Shelter: All-Class Survival

Chapter 101: On the twenty-first day, radiation burst! This time Chen Chen did not clean up the weeds and shrubs. These plants have a blocking effect on smaller beasts, and they are also an extension of the jungle induction.

He just sawed down the surrounding trees, cut the valuables into small pieces of wood and transported them back to the shelter, and piled the worthless ones on the side. In this environment, it doesn’t take long for the wood to decay and become nutrients for other plants.

Yuan Zai was released as usual.

In less than half a month, Yuan Zai’s body has grown bigger, and his ears can reach the middle of Chen Chen’s thigh when he stands up.

The strength has also increased a lot, and he can climb up and down freely with his claws on the stone cracks, very easy.

Last night, Yuan Zai was hugged to his thigh. Chen Chen found that he couldn’t pull him down. Seeing his strength attribute of 5.5, Chen Chen fell into contemplation.

”Actually, it’s good to be hugged by the leg, which means that this child is still too dependent on me. After giving him an order, he can let go. He is a good boy.” Chen Chen explained to Xiao Luo.

However, after Yuan Zai has grown to the current size, it will no longer continue to grow. It used to change every day, but from the day before yesterday to today, the weight has not increased at all, and I don’t know why.

After processing the trees, Chen Chen thickened the wall of the former equipment room by half a meter from the inside, and implanted steel bars to make its overall thickness more than one meter. Ordinary secondary aberrations can’t break through the wall.

Buy charcoal from the trading channel, smash it into small piles, stack them on the ground in front of the shelter, and pour sawdust on them for easy ignition.

These things are not used to burn beasts, but to illuminate the environment below, which can be better output.

The steel plate on the door of the shelter was deformed after the hippo hit, and there was no way to repair it. Fortunately, its edge did not come out of the stone trough, and the stone wall behind the steel plate was already strong, and its defense was not weakened much.

After thinking about it, Chen Chen bought the two earthwork stones from the trading channel, and then used the power of the earth to directly incorporate the stone platform into the portal, and filled it with stones to be flush with the cliff as a whole.

The observation platform is too far from the portal, and the small beasts can’t shoot at all from hiding on the stone platform.

”When there is a chance in the future, install a flip-up super-thick steel plate outside to enhance the defense and also facilitate entry and exit.”

The solar panels have been taken down long ago. The fog is so thick that the power generation is completely negligible.

The corrosion of the fog in the wild is really serious. It only took a few days to hang out, but these solar panels seem to have been used for several years. Aging is very serious.

After dealing with the field, Chen Chen returned to the shelter to seal the portal with the power of the earth, then went up to the observation platform, took out a high-power searchlight and installed it.

”With strong light exposure and my eyesight, it shouldn’t be difficult to see the beasts below.” Chen Chen looked down, ”If the fog is not big on the 21st, I shouldn’t have to waste diesel fuel to ignite the fuel below.”

His shelter is a second-class shelter. When the radiation erupts, there will definitely be aberrant beasts to attack. Now the biggest obstacle that restricts Chen Chen’s counterattack is visibility.

”Jungle perception plus searchlights and firewood should allow me to explore the situation below.”

Chen Chen’s attack power is not lacking at all, and he should be able to kill second-level aberrations like poison arrows and crossbow machines.

Hiding in a sturdy shelter, there is no need to worry about defense. There are not many cases of aberrant beasts in the world that can break through a reinforced stone wall of more than one meter.

While Chen Chen was preparing, the other players were not idle either. The critical moment of death loomed over them, causing them to develop various defensive strategies.

If the shelter is on the mountain, the shelter will be extended into the mountain; the underground shelter will be extended below; the one on the plain will be built with thick log walls, increasing the thickness of the house wall to nearly two meters.

Anyway, there is enough wood, so the players will let go of it. With the blueprint for the reinforcement of the shelter, it is still very simple to continuously strengthen the wall.

Moreover, the players’ shelters are all level 2, and there are very few beasts in their area. If they don’t actively attract them, there are generally not too strong aberration beasts to patronize.

”This is also a kind of protection for vulnerable players.” Chen Chen thought, ”Judging from the information on the decisive battle card, Abnormal World definitely favors players with higher protection levels.”

”And based on the posts refreshed by the aberrant beasts before, it seems that the aberration radiation and the aberration beasts are harmful substances in this world. Our players are a bit like white blood cells and are responsible for removing these things.”

”Second-level shelter is a recognition. With greater power, it also has to undertake more obligations. If the strength is not enough to bear these responsibilities, then there is only death!”

Chen Chen touched his chin: ”It feels a bit like my thinking... Shelter doesn’t support idlers!”

After making these basic preparations, Chen Chen began to create armor-piercing arrows and arrows for giant crossbows.

The arrows of the giant crossbow are one meter two long, the shaft diameter is two centimeters, and the tail is made of rubber. It takes half a catty of distorted iron for one arrow, and the cost is very high.

With Chen Chen’s strong financial resources, he only made ten pieces and then stopped.

After making the arrows, he started to develop poisonous herbs. It was not until half past ten in the evening that he set the alarm clock and went to the bedroom to rest.

……

”When I stepped over everything that was sinking and started to fight for eternity, you were my flag that would not fall. Loving you is like loving life~~~”

”Hmm~” Awakened by the beautiful singing, Chen Chen sat on the bed and stretched out, checking that the time was now 11:40 in the evening.

Get up and do some exercise, go to the living room to put on your gear, bring your prepared weapons, and go up to the observation platform to wait for zero o’clock.

After zero o’clock, the radiation will officially come, and then there will be beasts nearby to attack the shelter. There is still a long time before the real battle, so he is not in a hurry.

Opening the steel plate, Chen Chen looked out, ”The fog is thicker. The visibility...it’s only about five meters.”

The observation deck is more than ten meters away from the ground. With the current visibility, it is impossible to see anything below.

Chen Chen turned on the strong light and found that the visibility had only increased to eight meters, and the bottom was still blurry.

”I’m sorry, the super fruit can’t be used. I hope there won’t be too powerful aberration beasts.”

【Ding! When the distorted radiation day comes, the distorted radiation will increase significantly. 】

【Ding! The distortion radiation system has begun to be upgraded...optimizing...]

【Ding! After the upgrade is complete, the doping areas are merged, and the rest of the upgrades are left to players to explore by themselves. 】

In less than half a minute, three prompts in a row caught the players off guard.

Chen Chen opened the panel to check, and saw that the number of people in the regional forum had increased from 342 to 2,140, and the number of people had increased by nearly nine times!

At the same time as the number of people has expanded, the trading channel has also increased a lot of materials.

Before he could read more, Chen Chen hurriedly went downstairs and ran to the cold storage, and started to contact the wooden and earthwork stones on the purchase and trade channel.

The radiation broke out this morning, and almost all players didn’t sleep, so it was easy to contact the seller.

”Xiao Luo, count the sales information of Fangshi on the trading platform!”

”Good master,” Xiao Luo replied, ”After the statistics, there are now 43 wood ashlars, 14 earth ashlars, 16 gold ashlars, 18 fire ashlars, and 14 water ashlars on the trading platform.”

”Okay!” Chen Chen quickly contacted the sellers of these square stones. He would buy them without hesitation as long as the price of earth stones was around 30 pounds of meat, while wooden stones were cheaper, and he bought a lot for about 25 pounds.

In less than five minutes, Chen Chen spent nine hundred catties of meat to buy twelve earthwork stones and twenty-one wooden stones.

Looking at the neatly placed Fang Shi, Chen Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief, ”It’s so exciting!”

Then Chen Chen began to absorb Fangshi while letting Xiao Luo filter good things for himself.

Fang Shi only absorbed half of it when Xiao Luo’s voice came, ”The master has a leopard aberration coming over and is trying to attack the portal of the shelter. It gave up and started rock climbing to the observation deck.”

”So fast!”

Chen Chen was startled, he absorbed the earthwork in his hand, packed the rest away, and quickly boarded the observation deck.

He opened the steel plate and looked around. Sure enough, he saw a leopard trying to climb to the observation deck. The distance was only four meters.

Chen Chen took out the red sandalwood bow, put on the armor-piercing arrow, pulled the bow to a full circle, and shot the leopard with one arrow.

Bang!

The leopard was directly shot in the head, and the corpse fell with the scattered blood.

Now that a beast has been killed and its blood is scattered, I believe that a large number of beasts will soon be attracted.

The battle has officially started!

At this moment, Chen Chen didn’t have time to look at the forums and trading channels, so he took out Fang Shi and continued to absorb it~www.wuxiaspot.com~ It would be good to have an extra point of strength before the war.

woohoo, woohoo~~

woo~~ squeak~~

Chen Chen threw the **** of Fangshi aside, stood up and listened carefully into the distance, and muttered, ”This seems to be the cry of a monkey!”

At this moment, the blood moon is in the sky, and the screams of the monkeys set off the night more bleak and terrifying.

Chen Chen took a deep breath, took out a pre-made arrow tied with a thin rubber diesel bag, lit the arrow, opened the jungle perception, locked the firewood below, and shot the arrow at it.

puff~~

The arrow hit the firewood pile, and the diesel bag at the back was ruptured by force, and it immediately burned when it met the flames in front.

Through the firewood, I could finally see the situation below vaguely.

Now that he was discovered, Chen Chen didn’t hide it anymore, he turned on the searchlight and went directly into the forest to let these monkeys gather quickly.

The shelter portal below has basically been integrated with the cliff, and it can’t hold hatred like before. These monkeys should climb up the cliff when they see the light above.

After three or four minutes, the calls of these monkeys got closer and closer, and when they ran to the shelter, Chen Chen finally saw the faces of these monkeys through the camera.

This is actually a group of baboons. There are more than 30 baboons in total, and some of them are very large. At first glance, they are aberrations.

These baboons came with stones and sticks in their hands. After they came, they knocked on the door of the shelter and ran around. Some baboons went directly to the leopard’s body and bit it.

Soon they found that it seemed useless to do so, and began to climb towards the observation deck.
