be mastered, but the conditions are extremely harsh.”

”What do you mean?”

Ye Xiu was shocked. He had come to the Blood Sea to try and absorb that power, but no matter how hard he tried, he had no success. This Old Monk actually had a way to master it. It was somewhat beyond his expectations.

Looking at Ye Xiu’s curious expression, Amitabha Buddha did not keep him in suspense and explained directly, ”To master the power in the Blood Sea, one must assimilate with it; only then can one master the power in the Blood Sea.”

”Assimilate?”

”Yes, assimilate. There are two feasible paths. The first is to use one’s own Great Power to fuse with the Blood Sea. If successful, one can master the Blood Sea. The Old Monk chose this path back then, but unfortunately, he still failed.”

Amitabha Buddha sighed with emotion. As his voice faded, a Buddha light covered a certain area, recreating the scene from back then.

In the scene, the Blood Sea Divine Spring surged with endless Buddha light, which lasted for a full ten million years. Unfortunately... until Amitabha Buddha completely perished, he could not purify the Blood Sea or fuse with it.

Ye Xiu watched all of this in silence.

In his heart, he directly rejected this option. After all, even Amitabha Buddha had failed; if he tried it again, there would be no different result.

He then asked, ”What is the second method?”

”Dissolution.”

”Dissolution... are you sure?”

Ye Xiu’s eyelids narrowed slightly. Was this Old Monk really Amitabha Buddha? Dissolution was a form of suicide. Although there was room for maneuver, it was ultimately a method of seeking death. The risk was too great. It was almost like gambling his own life on a probability.
