Shelter: All-Class Survival

Chapter 132: Food Dilemma, Meat and Vegetarian PairingWhen the meat was almost roasted, Chen Chen cut it with a knife and gave it to Yuan Zai from time to time.

Later, I felt it was too much trouble, so I directly disassembled the roasted meat and took as much as one person and one bear could eat.

After eating a whole wolf’s leg, Chen Chen stretched out his hand to get it again, but found that there were only bones left in the mesh cover, and Yuan Zai was sleeping with his back leaning against him.

”It’s so edible?” Chen Chen was directly shocked. ”After evolution, he ate more than 400 catties, and now he eats more than 100 catties. Leaving aside evolution, he will eat at least 200 catties of meat a day.”

”I only have two tons of food now, and Yuanzai alone can finish the meat in ten days, plus I’ll finish it in about ten days.”

Chen Chen supported his forehead, ”No, we have to start the indoor planting plan. We have to mix meat and vegetables, otherwise it won’t last long. Fortunately, Yuan Zai is an omnivorous animal like me, so eating some staple food should be no problem.”

In the past, I didn’t do planting mainly because there was no water source, there was not enough electricity to provide light, and there was no shortage of food... I didn’t have a sense of urgency and I was busy with other important things, so it was delayed.

Now it can’t be done. If you don’t do it for a day or two, you will have to buy meat at a high price in the future.

With this idea, he immediately contacted Fang Yonglin. With his research on planting, he would definitely provide him with a lot of help.

The video was connected, and Chen Chen took the lead in expressing his needs.

”Lao Fang, I need to build a planting room in the shelter. Do you have any suggestions? How to plan it better?”

The opposite Fang Yonglin was a little surprised, ”Brother Chen, did you just do it now? I thought you had it long ago.”

Fang Yonglin then explained to Chen Chen, ”Brother Chen, if you are doing indoor planting, you don’t have to worry too much about the acid and alkali of the soil. You can choose some crops that have strict soil requirements and high yields.”

”The first is the potato. Although the yield of the potato after planting is not high, it is a very well processed staple food. Compared with crops such as wheat and rice, it consumes a lot of manpower. Therefore, I suggest you put it as a staple.”

The back Yonglin emphasized: ”I said the yield is not high compared to modern potatoes. In fact, the yield of the existing potato can reach 1400 kg per mu. 1900kg is not a big problem.”

”The second is rice, wheat and corn. These crops are also good and can be supplemented by a small amount of cultivation. After all, our eating habits are still biased towards these.”

Speaking of which, Fang Yonglin sighed: ”These white mists are really amazing. If it weren’t for the evolution of the body, they would need to consume a certain amount of meat every day, otherwise the players in the area would not have to worry about food!”

Chen Chen nodded and said: ”There is no way out, if you want to survive, if you want to spend more time in the wild, you must strengthen your physique, and after strengthening, you have to replenish meat, so it is impossible for everyone to stop, think It is impossible to live in a shelter by planting.

When you come to the abnormal world, you must constantly improve your strength to survive. Wait for a while, and when the breeding industry starts up, everyone’s life should be better. ”

”Yes... I hope this time will come sooner.” Then Fang Yonglin shook his head and said, ”Brother Chen, I will continue to explain the plan to you.”

”After talking about the staple food, vegetables and fruits are also necessary. They are a good source of various nutrients. Eating them every day can also improve people’s mood and reduce depression. Vegetables and fruits can be grown in hydroponics, and the effect is better. Okay.”

Speaking of this, Fang Yonglin smiled, ”I am currently researching the method of hydroponics after diluting the fog water. Now most of the technical indicators have been determined, and I can officially promote it after a day or two of testing.”

”The white fog is really amazing. It can not only provide enough nutrients for plants, but also can replace sunlight, allowing plants to thrive in a low-light environment. In modern times... No, this is subversive at any time. Sexual stuff!”

Speaking of this, Chen Chen also became interested and asked: ”Can hydroponics produce higher yields? Can the growth cycle be shortened?”

Fang Yonglin nodded and said: ”Yes, after a complete set of equipment is built, the consumption of labor will also decrease. Brother Chen, you can build a hydroponic planting room for fruits and vegetables first, and I will study all the technical details later, and then give the overall picture. plan.”

”Now I’ll tell you about the details of planting in detail... First of all, the temperature of the planting room should be controlled to at least five degrees Celsius, so that the growth rate of the crops can be guaranteed... After all these are done, hydroponically grow potatoes for two You can harvest a wave every day, rice and wheat for three days, and melons and fruits every day…”

”Unfortunately, there are many essential nutrients in the human body that must be obtained from meat, especially for people with high physique. It would be better for the proportion of meat in the diet to be stable at one-third, and then lower. Attributes may decline...”

After chatting with Fang Yonglin, Chen Chen directly spent 32 ordinary expansion modules to open two large rooms of more than 100 square meters in the shelter ~www.wuxiaspot.com~ for future planting greenhouses.

However, he did not continue to build various facilities. He has more important things to do tonight, and the perfection of the planting room will be left to tomorrow.

The first is the installation of the second new fan.

Chen Chen directly used any expansion module, opened up another ventilation duct, placed a fence at the exit, strengthened the wall and returned to the shelter to connect the circuit. The operation of the new fan is all handed over to Xiaoluo for dynamic adjustment.

After finishing these, Chen Chen also found a point that he had neglected before, and asked: ”Xiao Luo, after the shelter has been built to such a large size, the original ventilation function of the new fan should not be enough, right? Why do I rarely feel it? Bored?”

In Chen Chen’s room, Xiao Luo does increase the air supply, but the problem is that Chen Chen sometimes doesn’t feel the feeling of suffocation when he goes to a particularly remote corner.

Xiao Luo replied: ”Because the oxygen content in the abnormal world has increased, the concentration has now reached 25%.”

Hearing this Chen Chen was startled, his brain quickly ran to retrieve the knowledge he had seen before, ”So, aren’t the new-born insects and animals getting bigger and bigger?”

”Yes, Master, it’s okay now, and this phenomenon will become more and more obvious after a long time.” Then Xiao Luo comforted: ”Don’t worry so much, biological evolution is very long, maybe it will take a few dozen days. When a catastrophe like a volcanic eruption begins, the oxygen concentration will naturally drop.”

”Oh, yes.” Hearing Xiao Luo’s explanation, combined with what he’s seen these days, indeed, it must be a long time before such a thing happens.
