All People: I Slay Gods with Martial Arts

227: Chapter 226 The Decline of Buddhism in the Immortal RealmAfterward, the two left the boundary of the Immortal Domain and headed inland to explore.

Traveling in haste, they saw too many immortal kingdoms and divine mountains; they were far more prosperous than the Main World.

”Hey, Ye Xiu, look over there. Let’s go down and take a look.”

After searching for a few days, the two arrived at a Buddhist world. The chanting of monks was extremely loud, and the Buddha light covered the entire sky.

A Buddhist world?

Ye Xiu frowned slightly.

Within the Legacy of the Lord of Guixu, there were many Buddhist scriptures, which gave him a high level of attainment in Buddhism.

It seemed that back in the day, the Lord of Guixu had a close Buddhist friend.

Hum...

The Buddha light soared into the sky, covering hundreds of millions of miles of mountains and rivers.

But Ye Xiu felt a trace of something abnormal within this Buddha light.

It was an extremely hidden, eerie aura.

Carrying a shocking sense of malice, it was deeply hidden within the Buddha light, like a parasite, concealed in the deepest depths of the radiance.

Ordinary Supreme Realm experts would be unable to detect it without careful investigation.

But Ye Xiu could see the eeriness here at a glance.

Is it a Demonic Buddha?

Or is it an Eerie invasion?

With a hint of doubt, he followed Xing Mu’s footsteps and descended directly into the most sacred temple of the Buddhist world.

”Those who trespass on Buddhist grounds shall fall into eternal Reincarnation.”

Amidst a soft shout, a heaven-piercing Buddha light lit up, shrouding the two of them directly.

The Buddha light, which could dissolve anything, was merely like a ray of sunshine on them.

”Bald donkey, I won’t waste my breath. Hand over your Karma Golden Lotus, or even if the Buddha were alive today, he would have to enter Nirvana again.”

Xing Mu spoke indifferently, her aura extremely cold amidst the Buddha light.

This scene caused all the Buddhas in the temple to feel a chill in their hearts, as if the woman who had suddenly intruded was the most vicious devil in the world.

”Amitabha Buddha, benefactor, the Karma Golden Lotus is the highest treasure of our Buddhism and cannot be gifted to you. Please return.” The Buddha Lord sat upon a giant golden lotus, a look of compassion for the world in his eyes.

”Baldy, you don’t understand what I’m saying, do you?”

Xing Mu reached out and grabbed, and the Buddha Lord immediately rose into the air, his neck tightly gripped by an invisible hand.

The Buddha light was dissipating, and cracks appeared on his Buddha body.

”Buddha Lord...”

All the Buddhas in the temple made their move.

But before they could even leave their seats, they were immediately locked down by a terrifying aura. They were unable to use any of their Buddha Power, and even their ability to move was lost at this moment.

”I do not wish to commit mass slaughter, baldy. If you think the Karma Golden Lotus is more important than these people, then I don’t mind sending them to meet Amitabha Buddha.” Xing Mu’s tone carried intense murderous intent.

She had been to the Immortal Domain before. In the ancient era, this Buddhist sect was quite powerful.

Later, for some reason, all beings above the Immortal Ascension Realm disappeared, and no one knew where they had gone.

The Buddha Lord sighed softly: ”Although I do not know how I have offended Your Excellency, I hope you will keep your promise. Amitabha Buddha.”

Following the Buddha Lord’s sigh, the golden-shining Buddha body gradually dissipated, revealing a golden lotus flower.

”The Karma Golden Lotus was actually hidden within the Buddha body. That is quite creative.”

Xing Mu did not make things too difficult for the others; after receiving the Karma Golden Lotus into her palm, she released the others from their restraints.

”Amitabha Buddha...”

The Buddhas did not attack again, but instead chanted the Rebirth Sutra for the Buddha Lord.

Ye Xiu watched the whole process, and a scene suddenly flashed through his mind—it was a memory of the Lord of Guixu.

In the memory, a Buddha, his entire body radiant with brilliant light, entered the Blood Sea Divine Spring of the ancestral land amidst the sound of chanting, wanting to use profound Buddhist Dharma to purify that eerie and unpredictable blood sea.

The Lord of Guixu held off four Eerie Ancestors, buying time for the Buddha.

The Blood Sea Divine Spring erupted with supreme Buddha light, lasting for tens of millions of years.

But in the end, it still couldn’t change anything; the Buddha light vanished, and that Buddha, who could stand shoulder to shoulder with the Lord of Guixu, completely perished within the Blood Sea Divine Spring.

That must have been Amitabha Buddha!

Ye Xiu sighed inwardly. In the earliest ages, Buddhism had experts.

Unfortunately, following Amitabha Buddha’s failed attempt to purify the Blood Sea Divine Spring, the Buddhism of this Immortal Domain declined.

To this day, there isn’t even a single Supreme Realm expert.

The great war of the Boundary Sea back then involved almost all beings above the Immortal level, yet even so, no experts from the Buddhist sect were seen participating.

It was clearly completely desolate. It couldn’t even produce a single Immortal.

Over these hundreds of thousands of years, the contemporary Buddha Lord had only barely reached the Immortal Realm.

As for the other Buddhas in the temple, they hadn’t even achieved the Dao.

Such a force could not be called weak, but to say it was strong would be calling a rat a duck—it was nonsense.

The reason for this situation perhaps had a thousand intricate connections to the vicious intent within the Buddha light.

That malice followed the Buddha light and restricted its growth.

It was the biggest reason for the decline of Buddhism.

”What are you thinking about? Let’s go.”

Xing Mu stroked the Karma Golden Lotus, somewhat unable to put it down.

”Sigh... Amitabha Buddha perished completely back then to purify the Blood Sea Divine Spring, not even leaving behind a true spirit. You shouldn’t have bullied the Buddhist sect like that.”

Ye Xiu followed Xing Mu’s footsteps, shaking his head slightly with some emotion.

Hearing this, Xing Mu perked up a bit and asked, ”You know Amitabha Buddha?”

”I don’t know him, but in the memory of the Lord of Guixu, I have seen that Buddha.”

”Tch... If you don’t know him, why are you getting so worked up? The Karma Golden Lotus is related to Luck. The Luck of the Main World is all gathered on you, so naturally, it needs things to replenish it.”

”Even if the Main World is perfected, it is difficult for you to advance to the [Taboo Emperor] Realm.”

Ye Xiu naturally knew that Xing Mu was perfecting the Luck of the Main World because she wanted to advance to a higher Realm.

But for the Heaven and Earth Law to achieve the Emperor level, one needs to completely strip away one’s own world and break out of the cocoon to achieve Rebirth in a desperate situation before one can advance further.

This method is extremely risky.

Back then, the Lord of Guixu almost died before finally entering the Emperor Domain and becoming a being who fought at the Other Shore Highland.

”You’re the only one who knows so much.”

Xing Mu rolled her eyes at Ye Xiu and then continued, ”Everyone has their own methods. Reaching our Realm, there isn’t just one path.”

”The predecessors plant the trees, and the descendants enjoy the shade. It is so difficult to forge a new path.”

”So what?”

”Suit yourself.”

Ye Xiu was too lazy to argue with this contrarian. This girl had only come here to take the Karma Golden Lotus while she was at it.

As for cultivation, that was generally something for the Star Emperor to worry about.

Xing Mu was just someone who sat back and enjoyed the fruits of others’ labor; talking big was all she did. If she really had to create a path, that would be nonsense.
