The system takes me to fly

Chapter 87 The Emberless Worm in the Mutation Period

Before going in, Xu Yi and Xiao Yuyan walked into the room together after taking protective measures in the cubicle.

There are three single beds in the middle of the room, on which lie three young men, all of whom are about 25 or [-] years old.The three of them closed their eyes calmly. If others saw them, they would think they were just asleep.

”These three people were still awake for a period of time at the beginning, and they fell into a coma after everyone around them was parasitized. Therefore, people in my team suspected that they were parasitized by the Emberless Mother Worm.”

The person in charge of the room was in the same position as Xiao Yuyan, and had a good or bad relationship. He simply stated the team members’ guesses, and casually threw the information to Xiao Yuyan for him to read.

”Captain Qi, this alone cannot confirm that it is a female parasite.”

The content on the information is just a little more detailed description. In addition to the people of the Sun family, there are also members of the law enforcement team who were accidentally tricked.

”That’s why I want to contact Captain Xiao.”

Captain Qi asked the team members to bring a plate, and in the plate was a closed round cover. Inside was a ferocious flying insect, which looked like a flying mosquito but was much smaller, and had two more pairs of hooked feet than the mosquito.

”No Ember, Zi Worm...”

Xu Yi shrank his pupils and said the name of the bug.

”That’s right, it’s the Emberless Worm.”

Captain Qi smiled abruptly on his face that had always been dull, glanced at Xiao Yuyan and said, ”We have a top insect trainer here, and we were going to lure the female insect out of one of them, but it suddenly flew over. A group of such insects scared the female insect back.”

”Fortunately, we had quick eyesight and quick hands, and immediately caught the group of worms. Unfortunately, all the other worms died, and only this one was left alive.”

Hearing this, Xiao Yuyan frowned disapprovingly, the killing of the mother worm was already decided, and what Captain Qi did was obviously superfluous.

”Captain Qi, didn’t the higher-ups say that killing Wujin should be the main thing? You are making your own decisions.”

”Heh, Captain Xiao, N City has a special geography and has many masters who train and raise insects. They are very curious about this kind of insects they have never seen before. It happens that a top insect trainer is coming to help. Of course, I am inconvenient.” blocked.”

Captain Qi from N City is a local, and has heard and seen all kinds of ways to play with insects since he was a child. He takes it for granted that he trusts the local strange people, and scoffs at the practice of traditional Chinese medicine to kill insects with needles.

”Nonsense!” Xiao Yuyan was almost pissed off by Captain Qi’s natural attitude.

Before he came, he was dissatisfied with the grand family of the Sun Clan, but he didn’t expect to find out that the law enforcement team of N City had also got involved.

Coming and going again and again made the troublesome things even more complicated.

”That’s too much, I’m not doing this to avoid future troubles.”

Captain Qi looked indifferent, and said in a tone that he thought he was reasonable: ”Who knows if Wujin will appear in other places, if we study them thoroughly, it will be easy to catch them when we meet again. ”

”It’s easy to catch? There has been an explicit instruction from above, and you will kill the insects when you see them. Why do you still want to keep them?”

Xiao Yuyan stared coldly, thinking that the other party was really whimsical, if something went wrong, the other party would definitely be fired from the law enforcement team for dereliction of duty.

”Aren’t they all bugs? With so many experts in our city N, are you afraid that you won’t be able to play with such little bugs?”

Hearing such words, Xiao Yuyan laughed back angrily, he didn’t want to argue with self-righteous people anymore, as long as he thinks about this matter a little, he can know that it is not as simple as it appears on the surface, there may be human interference in the obvious appearance of Wujin.

Among them, the most doubtful is the Sun family.

As a result, the captain still wants to play with bugs, which is unreasonable! What exactly gave him confidence?

”No.” Xu Yi said suddenly, causing the two of them to look at the past together.

When Xiao Yuyan was arguing with Captain Qi, Xu Yi had been observing the sealed worm, watching it through the transparent glass, not missing any traces.

”It’s not a worm.”

”Didn’t you just say that they are true? Why, now you deny it. Sure enough, young people are unreliable.”

When he saw Xu Yi’s young face, Captain Qi already disliked him, and when he heard the words, he even mocked Xu Yi for being young.

She didn’t care about his words, Xu Yi’s brows hadn’t been relaxed since just now.

With a heavy heart, Xu Yi thought to himself, as expected, before flying here, his premonition was right, there was going to be a tough battle in N City.

”Or it should be said that it’s not exactly a worm, because this embers worm is in the mutation stage.”

”What?!” Xiao Yuyan stood up in shock, staring at Xu Yi with wide eyes and asked.

”Xu Yi, tell me what’s going on?!”

Seeing the anxious expression of his uncle, Xu Yi let out a sigh, and then told the two of his findings in a solemn tone: ”When the mother insect is killed, the child insect will enter the mutation period until it evolves into a A new mother to lead the swarm.”

”We all know this, so hurry up and get to the point.” Captain Qi also felt that the matter was troublesome, and anxiously asked Xu Yi to speak clearly.

”Captain Qi said before that you caught a lot of them, but they all died, right?”

”Yes, the others either died or flew away. The only seedling that was finally caught, but it took us a lot of effort to make it survive.”

”Captain Qi, are those dead worms the same as this one?”

Xu Yi very much hoped that the answer would be no, but——

”It’s exactly the same. I checked carefully and they all have the same physical characteristics.” As a local, Captain Qi is naturally curious about the newly released bugs, and even the whole team participated to make sure that they look exactly the same.

”Mother insects are not afraid of young insects.”

With a sinking heart, Xu Yi said slowly.

”The only ones who will be afraid are the larvae that are also in the mutation stage and are about to become mother insects.”

Captain Qi still couldn’t understand Xu Yi’s words, but Xiao Yuyan, who had chatted with Xu Yi without ember, was startled, his face darkened suddenly, and he rushed to the tray to stare at the little bug.

”Insect extermination! Hurry up and start the extermination operation!”

Immediately, Xiao Yuyan turned his head and called to Captain Qi, asking him to quickly order to control the entry and exit of the entire Sun Clan.

”Captain Xiao, I invited you here just for reference. Are you trying to seize power?”

Captain Qi is not happy to be ordered by Xiao Yuyan of the same rank, as the same captain, who can order whom?

”I……”

Xiao Yuyan, who was about to swear, stopped in time. He was also about to be driven mad by this incomprehensible Captain Qi. He took several deep breaths to calm himself down and speak.

”Xu Yi means...” Xiao Yuyan pointed to the three lying Sun Clan members.

”It’s not the mother worm that parasitizes them.”

”That is to say, except for the newly born worms in the Wujin group, the rest are worms in the mutation stage!”

Since the mutated worms have a chance to evolve into female worms, it means that they also have the ability to lay eggs.

Even if they can only lay one egg at a time, how many larvae are there now? !The reproductive instinct of living things, after the mother worm is killed, the larvae will collectively mutate and produce more larvae to prevent the extinction of the population.

”Hurry up, go out and inform the other side, let the master insect trainer and the others withdraw from that village tribe!”

”Go and call all the villages and invite Chinese medicine practitioners to kill the insects together.”

Hearing this, Captain Qi couldn’t help but also panicked. He had received information from G City, which specifically stated that if the female insects were killed and the other larvae were not killed in time, the consequences would be disastrous.

At that time, he still felt that Captain Xiao in G City was making a fuss, but now, when he heard that most of them were mutated bugs, he suddenly felt dizzy.

This time, City N might really be in chaos...

Xiao Yuyan glanced at Captain Qi, seeing him like this, he has not yet invited a Chinese medicine doctor over, no wonder the village here fell so quickly.

”Brother, I’m going to save people first.”

A roll of silver needles was carefully sterilized, and the matter was urgent. There were too many people who were parasitized, and there were too few scalp needles in the suit, so Xu Yi could only use other silver needles in the box to top it.

”Okay, thank you for your hard work.”

The brother-in-law-to-be was busy saving people, and Xiao Yuyan was not idle, except that he called to report to the superior in the sealed room, requesting that more people be sent here for support.

Xu Yi first asked people to move the three of them together, and then took out three silver needles and inserted them on the top of the heads of the three, moving his fingers sequentially and using the swinging needles to kill the mutant insects.

”—!”

Three weak electronic sounds exploded, causing Xu Yi’s brows to bulge, thinking of the electric sound that sounded when killing female worms in Bo’ai Hospital.

Before other Chinese medicine practitioners came, Xu Yi wore a protective suit and walked into the Sun Clan’s isolated rooms one after another to treat the unconscious and parasitized patients.

”Hello? Hello?”

In order to save time, Xu Yi used multiple silver needles to save people at the same time. After treating dozens of people, Xu Yi’s headset completely lost its function, and it seemed that the conversation function was destroyed by the beeping sound when Wujin died.

He didn’t even bother to change the headset, it would break anyway, after curing all the people in the isolation house of the Sun family, Xu Yi got on the convoy to the village, and the other accompanying cars were nine Chinese medicine doctors who were urgently found .

”The peace of City N rests on everyone.”

Captain Qi’s deputy scolded Captain Qi for pushing himself to top the tank, but no one had a high position, so he could only endure his anger at the captain and entrust Xu Yi with their hopes.

Among the ten villages, Xu Yi and the group of Chinese medicine doctors are each in charge of one.Together with Xu Yi, two members of the law enforcement team moved the patients in each isolation room together so that Xu Yi could perform multi-needle therapy.

At present, it seems that Chinese medicine is enough, but Xu Yi’s nerves are always tense.

Xu Yi always felt that the matter might be more serious than imagined, and it seemed that the matter was developing in an unknown direction. He chose to use multiple needles at the same time, which was also prompted by the anxiety in his heart.

It was as if there was a voice telling him: hurry up, hurry up again.
